DATE/TIME OF ARREST
On December 15, 2015, Horry County
Police
OfficerDulina received acall for service
at
1283 SHwy
57,
within the
Little
River section of
Horry
County in reference to a larceny complaint.
Upon
arrival Officer Dulina
met
with the complainant,
principal, Mrs. Underwood,
and
the
bookeeper, Mr. Campman.
Mr Campman advised
that
it was brought
to his
attention by
the
director of the child
care
program that the suspect
was
acting strange within the past several weeks, showed an overwhelming interest in receiving the money from
parents,
and
would
always
want to drop
the money
bag
at the
end
of
the work day. He
added that
on one
occasion
she
told the
director that she
had to
drop something in the mailbox ofthe
principal
and stated she would drop the
money offunder
the
bookkeepers
door; however, the director
checked
the principals
mailbox
and it was
empty.
On
December
7,
2015 Mr Campman advised the director
to take a
picture
ofall
the money,
receipts, and place
them
in
the
bag.
He
added that the suspect took the bag from the director and delivered it to the bookkeepers office; however, on the
morning ofDecember
8,
2015, Mr. Campman,
the
principal, and the director of
the
child care program opened the orrice
door together and found the bag to be 170 short. Furthermore, the receipt was
missing,
and after
reviewing
the video

footage, thesuspectisseen walking down the hall
from
the cafeteria,
rounding
the corner togo toward the bookkeepers
officer,
butshe later sits down on the chair.
While
seated you can see the suspect un-zip the money bag, pull out
several
payments, set one aside, return all other items, andzip the bag up; however, as shewalks to drop the bag
it
is clear
thereis
something
in
her
hand
aftershe
zipped
the bag, suspected to be the 170and
receipt.
Seeing
this,
the
administration began an audit investigation and
found
several
transactions,
somethe suspectsigned the receipt
for,
that
never made
itto
the bookkeeper
sheet
attached).
Mr. Campman
stated
several things
that
raised their suspicion:
the
duty
ofthe
director
isto
receive the payments
from
the
parents
and drop
the
money
atthe
end
oftheday;
however,
there are times where the
director
is
dealing
with a
child/parent
and issimply
not
able to
due such;
at
which
time the
director would delegate
the
assignment
toa
staff
member, suchas thesuspect, which she
showed
an overly odd interest in being delegated that
task.
The receipt
book
is
a
three part
booklet: white,
pink, and
yellow, all ofwhich are carbon
copy
style.
The
white
copy
is
given
tothe parent,
the
yellow
is attached to the money and
placed
into
the
money
bag, and
the
pink remains in the
receipt
booklet.
Upon
conducting
the audit administration found
several pink
copies
in the
booklet that never had a match to the yellow copy;
meaning it
was never received by the bookkeeper.
Looking
further,
most of those transactions
were received by the
suspect, and
on
video
for
those days she is seen carrying the money bag to the bookkeepers.
After
the administration
interviewed the suspect she
claimed
on the day
the
170 was missing and shesat on
the
chair prior
to
dropping the
money, that she
was
simply just matching
the
receipts to
the money,
which is not her duty to do
so, and
could not
provide an
explanation
as
to
what
she
pulled
out
of
the bag.
Concluding
their investigation the
suspect
was
subsequently
placed
on
administration
leave with pay, pending theoutcome ofthe
investigation.
Officer
Dulina
received
all
receipt booklets
and
scanned into
the
report. The video footage
is
being obtained in
upcoming days.
Officer Dulina
contacted Sgt Graham
and
advised him of the incident,
and
the extensive time needed
to
investigate
this
case; atwhich
time
he
advised
to
forward
the case tohave
it
assignedto a
detective.
The suspect has not been contacted by
Officer
Dulina at the
time
of
this report.
There was no further information available at
the
