Mindfulness @ Milton
Breathing ClassesBreathing classes will be offered before school and last approximately 15
minutes. These classes focus on topics of anxiety, stress, emotions, self-
care, personal growth, inner peace and resilience while teaching
breathing techniques. They help students find a calm and focus before
class.
Relaxation ClassesRelaxation classes promote deep rest and relaxation. Body scans and
breath awareness are used to calm the nervous system leading to less
stress and better health. Essentially these classes are "active" naps.
Movement ClassesMovement classes combine a physical practice with breathing
techniques to strengthen muscles and relieve stress. Similar to breathing
classes, movement classes focus on topics of anxiety, stress, emotions, self-
care, personal growth, inner peace and resilience.
Classes are currently offered during both lunch periods and before/after
school!
Gifted Services (TAG) in High School
• If your student has ever been tested and identified as Gifted in
elementary or middle school, they will continue in Gifted in High
school.
• There are many opportunities for enrichment for Gifted Students at
Milton
• Please attend the TAG parent meeting in the fall during Open House to
learn about the opportunities.

SKILLS, TRANSITION ACTIVITIES AND SKILLS, AND SELF-
DETERMINATION SKILLS.
ENGINEERING• LEVEL 1 IS FOUNDATIONS AND THIS IS WHERE STUDENTS LEARN THE BASICS
FOR BUILDING AND HOW TO USE THE EQUIPMENT.
• LEVEL 2 IS CONCEPTS SKILLS ACQUIRED IN FOUNDATIONS ARE USED FOR
CONSTRUCTING MASTER PROJECTS.
• LEVEL 3 IS APPLICATIONS STUDENTS EXPAND ON THEIR MASTER PROJECTS AND
CONTINUE TO EXPLORE NEW AVENUES.
