I am pleased to report that our school did really well, placing third. Congratulations to all our team members and of course to Mr Tomasevich for his work, being ably supported by the hard working Mrs West, Mr Smeed, Mrs London and Mrs Hooper, who all coordinated training and preparation leading up to the day as well as supervising and organising on the day. I would also like to acknowledge the hard work of our gardener, Mrs Dawn Wallis for her efforts in preparing the track and the other areas. Go Rivo! Finally, thanks to the parents who were able to come along and support the children last week. It was great to see so many parents, grandparents and families at the school. Our basketball players travelled to Lakeside in Bibra Lake yesterday to compete in the Interschool Basketball competition. I was lucky enough to see a number of games and was very impressed with the skills and endeavour displayed by our students across all our teams. Congratulations to all the students involved and thank you to Mrs London and Mr Tomasevich for their hard work in the lead up to, and on the day of the event. Thanks also to those parents able to attend and to those who took a role in helping out with the teams. It was wonderful to listen to the choir at the Senior Assembly on Friday morning as they presented a few songs to the audience. The performance was enjoyed by everyone and we thank Mr Davey and the choir for their work and preparation. The choir are heading off later this term to perform at several outside venues and I wish them well. LAKESIDE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT Congratulations to all teams who participated in the Lakeside Basketball tournament. It was a great display of skill from all teams with one of the Future Stars Boys teams going through undefeated and with Jack (Room 18) winning MVP of the tournament. The All Stars Girls team went through the regular fixtures undefeated but unfortunately losing it in a tough match against Beechboro in the grand final. It was a great day and I can’t thank all the parent helpers enough because without you, the day wouldn’t have been such a success. FREMANTLE CUP FOOTBALL Due to unfortunate circumstances, Riverton Primary will not be able to participate in the Fremantle Cup this year. More information to come at Senior Sport for those who expressed their interest. REGIONAL CRICKET TOURNAMENT With the regionals fast approaching students are asked to listen out over the PA system with information in regards to team selection for the up and coming tournament. It is being held at Yokine Reserve with fixture being released at some point this week with the selected team. Important up and coming dates

WOW!! What a difference a week makes. We have gone from 4,705 points to 5,623 in just one week. That is a lot of fresh and healthy fruit and vegetables. Thank you to our amazing families. You are all superstars. Thank you for continuing to support your wonderful school. Little contributions to the program make a big difference! Nat Smith Co-ordinator

Congratulations Pavanasan Room 22 on being selected into the WA State Schools U12 Cricket Team. Pavanasan will compete in Bunbury during December 2018. Good luck, Pavanasan. Your school community wishes you all the best for December.

Does your child/ren do activities outside school? Dancing, sport, debating, musical instrument? Are they representing a team or club? The school would love to hear and celebrate the achievements that our students make away from school. Send the information to [email protected] so we can celebrate with our community.
