The Power of Thought(Excerpts from the satsang of Pujya Bapuji)

The power of thought is greater than the power of automobiles, ships or even atom bombs. Atom bombs are exploded, diffused, discovered and invented by thoughts. Hencethoughts play a significant role. The thoughts of seeking refuge in God or attaining God aremore conducive to happiness. Hatred leads oneself as well as others to ruin. Attachmentmakes oneself as well as others sensualist. Thoughts oriented towards divine love neutralizeattachment and hatred.

One thought leads to amity while another leads to enmity and strife. One thoughtrelegates a person from a spiritual aspirant to a worldly man, while another makes a worldlyman self-controlled and leads him to divinity. One good thought of Siddharth made him self-controlled and led him to divinity. Hence, whenever a good thought arises in the mind, oneshould stick to it.

One wretched idea becomes a problem for crores of people. See how one lowly idea ofRavana caused problems for the whole of Lanka and for the apes. Similarly, one wretchedidea of Alexander and Hitler killed many people and brought destruction all around.

The British Professors of Britains world famous Cambridge University planted in themind of a student called Abdul Latif the devious idea of dividing India to create Pakistan. He started sending posters and booklets with maps of Pakistan to India. Initially, this didntevoke any response. Even Mr. Jinnah termed it fanatic. It was not at all possible! However, those who encouraged this evil idea became instrumental in dividing India and creatingPakistan, the evil consequences of which are victimizing us even today. Noble citizens arebeing terrorized. Extra military forces, missiles and fighter planes two parts of India arefighting against each other wasting their own energy and resources. Billions and trillions ofrupees have been wasted due to one evil idea! One devious idea that arose at that time, rendered crores of people homeless, claimed lakhs of innocent lives, outraged the modesty ofthousands of women and killed thousands of children. One noble idea of my Gurudev, Hisaspiration for God, is leading millions of people towards God-realization and towards a nobleand pious life. People are greatly benefitted.

One gets noble thoughts through satsang and evil ideas from instigators. Islam is indanger kill the infidels! This is an evil idea. However, Bakhtu Bibi (according to somescholars Marium Bibi) told her son, Child! Do not let yourself be influenced by this evilidea. The same Allah abides in Hindus. Mussalmans too have the same Rama abiding inthem. Ishwar and Allah are both Your names. May good sense prevail upon all, O Lord.

Due to the noble teachings of Bakhtu Bibi, her son Farid went on to become Baba Farid.I have respect and goodwill for Bakhtu Bibi and Baba Farid even now. Mahatma Gandhiwatched a play on the life of King Harishchandra and resolved that he would never lie andwould work for the welfare of others. The divine ideas of Self-knowledge imparted by SageSanaka and his brothers inspired Narada to compose Srimad Bhagawata. Sri Shukadevarelated the Bhagawata to King Parikshit for his Supreme good. His ideas have benefitedcrores of people. Abduls evil thoughts brought ruin while the teachings of Shukadeva andVyasa brought good to crores of people. Sant Tulsidasas noble thoughts have blessed crores

of people with peace and bliss through the nectar of Ramayana. Ramananda Sagars nobleidea helped us view the Ramayana sitting at home. Thoughts play a very important role. Wesee only vices in one whom we hate and virtues in the one whom we love; but we see God inthe object of our faith. Namdeva saw God even in a ghost. What kind of a mentality is it,which cannot behold God even in a Guru?

Abdul Latifs evil idea of creating Pakistan is a burning problem even today. Hencethose who come up with evil ideas cause trouble for themselves as well as for others. Thosewho sowed the seeds of dissension are dead and gone, but the society continues to betormented and terrorized as a consequence of their evil designs. From the same lightemanated the entire universe, whom then shall I call good, whom bad?

All have emanated from the One Consciousness Absolute Lord. God knows what hellthe instigators go to but ultimately it is the people that are exploited. Those who spread nobleideas attain God and the people too are benefited by them.

Satsang (association with the wise) is where one gets noble ideas and that which spreadsevil ideas is called Kusang (bad company). A considerate person seeks satsang. He lovesand enjoys the company of saints. Eklavya was a considerate man. He excelled in archery byconcentrating on his Gurus image! Dhruva had discriminative insight and became great inthe company of Narada. Mirabai had discriminative insight and she could assimilate the graceof her Guru Ravidas.

Deceit, fraud and trickery make one evil-minded and lead to ruin. One who is free fromthese three vices will become a saint. Other than God, what is there in this world that willstay with us forever? Look with the eye of reflection. Why should we be deceitful? Whyshould we sin? Why should we cast allegations on anybody? All live according to their fate

and natural disposition. May good be to all such goodwill brings happiness. Those with acaviling attitude kill themselves with their own thoughts. Do not be pessimistic. Nurture suchelevating thoughts as would intensify your hunger for God.

Evil thoughts bring ruin. Thoughts of pessimism, hatred, fighting and instigating othersto fight lead to depreciation. Pessimistic thoughts lead to despondency, and wretchedness. Apessimist person himself breaks down; an optimist person automatically gets elevated within.May the wicked become noble and the noble attain peace. May the peaceful becomeliberated souls. May the liberated ones, the Self-realized saints, out of compassion come andlive among the worldly people to elevate them, lest they should be degenerated to the state ofanimals. Everyone worships God according to his or her own fancy. People toil throughouttheir life, become old and then die a miserable death. So, who has trampled on sorrows to

become great? - Deliberate thus, and seek refuge in such a liberated Guru. Be loyal to Him.Loyalty will come though righteous thought. Disloyalty comes through lack of inquiry.Hatred comes through lack of discrimination; equanimity comes through enquiry.

Vasishthaji says in the Sri Yogavasishtha, O Rama! The Jiva, by virtue of self-enquiryattains to the eternal, pure, and infinite state of Supreme Bliss. Having once attained that onedoesnt feel like renouncing it. With the attainment of Self-enquiry, the illusion called theworld is dispelled. It is better to be a frog in mud or an insect in excreta or a serpent in a darkcave than to be a man without enquiry. An ignorant person, lost and corrupted by lack ofenquiry grieves and troubles himself or herself by quarelling, slandering and talkingnonsense. A person afflicted by a terrible disease and calamities does not grieve like this.

Vasishtaji says, One who hankers indiscriminately after pleasures is a dog. How dogsbark without sense! No sooner does one dog bark than the other too follows suit and then twoto three groups keep barking throughout the night for no reason at all. To act motivated byattachment and hatred, to embellish the ego is the mark of one without enquiry. To seek away for dissolving our ego in God is the right enquiry.

Reflect, Who am I? What is this world? Who experiences sorrow and happiness? Whatis the cause of transmigration and how can I transcend it? God is my Real Self, yet I have notattained Him. How can I attain God? One should stick to such lofty thoughts and live life

accordingly. The wretched stick to wretched thoughts and live life accordingly but theelevated ones take up some lofty thought and then become thoughtless. They do not giveimportance to it!

The loftiest of all lofty thoughts is that of attaining God. There is no idea loftier thanthat. One should aim to attain God and practice the sadhana according to his or her capability.Practicing the sadhana according to ones capability leads one to the Supreme goal of Self-realization, but how will we know our capability? The Lord says that for this we shouldapproach the enlightened ones.

Live Such a Life(Incarnation Day of Param Pujya Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu: 15th April)

(Excerpts from the satsang of Pujya Bapuji)AdVa{V B{V AdVma...An Incarnation of God descends from His higher state on the earth to

reinstate order. Whenever and whichever change is the need of the hour, the Absolute and theFormless manifests there in the form of Ramavatar, Krishanavatar, as a Saint or just operatesthrough the mind of a Saint and establishes the necessary order.

The special mission of Ramavatar is the establishment of dharma. Bestowing the blessings of devotion and love is the special mission of Krishnavatar. The avatar ofShukadevji Maharaj is considered the Samadhi avatar, one who gives repose in the tranquilSupreme Atman and can liberate the devotee by His precepts. The avatar of Narada, thecelestial sage, is considered the incarnation of love, who bestows the blessing of the divinelove frequenting from place to place. The incarnation of Dattatreya Maharaj is considered theAvadhoot avatar and that of Sanatkumar and others is considered the Avatar ofBrahmacharya.

    The Lord says:n[amUm` gmYyZm {dZmem` M XwH$Vm_ &

Y_gWmnZmWm g^dm{_ w Jo wJo &&For the protection of the good, for the destruction of the wicked and for the

establishment of righteousness, I am born in every age. (Gita: 4.8)The Lord has the power to incarnate anytime, anywhere and for any purpose. Is He a

God, who does not come to rescue His devotee on hearing his cry for help? How can He be aBeloved if He does not incarnate Himself to accept a devotees love? What kind of a Creatorwould He be if He did not act upon the needs of His creation?

Sometimes the idols drink milk, sometimes we receive inspiration from the idols and attimes when we visit the temple, a flower or a garland drops down these suggest thegreatness of the Archana (worship) avatar. In the similar way, there are many Amsa-Avataras (partial incarnations), Avesha Avataras (inspirational incarnations), Prerana avatars,

Nitya Avatar (eternal incarnations) and Naimittik avatars (Occasional incarnations). Thesaints are considered the Nitya avataras. On this earth at all times, the saints have appeared atsome place or the other. God reveals Himself in their hearts and through them disseminatesthe true knowledge and true bliss. Sant Tukaram Maharaj, Nanakadev, Kabir, Lilashahji andother saints are considered to be such incarnations of God.

The Lord says:O_ H$_ M _o {X ... My birth and actions are divine. One who knows Me in

this light makes his birth and actions divine. So how should we get benefited? The birth ofthe visible body is not our birth. Its actions are not our actions. Believing thus, the

attachments, aversions and actions inspired by desires will gradually diminish. Carrying outactions inspired by the Satguru and scriptures will gradually reveal in us bliss, equanimity, peace and our divine nature. The intellect will get blessed with divine grace. If this divinelyblessed intellect seeks to delve deeper, it then evolves into Truth Consciousness, spiritualisedintellect, transforming the individual into a Brahmajnani (Knower of the Brahman). Youshould dive into that great Essence in the morning, afternoon and evening and you willbecome a great soul. This is the only objective of human life.

Celebration of the birth anniversaries of saints and great men and the incarnation days ofthe Lord like Ramanavami, Krishna-janamashtami etc helps us, the human society. It helps inour own spiritual and material progress. I do not celebrate my birthday for myself, but only togive you a message of how to celebrate birthdays without cutting cakes. My birthdaybecomes instrumental in distribution of notebooks, with inspiring quotes printed on them, tolakhs of school students. On this occasion, in more than seventeen thousand Bal SamskarKendras all over India, prasad (blessed food) is served, bhajan and kirtans are organized andgood samskaras (values) are inculcated in the children. More than twelve hundred samitiscelebrate this occasion by conducting charitable activities.

The only message of Incarnation Day is that you get repose in the Supreme Self by doingworks For the good of the many, as well as for the happiness of the many. Repose graduallyin the Bliss Absolute while eradicating the desire for external pleasures. Time is flying past. The age of moral downfall is advancing rapidly. Those who want to elevate themselves maybetter waste no time in doing so.

In the olden days, child marriage was a prevalent custom. A village headman arrangedfor the child marriage of his son. The marriage ceremony had just begun when there was the

sound of a drum (being played) for a monkey dance-show.The child bridegroom stood up and said: Father, father! I am going out to see the

show. The father said: Oh boy! You need to complete the circumambulation ceremony now.The bridegroom said: You do it for me. I am going to watch the dance of the monkeys.

And he ran towards the monkey show(Read full article in Rishi Prasad magazine).

The King of kings: Swami Lilashah!

(On the occasion of Manifestation Day of Swami Sri Sri Lilashahji Maharaj-22nd

    March)

To the great men who dwell in the soul, who have transcended the three gunas and aredispassionate, the ashta-siddhis and nav-nidhis and the wealth ofKubera too is worthnothing. Their gestures are natural, innate and acts of joy. The life of His Holiness Swami SriSri Lilashahji Maharaj is a living example of the message ofVedanta. This is proved by theincidents that occurred in His life. Swamiji was in Nainital at that time. He used to go for astroll daily at around 6 in the morning and would return by 8 am. Once, a millionaire from

Gandhidham, by the name Tolani, came to Nainital to have darshan ofSantsri. This wealthyperson had many institutes for social welfare and college run in his name. He came to theashram and expressed his wish to have darshan of Swami Lilashahji Maharaj. Asadhakfromthe ashram apprised him of Guruji s daily routine of morning walk. On that day Santsri hadstarted earlier in the morning and it was expected that He might return soon. Tolani keptstanding till 8-8:30, 9-9:30 amwaiting for the darshan. Ultimately at around 10 am,Santshree could be seen coming from a distance. Pujya Gurudev was arriving in a pleasantmood, with one hand supporting a bundle of wood of acacia and cactus placed on the head

and carrying a pitcher in the other. Swamijis personal sevak got perplexed at this sight. He ran towards Guruji and said: Master! What are you doing? A wealthy person,

Tolani, has been waiting to meet you for long and you have taken so much time today?Santsri replied: So what if he has come. Let him wait.Sevak: Please leave all this.Santsri softly said: Why should I? I found all this dry wood there. It will be useful in

cooking, so I stayed back to pick them up.Sevak: Your Holiness! A rich person like Tolani has come for your darshan and you

are carrying this bundle on your head for the sake of some cheap fuel woodhow will thisappear to him?

Santsri replied When did I call him? Ask him to go away. I will come at my leisure.

If a rich person had come to meet any worldly person, he would have given him a grandwelcome and honoured him. He would have flattered him. He would have made efforts to please him and then used this connection for his own benefit. However, before the self-realized saints - poor and rich, ignorant and learned - all are equal. For such a great souls, thescriptures say:

Rather than the company of men, solitude, modesty and simplicity appeal to such amahtm. Prosperity and vast kingdoms neither attract him nor give the kind of delight asthese.

Free of desire, free of anxiety,

    the mind carefree

    He who wants nothing,

    Merits and Demerits of Speech

In what manner should we use our faculty of speech and what should we take care toavoid when speaking? It is important to have this knowledge, to assimilate it in life and tomould our behaviour accordingly. Truthfulness, firmness, sweetness, succinctness, kindness, modesty and courteousness these are the seven merits of good speech. Harshness, slander, falseness, vulgarity, futileness and arrogance these six are the demerits of speech.

    The Ramayana in Spiritual Perspective

(On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami: 3rd April 2009)

(Excerpts from the satsang of Pujya Bapuji)

The life of an individual or society, city, state or nation from which Mother Sita, representing the knowledge of the Brahman, departs, is left in a state of degeneration. Whatcomes to them then is suffering, anxiety, obstacles, sorrow, dejection and troubles. When SriRama resolves to bring back Mother Sita, symbolizing the knowledge of the Brahman, the naturebecomes favorable to him. Winds start blowing in favorable direction and even the rocks float onwater losing weight for the construction of the bridge Setubandh Rameshwar. The restlessmonkeys also get disciplined and develop military skills to fight a war. Here is an example of thewonderful arrangement that nature makes to assist the seeker at every step he takes towardsMother Sita, the giver of the knowledge of the Supreme Self. Not only educated and uneducated,

bear and monkeys, even the little squirrels make their fortune becoming ally to Sri Rama, whoresolves to bring back the knowledge of the Brahman. O man! You too bring into your life thisknowledge of the Supreme, that enables you behold One in all and all in One, and liberates you.

When Mother Sita, representing the Knowledge of the Brahman, the consort of Sri Rama, the Atman, returns to Ayodhya, only then is the rule of Sri Rama, established in Ayodhya. Thehuman body represents Ayodhya. In this body with nine gates, the jiva (individual soul) engagedin the ten organs (of cognition and action) is none other than Dashratha. He has three queens Kaushalya, representing the Sattvic Vritti (the mode of purity); Sumitra, representing the RajasicVritti (the mode of activity) and Kaikeyi, representing the Tamasic Vritti (the mode of inertia).Thejiva indulging in the pleasures of ten organs wants to get the nectar of the Atman. Dashratha(jiva) wants the accession of Sri Rama (the Atman) to establish the kingdom of God in Ayodhya,

but gets beguiled by Kaikeyi (Tamasic Vritti). Instead of bequeathing the kingdom to Sri Rama,he sends him to the forest. When Sri Rama leaves for dwelling in the forest, Dashratha (the jivadwelling in the ten organs) enters a miserable state. It writhes in pain and dies, continuing thecycle of birth and death. Until the kingdom of Sri Rama does not get established in this Ayodhya, representing the human body, till then there is no trace of contentment, peace or bliss. The nectarkeeps eluding thejiva.

Therefore, you should resolve to seek the knowledge of the Atman and the nature willbecome favorable to you. TheAdvaita jnana, knowledge of non-dual reality brings an end to allmisery. If you practice this knowledge, then aversion, guilt, all kinds of fear, sorrow, delusion andobstacles will go away. Those who have translated the Advaitajnana in their lives, findhappiness, peace, cheerfulness, joy and success in their lives. The nature supports them at everystep. On the other hand those who ignore the Advaita jnana, identify themselves only with the

body, cling on to the things that are of use only for the mortal body, nature puts them in thecategory of the likes of Kansa, Ravana, Hitler and Alexander and teaches them a lesson. Eventhrough troubles, nature teaches them the lessons of Advaita. Ravana, who was one suchegomaniac, is burnt every year, whereas on every Rama Navami we sing the prayer to LordRamachandra

    Sing about that merciful Ramachandra,

For driving away the fears of a miserable life.

Those who translate the knowledge of Brahman in their lives, become like Sri Rama, theBrahman personified. They may have different names - Kabirji, Mahavirji, Lilashahji, Nanakji but they are worshipped like Sri Rama. Those who have taken refuge in the knowledge of theBrahman, they have become venerable. Where there is Dvaita (dualism), there is fear, aversion,

    7/21

conflict, misery, poverty, sorrow, cycle of birth and death, old age and sickness. On the otherhand, where there isAdvaita jnana, where Mother Sita returns to Ayodhya along with Sri Rama, there is festivity all around. Lamps are lit, sweets distributed and everyone is happy in Rama

Rajya, the rule of Sri Rama. Let there be Rama Rajya in your heart, this is the message of SriRama Navami !

Rama Navami is the incarnation day of the greatest benefactor of all beings, Lord Rama, who sees virtues even in his enemies, whom His archrival Ravana could not resist praising in hislast moments. Only he can know the true form of Sri Rama, upon whom He showers his grace.

The common grace of the Lord is there upon everyone, but let your karma and your longing besuch that you receive His special grace. That Lord Rama is the substratum of our hearts. As wateris the substratum of each and every wave, so is the Lord of hearts the substratum of each andevery heart. Pray to Him O Lord! Help me arouse the longing for You. In this way, you willnot have to wait for a year for the occasion of Rama Navami, but whenever you dive within, youwill experience the bliss of Rama Navami, of the manifestation of the form of Sri Rama. Therefore, resort to the knowledge of the Brahman, the mother Sita. This is not being imposed onyou, but in every law of nature thisAdvaita reality only is in play.

One form of Sri Rama abides in every heart (individual soul), the second plays in King

    Dashrathas home (incarnation of Rama),

Third form is manifested in the whole creation (Cosmic consciousness), but the

Transcendent Rama is Brahman (Absolute Consciousness).

The Secret of Success(Continued from the previous issue)

The more we try by using external means to control others, to pressurize them andbecome successful, the more we fail. To the extent we interact with others on the behalf ofGod within, to that extent we succeed naturally and our lifes journey progresses withoutobstacles.

Till we ascribe importance to materialistic things and are attached to them, we cannot gettotal joy out of surrendering to God. This happened because of this reason That happened because of that reason. - till this flawed thinking continues, we cannot get the joy ofsurrendering to God. When you become one with the Indwelling Lord, the cause of allcauses, it is then that circumstances begin to favour you. When you break the connectionwith the Consciousness within, circumstances oppose you. Hence, do not allow the influenceof external cause and effect affect your intellect. All the laws of cause and effect work inmy, the Cosmic Delusion, which works under the control of God. You unite with the powerof Godliness. The rest will be looked after.

The judge is going to decide the verdict for you. He is pondering about whether youshould be hanged or whether you deserve really severe punishment. If at that time also, you surrender completely to God then the judge cannot but pass a verdict, which will turnout to be extremely good for you in the future.- (Read full article in Rishi Prasad magazine).

convention) was organised in Mumbais huge Somaiyya ground by the Manch. Theconvention was attended by religious leaders of various sects from all parts of the country, prominent saints, heads of various religious Akhadas, and Shankaracharyas. It was perhapsthe first time in the religious history of this country that various branches of Indian cultureincluding all the different sects of Hinduism, all Akhadas, Jains and Buddhists were presenton a common platform. World renowned Param Pujya Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu wasunanimously elected as chairman of the convention. All the saints and heads of organisationsexpressed their affection and confidence in Pujya Bapuji. As soon as it was announced that

Pujya Bapuji would preside over the convention, lakhs of attentive listeners present in thepandal greeted it with tumultuous applause and expressed their heartfelt joy.

In the convention, all the saints expressed their views on important issues concerningsafeguarding of Indian culture, religious awakening and national interest.

Mahamandaleshwar Hansdasji Maharaj, General Secretary Sant Samiti, the

convenor of the convention: All the saints of India, who have joined under the banner ofDharma Raksha Manch have deeply reflected and deliberated over the issues in these twodays 27th and 28th January 2009. They discussed on eleven points and it has been decided toconduct Dharma Raksha Sankalpa Yatras. Such Yatras will be taken out at more than 7000places in every nook and corner of the country.

Welcoming the president of the convention, Param Pujya Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu and

the saints, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Devendranandji said:You are the ones who have been changing the destiny of India!

You are the ones who have been

    changing the destiny of man!

This is the country of Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu,

    valiant men and saints of

    Dharma Raksha Manch.

    You are the uncrowned King without a kingdom;

yet you are the pride and crest jewel of all saints!

There are many and many there will be,

but you are the most precious diamond, Kohinoor of India.

Sadhvi Ritambhara said: I pay obeisances to supremely revered Sant Sri AsaramjiBapu, the President of the pious Sankalpa Sabha for the setting up of Dharma Raksha

Manch who has spread the fragrance of Bhakti not only in India but throughout the

world. My obeisances at the feet of the head of the Akhd Parishad Pujya Swami

Gyandasji Maharaj and my revered Gurudev Yugpursh Swami Parmanandji Maharaj. The saints who have been distributing Prasad and dispensing affection, love and

    compassion have gathered here today.

There is a definite reason to it and a serious one at that. When any limb of the bodydevelops necrosis, it has to be removed with the help of surgery. When the nation is in thestate of slumber, it has to be awakened by vigorous shaking. When emperors are engrossed inthe royal pleasures of their palaces, a Vishwamitra has to ask for the youth of princes Ramaand Lakshmana. Revered saints of the same ilk are before us today.

We are talking of conversion. We know very well what others are doing; they are doingbusiness in the name of rendering service. But what are we doing? The large section of oursociety is the victim of negligence. There are so many people in my country who cannot evenfulfil their primary needs of food, clothing and medical care. Therefore, arise O Hindus! Ifeach rich one will care for each poor destitute, the Missionaries will go away from our nationof their own. Their deceptive and fraudulent practices are based on poverty and want. Onething I want to tell you:

    When the members of

    parliament will be wearing saffron,

Today the Divya Prerna Prakash is released which contains thoughts of Bapuji. Goodliterature will inculcate good traits in the youth.

Jain Muni Vimalsagarji: I am a Muni (sage) of Jain Dharma but I am very much a partof Indian culture. This ideology of union should be taken forward. Our piety, our strength, our ethnic samskaras, our ideals should be preserved. Efforts for this will have to be made notonly by saints but by all the people. If you fall asleep, you are gone.

The breed of our educational institutions today is mostly dominated by Christian spirit. When I see our youth, I find them bereft of all faith and reverence for religion. Therefore,

awakening the youth should be our top priority.Mahant Shri Gyandasji Maharaj, President of All India Akhada Parishad, Chief

Convenor Dharma Raksha Manch: There are two grave troubles before us today one isexternal terrorism and the other is internal terrorism. The external terrorists are hurlingbullets on you from the front but what is being done internally in a concealed way is at least ahundred thousand times more pernicious the Christians are converting Hindus into theirreligion. Take a resolve to root out this internal terrorism of religious conversions from thiscountry.

Mahant Harigiriji Maharaj, General Secretary Akhada Parishad: Instead ofdistorting facts, the media should work in a pure and sincere manner. Today, some elementsin the media are seen to be overly selfish. On various occasions it was found that instead of

reporting facts, the media tried to mislead people. Media should not become puppets in thehands of foreign agencies and maintain impartiality and not be a tool in the hands of foreignpowers.

Dr. Shri Ramvilas Vedantiji Maharaj, Ayodhya: Supremely revered icon of Indianculture and sadhana, the protector of Dharma, the Chairman of this Sankalpa Sabha, SantShri Asaramji Bapu! Supremely revered President of Ramajanbhumi Trust, Mahant ShriNrityagopaldasji Maharaj and other revered religious leaders!

Today, I want to say that those, who speak sacrilegiously about Lord Rama, about thenation or about Hindus, should not be allowed to live in this country by law. When theHindus of this country rise above parochial boundaries and stand united, no power on earthcan defeat India.

Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji Maharaj, President, Parmartha Niketan Rishikesh:A time has come when the people of India with effective use of its power of ballot vote for aspiritualnot secular state. There should be a spiritual Government; there should be a spiritual India.

Shri Pravinbhai Togadia, Intern-ational General Secretary, VHP : A Hindu cannever be a terrorist but lion amongst men like Lord Rama do come on this pious land to killterrorists like Ravana. Hindu can never be an Aurangzeb but Hindu women like Jijabai dogive birth to lions like Chhatrapati Shivaji to bury the Aurangzebs in their graves. We canand will protect our religion.

Mahant Shri Nrityagopaldasji Maharaj, President of Ramajanbhumi Trust :gKo

e{V H${b`wJo & Unity is strength in Kaliyuga. We resolve that all Indians should be united and

should show solidarity. Let us work for protecting the nation and the Dharma. VERSE Onewho protects Dharma is protected by Dharma. It is the earnest desire of all of us here thatRamarajya (the rule of the pure like Lord Rama) should be restored and India should berecognised as a Hindu nation.

Dr. Shri Ramakamaldasji Vedanti, Kashi: This country has been spirituallydominated since time immemorial, is spiritually dominated now and will forever be so.Therefore some wise man has said, Politics without Dharma is like a widow. In thiscountry, politics can be successful only if accompanied by Dharma.

Swami Shri Parmatmanandji Maharaj, General Secretary Acharya Sabha: I say onthe basis of records of US, Home Deptt., that India is the country that has lost maximum

number of lives, maximum number of man hours and the maximum amount of property onaccount of terrorism. And it is a measure of our pathetic state that in spite of all this pain andsuffering our political leadership has failed to enact stringent laws against terrorism. Ourpolitical leadership simply lacks the willpower to confront terrorism.

Mahamandaleshwar Yugpurush Swami Parmanandji Maharaj (the Guru of

    Sadhvi Ritambharaji): The ninth Guru Tegbahadur taught spirituality, meditation, Samadhiand Bhakti all through His life and the result was that he had to embrace martyrdom. ThenHis son Guru Gobind Singh had to organise the Khalsa warriors. Dharma does a great job;

spirituality does a great job; they take life to great heights; but there are people who donthesitate to kill the Masters; to tackle them we need Guru Gobind Singhji; we need LordRama. Yudhishthir is steadfast on Dharma; he doesnt want to speak untruth and the evilforces gain ascendance. Then Lord Krishna has to prevail on Yudhishthir and to get himspeak the untruth and the Lord hides the Sun to turn the tide of the battle in Pandavas favour. What I mean to say is that when you have to deal with evil men, you may have to dosomething improper to set them right. The same thing I say to you. We are not unethical; butto stick to rules and propriety, to judicial redress when the evil-doers are throwing allpropriety and rules to winds is not appropriate. Practice of Dharma is for protecting Dharma;not for enemies of Dharma. They deserve to be paid back in their own coin.

Swami Chinmayanandji Maharaj, Parmadhyaksha Parmarth Ashram, Haridwar

and former Minister of State for Home: I exhort all of you and all religious institutions, religious platforms and people with religious thinking that we must now have a constitutionwith self-respect; we must have a spiritual constitution. We dont want a secular constitution. Therefore, through you, I want to tell the parliament of this country to replace the wordsecular by the word spiritual and to declare India a spiritual State. The day India becomesa spiritual State, she will be invincible, sovereign, independent and unstoppable.

Mahant Shri Rameshwardasji Maharaj Rishikesh: Lord Rama built the Ramasetuand Rameshwaram and integrated the three main schools of Vaishnavism, Shaivism andShaktaism. But today the existence of the Ramasetu and of Lord Rama Himself is beingdenied. But nobody should be so much intoxicated with the heady wine of power andarrogance as to treat the devotees of the Lord as powerless.

Swami Krishnamaniji Maharaj, Krishnapranami Sampradaya: Just 1500 years ago, there was no Muslim in the world and 2100 years ago, there was no Christian in the world. So who lived in the world thousands of years ago? All were adherents of Sanatan Dharma; allwere Hindus. And those who were converted to other religions during these years may comeback sooner or later. This culture, this Sanatan Dharma never changed. It has been there forages and will continue to be there. Let us take a resolve through the Dharma Raksha Manchthat all of us will get united and will stay united. All the tasks will then automatically beaccomplished.

Swami Gangadharendra Saraswatiji, Jagadguru Shankaracharya, Swarnmalli

Math Karnataka: A large number of Muslim brethren live with us in India. All theseMuslims were Hindus some a few years ago and others long ago. They have changed theirfaith, have been converted to or for some reason have become Muslims. Therefore, we wantthat they should come back to their parent religion; our doors are open for them. If they dontwant to come, let them accept Uniform Civil Code.

Mahamandaleshwar Hansdasji Maharaj: Religious conversion is a big problem in thecountry. On one hand, the Muslims are spreading terror and on the other, Christians aretrying to convert Hindus. Oh my! The God who himself is crucified, how will he protect you?In our country, Lord Krishna comes to kill Kansa; Lord Rama comes to kill Ravana. All theincarnations of God in our country are to destroy vile men.

In this manner, all the saints provided guidance to the audience in their lustrous andvibrant style and filled them with the spirit of protecting Dharma.

Presidential addressWorld-renowned Param Pujya Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu, President of Dharma

Raksha Manch-Sankalpa Sabha: Mahant Shri Jnanadasji Maharaj, President All IndiaAkhada Parishad! Doing true and real service like a Sadhu even without wearing the saintlyrobe, Shri Ashok Singhalji, Shri Togadiaji- the present day Hanumanji, Shri HansdasjiMaharaj! And numerous saints and other respectable men from Akhada Parishad and otherorganisations who have come to this commercial city, moved by the agony of the terrorized

people, befitting the Rishi Parampara!Buddha once asked his disciples, What is the densest (strongest) thing in the world? One disciple said, Stone. The other said, Iron. The third named another such

substance.Buddha said, No, make no mistake. The densest and the strongest thing is will. It can

crush stone; it can make iron melt; it can change any circumstance. Many saints have come to this Sankalpa Sabha to awaken us to the dangers of external

terror, internal terror and our habit of credulousness. By appointing me as the president of theSankalpa Sabha these saints have exhibited their own gentleness. So far as I am concerned, Iam a servant of saints. I pay obeisances to saints and I pay obeisances to darling devotees ofsaints!

Some people in India are distressed; we should care for them. Of course, temples shouldbe constructed but if you go to poverty-stricken areas, you will be moved by the pathetic stateof people living there; therefore some huts too should be constructed for them. Not onlyshould their housing needs be met, we should take care of their health also by making somehealth centres. Some clothes too should be provided to them and, I have always been sayingin satsang that, in the days of Diwali, when you celebrate Diwali, you should go to poorpeople living in your neighbourhood and give some new clothes, sweets and crackers to theirchildren and above all you should show affection to them.

Industry, courage, patience, wisdom, strength and valour whichever man or societycultivates these overpowers the prevailing circumstances. I tell this story quite often. KingKumar Gupta had a fourteen-year-old son, Skanda Gupta. Some Huns from the north-west

invaded the Magadh state and unleashed terror over people. The fourteen-year-old boy said,Father! Please order me to crush them.

The father said, My son! You are still a child; I can see you are quite immature.Father! One who has industry, courage, patience, wisdom, strength and valour tramples

the unfavourable circumstances and achieves his goal.In view of the courage and enthusiasm of his son, the king provided him with the

necessary military forces and Skanda Gupta began his march, blowing his trumpet on theway. Wherever he halted for the night, he would breathe courage and determination into hismen. He crossed Punjab and attacked the state of Huns. The fourteen-year-old boy conqueredthe province and hoisted the flag of Magadh over there. You are much more advanced in ageand wisdom. Why dont you make a resolve? This is the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji. Make a

    resolve and aim at reaching the pinnacle of Indian culture.Let not your goal be overlooked;

    march forward.

    If not today, tomorrow,

success will certainly be at your feet. The goal Dharma Raksha Manch has set for itself and the principles on which it is

founded are very fine and beautiful. It is not limited to the interests of any particular sect orcommunity; it aims at the good of the whole of mankind. There is no ours and theirs.

After my speech at the Parliament of World Religions, I was surrounded by the mediaand they asked me questions. They said, Mr. Asaramji! Lord Jesus is great; Lord Rama isnothing. He cries for his lost wife. Lord Krishna is nothing. The great God is Jesus Christ.

I said, Listen to me. You have teased a sleeping lion and roused him. Before He wasone-day-old, Lord Krishna calmed the surging waters of River Yamuna by merely touch ofHis foot. When He was six-day-old, Putna came with poison on her breasts. He suckled thepoison, the milk from her breasts and the very life from her body. He is immortal Himselfand bestows immortality even to the evil Putna sending her to His own abode. By the age of

seventeen, many demons came to him, he killed them all playfully even without wielding anyweapon. Who is great such Lord Krishna or your Jesus who was helplessly crucified in thepresence of Roman governor, Pilate you judge.

They were only three Lord Rama, Sitaji and Lakshmana. Shoorpanakha came and didall coquettish nonsense. Then Ravana fought them with all his forces. In the end, Ravana diedand while dying he said, I bow at the feet of Shri Rama! I said to them, You should have atleast sense equal to that of the demon, Ravana who recognised the glory of Lord Rama tosome extent. Lord Rama is nothing?

What do you think? Lord Ramas name is so powerful that Ravanas brother,Kumbhkarna said to him, You go to Sita assuming the form of Rama. Sita will touch youbelieving you to be her husband. This will diminish Ramas power and strength. Ravana

said, I tried this. But to assume Ramas form, I have to meditate on the form of Rama and assoon as I do that, even my wife appears like a sister to me.

Meditating on Lord Rama and remembering His name sublimates Ravanas lust intodethat the land of beloved devotees of such Lord Rama is subjected to religious conversionby deceitful means in the guise of financial help or social service or imparting education andthe conspiracies are hatched to cause communal conflicts and to malign saints! I haddeclared, If Sadhvi Prajna is persecuted any more, I will sit on the street in protest as I didwhen Jayendra Saraswati was persecuted. At that time I had said that those who hadpersecuted Jayendra Saraswatiji would be punished by nature. Jayendra Saraswati was soonfreed. But if you know the fate of his oppressors, you will be surprised.

Some people say, Injustice is going on. Everything is just and proper in Godskingdom. Life has been going on for centuries. Had there been injustice, would it havesurvived? Who inspired these saints? Tell me, who inspired them? Who inspired Ashokjisheart or that of other saints? Who has awakened the hearts of saints who are in the successionof Veda Vyasji?

The time has come. The Dharma Raksha Manch will go from village to village. For onemonth, the planned Yatras will go on but even afterwards, the proponents of Indian culturewill continue to give the clarion call in their respective areas. Collect children from yourneighbourhood and run Baal Samskar Kendras. Relate to them the tales of brave sons ofMother India, the japa of . and the glory of Lords name and of meditation. The syllableRa in Rama activates the solar element and the ma therein activateds the lunar element. With japa of Lord Ramas name many ailments are cured and spiritual powers are developed. These saints have taken the trouble of coming here and so have you. Do you know who willreward you for that? Lord Krishna says,H$nUm \$bhoVd & Wretched are they whose motive isthe fruit (of action). One who wants fruit in the form of transient objects, though beingeternal himself, is wretched. Dont desire for transient fruit. Develop awareness to awakenthe eternal essence and inspire others to do the same. Tell your children to meditate on . atthe centre of eyebrows, which generates 70,000 Bovis of bio electric energy as recorded byFrench and Japanese scientists. Women should wear anklets. Dont admit your children to theschools run by those engaged in conversions, who object to girls wearing anklets and beatthem up for doing so. Open your own schools and colleges by a joint effort and present your

Many questions were asked of me in the Parliament of World Religions. In those days,Memon brothers had plotted serial bomb blasts in Mumbai. I said, People from theneighbouring country live in our country, feed themselves on the food and water of thiscountry and then do such things. But any true Indian who believes in the Gita, Ramayana,Srimad Bhagwat or Guru Granth Sahib, who chants Hari . or the name ofLord Rama suchIndians are living in many countries of the world prove if any such Indian has done anyterrorist act. I take the responsibility thereof. Hindu is not a terrorist but if you harass him, theHindu knows how to deal with it:

    a slander against anybody;

    May we never be jealous,

even in dream, of anybody.Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law and Hindus in general should not

God manifest Himself as personal One. Such culture is in India and only in India. No whereelse in the world, it is to be found. In other cultures, God that is without form and attributesends a his son or a prophet. It is only in Indian culture that God Himself comes and man canmake Him his son, friend and even disciple. Man can make God even the disciple of hisdisciple. Such is the glory of Indian culture.

    Curious Context

Hanumanji too had Lifted the Govardhan!(Sri Hanuman Jayanti: 9th April)

The construction of a bridge over the sea for attacking Lanka was in full swing.

Innumerable monkeys hailed Lord Rama as they carried on their work. Hanumanji

flew here and there to collect huge mountains for constructing the Sri Ramasetu. As all

the southern mountains were already used for the bridge, he flew to the North and

reached near the Himalayas, where he saw the 14 mile long vast peak of Dronachal. The

son of wind tried to lift it but was surprised to find that the mountain did not budge

even an inch. Hanumanji went into meditation and found out the history of the

mountain. He came to know that it was Govardhan, a great devotee of the Lord, who

had come to the earth from Goloka when the gods had come to the earth during the

incarnation of Lord Rama to behold His divine play and lend their assistance in it.

Hanumanji paid obeisances at the feet of the glorious Govardhan with utmost reverance

and spoke humbly, O the most pious king of mountains! I want to take you to the

Lords feet. Why dont you come along? There you will behold the holy form of the

Lord; who will place His lotus feet upon you to cross the sea and reach Lanka.

Govardhan was overjoyed and said, O son of wind! Kindly take me to the Lord without

delay. Now Hanumanji lifted the mountain with utter ease. Govardhan seemed to be light as

flower in Hanumanjis left hand. On the other side, Sri Rama was thinking, Govardhan is astaunch devotee of my manifestation in Goloka as Murli Manohar Sri Krishna. If here heinsists to behold me in that form, I will have to transgress the limits of propriety. What is tobe done?

The Lord was lost in thought when on that fifth day, the construction work of the strongand vast 200 mile long and 20 mile wide bride reached its completion. Immediately, LordRama ordered, With the construction of the bridge being completed, now there is no needfor mountains and trees. Let everybody leave whatever mountain or tree he has in hand, wherever he is, and come to me immediately.

The monkeys sped in all directions and spread Lord Ramas message everywhere.Everyone dropped whatever mountain or tree he had, wherever he was, and ran towards theLord. The same mountains which were abandoned by the valiant monkeys stand in the southtoday as the southern mountains were already used for the bridge. Hanumanji had hardlyreached Vrajdhara carrying the supremely glorious Govardhan in his hand, when he heard theLords command. He left Govardhan right there, though he remembered his promise. Justthen he saw Govardhan looking at him sadly with eyes full of expectation. Hanumanji said,Do not worry, my Lord will surely safeguard my promise. And he flew towards the Lord.

Hanumanji reached Lord Rama. When the omniscient Rama inquired about him he said,Lord! I promised to help Govardhan have your darshan and touch your holy feet when I

heard your command I placed him down in Vrajbhoomi. He was utterly disappointed. I havealso reassured him that I will fulfill my promise.

Lord Rama, who has motherly love for His devotees, said, Dear Hanuman! Your wordis my word. Govardhan will surely attain Me but he is fond of my manifestation as wearingthe peacock feather crown and holding the flute in my hand. Therefore, tell him that when Iincarnate myself in the Dvapar Yuga in Vrajdhara in the form of Murlimanohar, which isdear to him; not only will he have my darshan, I too will play over him while using his thingsincluding fruits, flowers, grass etc. along with the children of Vraj. Not only this, I will alsokeep holding him unceasingly for seven days on my finger.

Hanumanji came to Govardhan and told him, O king of mountains! You are blessed! The Lord, who is subservient to His devotees has promised to fulfill your wish. He then

explained the Lords promise to him.The king of mountains was overjoyed. With eyes filled with tears of love, he expressed hisgratitude to Hanumanji, the devotee of Lord Rama, O son of Anjani! I am not in a position

to give anything in exchange for this great favour you have done to me. I will be ever gratefulto you.

Health and NatureNatures Priceless Gift : Sunlight Therapy

The human body is natures best creation and nature has devised a plan to keep it healthy. The foundation stone of this natural plan is the sun. The suns rays destroy all diseases andprovide positive health.

    Am^m[af {dd^ofOr_`mQ>mZ {Z e_`V &

The suns rays destroy all diseases. They destroy germs associated with disease.

(Atharvaveda: 6.52.3)The suns rays have been unceasingly carrying out the task of purifying and nourishing

grain, water, wind, earth, vegetables, herbs and the mind and body of living beings. The objectiveof the system of praying to the Sun God, offering libation to the Sun, performing Sun salutationprevalent in Indian civilization, is to attain mental health, physical health and spiritual progress. The most eminent physician of Ayurveda, Charaka acharya gave a very important place to theSun worship in the category of divine healing. The Western researcher Dr. Soley has said, Thepower to destroy a disease that the sun has is not found in any other object of the world. Animalssit in the sun and get cured of their diseases quickly, whereas human beings resorting to syntheticmedicines, destroy their health and wealth. If a person wants, he or she can quickly get disease-free through the solar therapy.

The seven colours present in the suns rays affect the seven dhtus, rasa, blood etc. of the

physical body. Other than the digestive fire which produces chyle from food, there are differentfires associated with the seven different dhtus, each of which aid the production of thecorresponding dhtu e.g. the fire associated with rasa formation, the fire associated with bloodformation, the fire associated with flesh formation etc.

Broadly speaking, the four functions of the seven colours present in the suns rays are:1. To stimulate the digestive fire.2. To stimulate the fires associated with the seven dhtus and thereby produce the essential

dhtus.3. To balance the three doshas: vta, pitta, kapha through the red, green and blue rays

respectively.4. To excrete the gross and subtle waste matter.

The functions of red, green and indigo rays

The red rays present in the sunlight, is warm, stimulant and energizing. Such rays have theunique and wonderful efficacy to activate the weak and inactive organs of the body, to revitalizethem and to remove the stiffness of muscles and tendons. This colour has a special effect on thethoracic and abdominal organs -the liver, the kidneys, the stomach, the intestines, the lungs andmuscles. It supplements the deficiency of iodine and increases the production of red blood cells,(haemoglobin). Asthma, cough, T.B. and other kapha related ailments, indigestion, hyperacidity, gas trouble and other diseases associated with poor digestion, paralysis, gout, pain in the joints, senile debility, muscular weakness, anaemia and low blood pressure - in all these ailments, thered rays provide miraculous benefit.

The green colour, present in the rays of the sun is neutral. It helps in excretion of wastematter and toxins from the body and purifies the blood. It keeps the mind happy and enthusiastic. It has a special effect on the skin, the organs below the waist and on excretory organs. It is also

good for the eyes. The green rays are especially beneficial for chronic constipation, renaldisorders like diabetes, renal failure, heart diseases, skin diseases, infected wounds and highblood pressure.

The indigo colour, present in the rays of the sun, is cool, sedative and germicidal. It curesmental stress. It strengthens the brain and the nervous system. It helps in spiritual progress andmeditation. It has special effect on the throat, the neck, the mouth, the brain and the head. It isespecially beneficial in diseases caused by aggravated pitta like burning and painful sensation inthe body, thirst, excessive bleeding during menstruation, headache, insomnia, hair loss, graying ofhair, epilepsy, insanity and other psychiatric and neurilogical disorders.

The common methods of sunlight therapy

  • 8/14/2019 Rishi Prasad - RP195March09New

    18/21

    1. Offering libation to the sun god: While offering water to the sun, the rays of the sun thatpass through the stream of water fall on our whole body from head to toe. With this, we naturallyget the benefits of taking water charged with the suns rays.

    2. Sun bath: During sunrise, wear minimal clothes, sit facing the sun in such a way that therays fall on your navel. Then shut your eyes and think, The seven coloured rays are entering mynavel. The radiant energy of the sun is absorbed by my body. With the Sun gods life nourishingenergies, every atom of my body is charged with tremendous power of immunity. . . .

Like this sit for eight minutes facing the sun and ten minutes with your back facing the sun.Be careful not to bask too long or see that the sun is not too hot. It is much better if you basklying down.

    3. Sun salutation: Every morning facing the sun and performing Surya namaskar along with

chanting of the appropriate mantra, forms a complete exercise. One Surya namaskar sequence is asequence of ten asanas. While doing Surya namaskar, the suns rays fall on all parts of the body.

Regular practice of Surya namaskar makes the body healthy, fit and strong. With this, one

develops a magnetic, powerful and dynamic personality.

Asaramji Bapu is a True SaintI am a social journalist. Once I met Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu in connection with a research project.

Today the media is spreading falsehoods regarding the Hindu saint, Sri Asaramji Bapu. Though I am a

Muslim, yet I am pained by the allegations being levelled against Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu. SriAsaramji Bapu is a true saint. Had it not been so, he wouldnt have kept quiet after receiving so manyinsults. We know what politicians do.

Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu had told me, If you want to behold Allah, meditate! I said, I am notable to meditate. He placed his hand on my head and said, If you will meditate at the time of Namaz(prayers) it will be easier. Remember me and call me for help. Though I did not have implicit faith, Idid as per his advice and the peace I experienced that day was indescribable. I successfully quitsmoking and non-vegetarian food. All my evil habits were gone. My life was filled with joy. Thesemedia people can do anything for money. Even Bapujis aura is a testimony to the fact that he is a truefaqir. In spite of all this smear campaign, he is calm, composed and joyful. This shows his equanimity.

I am a liberal Muslim. I have got real knowledge about Allah from Bapuji only. Hindus andpeople of other religions should respect Bapuji. It is difficult to fool even a few thousand people. And there are about 3-4 crores of people who are devoted to Bapuji. I have seen that the

message of love, service, bhakti and peace is given in his ashram. Bapu has never grabbedanybodys land. This allegation too is part of the conspiracy to malign him. If you dont trust mystatement, then check it for yourself. Pujyashri said, Every atom of yours should get purified with divine love this is what Iwant to give you. Every action of yours should get transformed into worship - this is the kind ofkarma-yoga I want to give you. Your devotion succeeds not after death but while you are alive this is the flavour of devotion I want to give you. Your wisdom should become such that evendeath approaches you, he will not be able to steal your wisdom. Treading on deaths head, youbecome free this is the wealth I want to give you.

2nd and 3rd February: Raita Ashram, Dist. Thane (Mah.) Here the nectar of satsang wasshowered. Bapuji stressed the importance of having platforms for satsangs in every place, in order

to heal the polluted and ailing mental health of society and gave ways to make it value-based andresolute in nature. Pujyashri said, Just as fickleness increases with the increase of theatres, greedfor food increases with the mushrooming of hotels, the number of ailing people increases with theincrease of hospitals, on the same lines, with the increase of satsangs, an increase in value-basedpeople occurs. Goodness is hidden in everybody. Satsang awakens that.

When it rains, then grass, thorns, many weeds grow but roses do not bloom. Roses

bloom where the sapling is planted. Similarly, society gets a lot of garbage from pictures,

from here and there, from websites but when the supling of satsang that joins us with God

is planted, then flowers with divine fragrance bloom.

5th and 6th February: Alandi, (Mah.) These two days were destined for the people ofPune (Mah.). The ambience of the two-day satsang programme organized in the ashram inAlandi, the land of Gods, was full of faith and devotion. Bapuji gave seekers wisdom about Gods

fundamental nature. According to Bapuji, It is not that there is someone sitting and watching youfrom up in the skies. He sits in your inner world, your heart and watches you. They say, God sitsup there. Wont He feel cold up there? Exposed to the wind and storm, wont He face difficultiesthere? Then why do they say that God or Allah is up there? Our lower chakras take us into thematerialistic world and our higher chakras take us towards wisdom about our higher Self. Desire, fear, greed, grief reside in the lower chakras. Therefore, when we call out to God or Allah, we donot feel like pointing our hands downwards. Equanimity, love, peace and inner bliss reside in ourhigher chakras. That is why when we talk of God or exclaim, Ya Allah! Oh God! My Prabhu!,then our arms are naturally raised upwards. This is the gift of our higher chakras. In the context ofGod, your arms will never go downwards. For that reason God orAllah is said to exist up there.Wisdom exits in our higher chakras.

This time, the festival of full moon during the month ofMagh, fell in the lap of Indore(M.P.). A Purnima darshan and satsang programme was organized on 7 th and 8th February.Tackling many obstacles in order to make it to get their Gurujis darshan every full moon,

Poonamvratdharis were taught effective ways of obstacle-free sdhan by Bapuji. He said:Contemplate . while you inhale and count one when you exhale, Bliss when you breathe inand count 2 when you breathe out This is thesdhan of breath awareness.

My husband does not allow me to do sdhan. Even his father cannot stop you in thesdhan of breath awareness. No one can stop you while praying to the God within. Soham So means that Consciouness; the witness to all corcimstamces and aham means I am. Thiswill lead to supreme devotion, You will experience repose in God naturaly; you will attain God!

Pujya Bapuji always says that He never fixes up any date for any satsang programme.Whatever God makes me say, I say. The people of Susner, Dist. Shajapur (M.P.) got to

actually experience this. After a 14 year long penance the Susner committee got the fruit of thatpenance when Bapuji held a satsang on 8 th and 9th December 2007. That time Bapuji had naturallysaid, Now I will not come after fourteen years, but I will come after fourteen months. Andactually, fourteen months later, Bapuji arrived in Susner.

When Pujyashri was told about this, He responded, Have fourteen months actually elapsed? How God has kept His promise! I was not sure if it was thirteen or fourteen months that hadelapsed. I had thought that we should have Vishnupadi Sankranti here. What God makes mecommit, He himself gets it fulfilled. I do not get to know about it. I say this as a matter of truth.

Pujya Bapuji, who loves cows, gave a gift to the cowshed here. In addition, enroute toBhawani Mandi, He also gave a heartfelt gift to the cowshed in Soyatkala Dist. Shajapur wherethe sadhaks are involved in devoted service to the cows. Dont consider service to the cows as a

burden. If you use skilful planning to serve the cows, then along with protecting the cows, we canget a good source of income. Directing the attention of listeners towards this, Pujyashri said, Toassume that we give food to the cows and nurture them, is a misunderstanding. We dont feed thecows, the cows feed us. The urine and dung of cows can become a good means of income.Explaining this thoroughly, Pujyashri guided people to work for the protection and nurturing ofcows.

Devotees got to drink the nectar of satsang on 14thand 15th February in Bhawani Mandi,Dist. Jhalavad, (Raj.) and on 15th February (evening) in Jhalavad Only one satsang session

was allotted to the people of Jhalavad. Imparting true knowledge to the massive crowd that hadgathered there, Pujyashri said, True knowledge is that which liberates one from bondages, freesone from the quagmire of sorrow and from the attachment to happiness. gm {dm `m {d_wV o & Man

should acquire that knowledge which would relieve him from sorrow help him realize the Bliss-Absolute Atman, the knowledge which prevents him from becoming spiritually orphan and uniteshim with his spiritual parent, God.

The satsang fans ofDulia, (Mah.) were blessed with the pious opportunity of satsnag on 16thand 17th February. On 17th evening, Pujya Bapuji paid a visit to the cowshed in Dondaicha,Dist. Dhulia and gave a satsang there. 18th morning brought fresh colour to the residents ofKhandesh, (Dhulia, Nandurbar, Jalgaon). The devotees of Prakasha, Dist. Nandurbar,(Mah.) got the good fortune of getting coloured by their beloved Gurudev before Holi. Specialarrangements had been made to play Holi there. Devotees from Prakasha and nearby cities, who

had gathered in huge numbers, benefited from this. From here, Pujya Bapuji left for Nasik. On the way, at dozens of places, people gathered in

multitudes and kept waiting many hours in order to welcome Bapuji. Looking at their penance,Pujyashri also stopped at various places and fulfilled them with the nectar of satsang.

The Maha Shivratri festival was orgainsed from 20th to 23rd February, Nasik, (Mah.).Lakhs of people gathered to celebrate this pure festival in Satgurus presence. The last leg ofthe exam of the Divya Prerna Pratiyogitacompetition, organized all over India, was held hereand winners were awarded gold medals, silver medals, cash prizes, commemoration emblems etc.by Bapuji.

Every word of Shiv-natured Gurus is flavoured with Shivs attributes and meant for the good

of all. Highlighting this fact, Pujyashri said, Irrespective of whether you put tobacco or not in anold hukkah (the old method of consuming tobacco), when you draw up your breath in an oldhukkah, then you will get the odour of tobacco. Even when you blow out, then the smell oftobacco will be evident. Similarly, those whose minds consider the world to be real, who areattached to the world, however good the work they do, only the smell of negative habits will beevident. On the other hand, saints while reflecting and making others reflect on God, if in themiddle they talk about worldy issues, the fragrance that emanates will be that of God only.

The river of satsang flowed in Beed, (Mah.) on the morning of 25th February. Evenonlookers were surprised to see the flood of devotees who had assembled. In the first sessionitself, the satsang tent proved to be too small. Bapuji imparted tips on sdhan and health to thedevotees.

People inlarge numbers gathered to watch Bapuji inaugurate the newly made ashram. By talking of thepath of mutual good, Bapuji thus gave the key to make family and social life successful.

Time and again it has been specially noted that satsangs held even in small cities attract amultitude of seekers.Along with this, on the route followed by Bapuji, people from many
