Neck profiles are further shaped by hand, and then finely sanded for a comfortable finish. Using steam and heat as instrument makers have for centuries, the sides are bent into place before being glued into a final mold. Every detail is painstakingly addressed before final assembly of the body.

Every last detail has been considered in developing the Recording King Century Jubilee Series guitars. They represent the most careful and exquisite crafting techniques of the Recording King workshop, from the attention to the neck profile to the hand-fitted dovetail neck joint to the peghead angles, to the hand-scalloped bracing. Each nitrocellulose finish guitar is hand-rubbed for smoothness and consistency, insuring an even, dynamic tone with unparalleled clarity and resonance.

Each of our premium selected tonewoods are dried in a special temperature and humidity-controlled environment. Once the top is cut, and the radius braces are roughly shaped, traditional, hand-made go-bar decks are used to glue the bracing to the top. The final shape of each brace is then meticulously hand-chiseled for maximum responsiveness.

On the all-solid Century Series models, the neck wood is carefully chosen so that the neck can be shaped from a single piece of mahogany.

Based on original 1902 000 guitar designs, each guitar is built with lighter bracing for more reso-nance, and the ebony pyramid bridge provides more transpar-ent sound vibration to the hand selected tops. The Nitrocel-lulose lacquer finish is dried for 8 weeks in order to insure that the lacquer is fully cured. Both the gloss and matte finishes al-low the guitars to sing powerfully and clearly.
