2013: Start-up of AP60 pots at the historical center of aluminium development in CanadaA new milestone for reduction technology has been recently reached with the successful startup of the Arvida AP60 Technological Center in Jonquière, Quebec, Canada.

With the demonstration of AP60 at Arvida Technology Center and APXe at Laboratoire de Recherche des Fabrications (LRF) in France, Rio Tinto Alcan makes available high productivity and low energy consumption technologies to its partners and customers, and thereby offering the most productive, cost effective and cleanest smelting technology in the world.
