The RKP‑ISC‑2220 Intelligent System Controller with anintegrated dual reader interface serves as the primaryaccess control engine for ReadykeyPRO input/outputinterfaces. It supports connections to multiplecombinations of ReadykeyPRO Input Control Modules,Output Control Modules, and Card Reader InterfaceModules. The RKP‑ISC‑2220 provides power, performance,and flexibility for the most demanding applications.

Note The RKP-ISC-2220 requires ReadykeyPRO6.1.222 software or newer.

System Overview

The RKP‑ISC‑2220 Intelligent System Controller provides asingle-board solution for interfacing one or two doors to aReadykeyPRO system. In addition, other I/O and readerinterface modules can be added on the RKP‑ISC‑2220’sdownstream port to expand its capabilities. TheRKP‑ISC‑2220 is scalable for any access control application,from the most basic to the most sophisticated. In the eventof communication loss, the RKP‑ISC‑2220 allows nearly alllocal functionality to continue unimpaired until the serverconnection is restored.

CommunicationsUtilizing its native Ethernet communications and anadvanced 32-bit processor, the RKP‑ISC‑2220 cancommunicate upstream to the host computer through itsEthernet port, or alternately at up to 115.2 Kbps usingRS‑232 communication directly or through an external dial-up modem. The RKP‑ISC‑2220 supports one downstreamRS‑485 two-wire port, which can be used to connect up to32 devices (maximum 64 doors).

Input/OutputTwo on-board reader ports support Data1/Data0, Clock/Data, Bioscrypt RS‑485 readers, and the bidirectionalRS‑485 OSDP communications. Each RKP‑ISC‑2220supports up to eight different card formats. TheRKP‑ISC‑2220 includes eight inputs that support normallyopen, normally closed, supervised, and unsupervisedcircuits. In addition, four output relays support fail-safe orfail-secure operation.
