Training-Workshop on Desktop Publishing
To: Schools Division/ City Superintendents
1. This Office will be conducting a training-workshop for the LRMDS Core Team on Desktop
Publishing on September 17-18, 2015 (excluding travel time) at the 3rd Floor Conference Room, DepEd
Regional Office 7, Lahug, Cebu City. This is a continuation of the workshop on the Development and
Production sub-system which was held on July 22-24, 2015. First meal to be served is dinner of
September 16, 2015 and the last meal is breakfast of September 19, 2015.
2. Participants to this training-workshop are as follows:
Region:
a) CLMD Chief
b) CLMD Education Program Supervisors
Division;
a) Education Program Supervisor for LRMDS
b) LRMDS Development and Production Coordinator (Designate from CID)c) Instructional Designer (Designate from CID)
d) Desktop Publisher/Developer (ITO or ICT Coordinator Designate or PDO II for LRMDS)
3. The following are the objectives of the training-workshop:
a) explain the basics and purpose of desktop publishing;
b) apply the basic desktop publishing principles and techniques to the development of printbased digital resources;
c) create a style guide, storyboard, script, and apply to the alpha version (first draft) of a newresource.

4. Participants are required to register at http://tinyurl.com/lrmds-dtp on or before
September 16, 2015.
5. Board and lodging will be at DepEd ECOTECH Center, Lahug, Cebu City and shall be charged
against Regional HRTD funds. Transportation and other related expenses, shall be charged against
Division HRTD/local funds subject to the existing accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
Participants are advised to bring laptops and extension cords.
6. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Memorandum is hereby directed.
