In exercise of the power conferred by section 19 read with section 52 and 67 of the Inland Vessels Act 1917 (Central Act Iof 1917), the Government of Goa hereby fixes the rates of Annual Inspection of Passenger Launches/Sports Craftg both less than 15 tonnes net for short duration sailing and various types of water sports activities etc. at beaches on the Coast/Location falling outside the declared Inland Water Limits and regulated under the guidelines of Director-General of Shipping, Mumbai and Carrying not more than 12 passenger shall be charged Rs. 500/- for issue of Annual N.O.C. and as inspection fees per craft Rs. 500/- for all Small Passenger Launches/Sport Crafts etc. On overtime work Rs. 200/shall be charged for per hour.

In exercise ofthe powers conferred by sub-sebJ;ion (4) of Section 61 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Shops and Establishments Act, 1973 (Act 13 of 1974) (hereinafter referred to as the "said Act"), the Government of Goa, hereby exempts all the Information Technology units including Information Technology Enabled Services Units in the State of Goa, from the provisions of sections 10,11 and 16 of the said Act, for a period of 5 (five) years, subject to the following conditions, namely:-

(1) For the work done beyond 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week, the employee shall be entitled for overtime wages at double the actual rate of wages.

(2) The management is permitted to engage young persons during the night shift, subject to provision

of adequate security during the course of employment and to and fro transport from their respective residence.

Whereas it appears to the Government of Goa (hereinafter referred to as "the Government") that the land specified in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the "said land") is likely to be needed for public .purpose viz. Land Acquisitic;n for pwtection of Archaeological remains of temple of Shree Mhalsadevi at Verna in Salcete Thluka.

Now, therefore, the Government hereby notifies, under sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Land AcquiSition Act, 1894 (Central Act 1 of 1894) (hereinafter referred to as the "said Act") that the said land is likely to be needed for the purpose specified above.

2. All persons interested in the said land 'are hereby warned not to obstruct or interfere with any surveyor or other persons employed upon the said land for the purpose of the said acquisition. Any contract for the disposal of the said land by sale, lease, mortgage, assignment, exchange or otherwise, or any outlay commenced or improvements made thereon without the sanction of the Collector appointed under paragraph 4 below, after the date of the publication of this Notification, will under clause (seventh) of section 24 of the said Act, be disregarded by him while assessing compensation for such parts of the said land as may be finally acquired.

3. If the Government is satisfied that the said land is needed for the aforesaid purpose, a declaration to that effect under section 6 of the said Act will be published

, in the Official Gazette and in two daily newspapers and public notice thereof shall be given in due course. If the acquisition is abandoned wholly or in part, the fact will also be notified, in the same manner.

4. The Government further appoints, under clause (c) of section 3 of the said Act, the Dy. Collector (L.A.), Margao·Goa to perform the functions of the Collector, South Goa District, Margao, under the said Act in respect of the said land .

5. The Government also authorises under sub-section (2) of section 4 of the said Act, the following Officers to do the Acts, specified therein in respect of the said land.

1. The Collector, South Goa District, Margao·Goa.

2. The Deputy Collector (L.A.), Margao·Goa.

3. The Director of Archives & Archaeology, PanajiGoa.

4. The Director of Settlement and Land Records, Panaji-Goa.

6. A rough plan of the said land is available for inspection in the Office of the Dy. Collector (L.A.), Margao·Goa, for a period of 30 days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
