CONSTRUCTION
GENERAL: Post type with wound primary, insulated by brown epoxy resin. (Grey resin on request).
PRIMARY TERMINALS: Details are shown overleaf. All terminals are of nickel plated copper. Type “D”: for direct connection of primary conductor. Type “H”: horizontal palms with one bolt of metric size Ml 2 (up to 600A) or two bolts Ml2 (>600... 1500A). Any other
palms or NEMA pads on request. Type “V”: vertical palms with one bolt Ml2 (up to 600A) or two bolts Ml2 (>600 . . . 1500A). Type “F”: flat, upright terminals (up to 800A) with one bolt M12. CT’s with series-parallel primary winding have a transparent and sealable cap at the top to cover the links for changing of ratio.
SECONDARY TERMINALS: Screws of nickel plated brass of size M6. For details of terminal box see below.
BASE: Standard design: two mounting brackets of galvanized steel. Without secondary terminal box. Earthing at one of the mounting brackets.
Special design: mounting base and secondary terminal box of aluminium alloy. Terminal box with transarent and sealable cover. Grade of protection: IP52 in compliance with DIN 40050 and IEC 529. Each secondary terminal can be earthed by means of a “screw-through-connection” inside the box. Three cable glands Pg16 for cables up to 16mm diameter are provided. One earthing bolt of size M8 on the opposite side to the terminal box.
MOUNTING: In any position, even upside down.

overleaf. These bars are guided by caps with appropriate orifices. Caps are of aluminium alloy. Types GSSO.. have no busbars. Guiding caps for busbars can be provided on GSSO 10, sizes 1 and 2 as well as on
GSSO 20, size 1. Dimensions of available caps are shown overleaf. The guiding caps can be shifted to put the busbars either in horizontal or in vertical position. This applies to GSSO.. as well as to GSS..
APERTURES: For available dimensions please see overleaf. The inner surface of both the GSSO.. and the GSS.. consists of a brass tube which is fitted with a flexible terminal to be connected to the primary conductor to keep the CT on the same potential level. (GSS.. are supplied with that terminal already connected to one of the busbars).

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Post type C.T., dry type. Inner insulation and head of outdoor-proof cycloaliphatic epoxy resin having excellent mechanical and electrical properties. Outer insulation by a brown (RAL 8016) porcelain insulator with plain sheds to DIN 48115. The space between porcelain and resin is filled with polyurethane foam. The primary windings and the cores with secondary windings are cast under vacuum in one working process and subsequently hardened under pressure.
ELECTRICAL FEATURES STANDARDS: In compliance with all national or international standards, such
as ANSI, AS, BS, CSA, IEC, NBN, NEN, OVE, SEN, SEV, UTE, VDE and to any special requirements.
INSULATION LEVEL: System voltages up to 725kV. One-minute power-frequency test voltage up to 140kV. Basic impulse insulation level (BIL) up to 380kV.

CONSTRUCTION
GENERAL:Bushing type(through-the-walltype) insulated by epoxy resin. Without primaryconductor. CT’s can be supplied complete with two or three nickel plated copper bars 80x10 or lOOxlOmm or only with caps with orifices to guide the bars. Other dimensions to be agreed upon. Designs for airtight installation are also available.
APERTURES: From 115 to 380mm diameter, coated with brass sheet which is fitted with a flexible terminal for connection to the primary
conductor to keep the CT on the same potential level.
SECONDARY TERMINAL BOX: Of aluminium alloy, with sealable and transparent cover. The terminals are of nickel plated brass and of metric size M6. Each terminal can be earthed by means of a simple screw-through connection inside the terminal box.
Two cable glands Pg16 for cables up to max. 16mm diameter are provided.
EARTHING: One bolt of metric size M8 is provided at the terminal box.
MOUNTING: In any position.
COMMISSIONING: Units are supplied ready for service. Just connect to system. Special tools are not necessary.

CONSTRUCTION
GTDSOFI 30 size 41
GENERAL: Bushing type (through-the-wall type), insulated by weather-proof cycloaliphatic epoxy resin. Colour of resin: brown. (Grey resin on request). Special features: Good ability to withstand ultra-violet rays. Practically non-inflammable. Cycloaliphatic resin does not split off carbon under the influence of surface ionisation. Generally without busbars. Caps with orifices to guide the primary conductor can be provided for outdoor units. Outdoor- indoor units have such guiding caps as a regular equipment. The caps, of aluminium or resin, prevent ingress of water to the building. Dimensions of required orifices to be advised when inquiring. - Nickel plated copper bars or any other conductors can be provided to customer’s specification. - For airtight installation we can modify the outdoor-indoor units appropriately.
APERTURES: Type GTDSOF 1 O/O: 134mm diameter. Other types: 205 or 297mm diameter. The inner surface consists of an aluminium tube which is fitted with a flexible terminal for connection to the primary conductor to keep the CT on the same potential level.
SECONDARY TERMINAL BOX: GTDSOF 1 O/O: The terminal box is part of the resin body (homogeneous casting). The other designs have a terminal box of aluminium alloy. All boxes have a sealable cover. Terminals are of nickel plated brass of size M6. All terminal boxes are provided with cable glands of size Pg16. Location of glands is shown overleaf. Pg16 is suitable for cables up to 16mm diameter (outdoor-indoor units) and for cables of 10 to 14mm (outdoor units). Optional for outdoor units: Pg21 for cables of 14 to 18mm diameter. On request: X-inch-conduit hubs. All the CT’s have secondary terminals which can be earthed inside the terminal box, either by means of a “screw-through- connection” or by a link.
MOUNTING: The resin flange of the outdoor CT’s is equipped with four corner pieces of aluminium alloy. Outdoor-indoor units have a projecting flange of aluminium alloy. This flange prevents ingress of water to the building. Mounting in any position. (When outdoor units are horizontally mounted: terminal box downwards).
EARTHING: Type GTDSOF IO/O can be earthed at one of the corner pieces. The other types have one earthing bolt of metric size M8 at the terminal box.
MECHANICAL STRENGTH: When installing our regular equipment, any mechanical forces are to be absorbed by post insulators supporting the primary conductor. As a non-standard option, the CT’s can be equipped with special guiding caps and extra strong mounting flanges suitable to withstand mechanical forces up to 6000N.
TROPICALIZED DESIGN: On outdoor units free of charge. On outdoor-indoor units at a small surcharge.

THERMAL RATING (temperature rise less than 55” C): Standard design: 9OOVA continuously (2500VA for 6 minutes). Special design: 1500VA continuously (2500VA for 20 minutes).
VOLTAGE FACTOR: Up to 1.2 continuously. One-pole units: up to 1.9 for 8 hours.
ADDITIONAL APPLICATION: For use as discharge reactors on capacitor banks. When inquiring please advise the bank’s Mvar rating to be discharged as well as the intended number and time intervals of discharges.
TESTS: Routine tests to applicable standard. Measurement of internal partial discharges is performed as a routine test.
CONSTRUCTION GENERAL: Core and windings are completely enclosed in weather-proof cycloaliphatic epoxy resin. Colour of resin: brown RAL
8017. (Grey resin on request). Special features: Extremely long creepage distance. Good ability to withstand ultra-violet rays. Practically non-inflammable. Cycloaliphatic resin does not split off carbon under influence of surface ionisation. Units are suitable use in heavily polluted and coastal areas.
PRIMARY TERMINAL(S): Stem(s) of 20mm diameter, 55mm long, of nickel plated and tinned brass. Clamp type connectors on request. Type GSZF has two fully insulated primary terminals. Type GSEF has one. The other end of the primary winding is insulated to withstand a power-frequency test voltage of 3kV. This grounded end is located inside the secondary terminal box. On request: GSEF with insulated neutral terminal in compliance with IEEE (ANSI) and CSA, i.e. the primary winding withstands an applied test voltage of 19kV - the neutral end is routed to a separate terminal on the opposite side to the terminal box.
SECONDARY TERMINAL BOX: The terminal box is part of the resin body (homogeneous casting). The cover is sealable. Grade of protection: IP 54 to DIN 40050 and IEC 529. Terminals are of nickel plated brass of size M6. They can be earthed by a link inside the terminal box. One cable gland (for cables of IO to 14mm diameter) and one blind plug both sized Pg16 belong to the regular equipment. Optional: plug size Pg21 for cables of 14 to 18mm diameter. On request: conduit hubs up to one inch.
BASE: Two strong mounting brackets of hot-dip galvanized steel. EARTHING: One bolt M12, opposite to the terminal box.
MOUNTING: Vertical erect or (terminal box downwards) in horizontal position.
COMMISSIONING: Units are supplied ready for service. Just connect to system. Special tools are not necessary.
