Known  for  some  of  the  finest  quality  powder  snow  in  the  world,  Niseko  has  been  visited  by  increasing  numbers  of  foreign  skiers  since  2000.  In  fact,  the  number  of  foreigners  can  create  an  illusion  one  is  no  longer  in  Japan.  Many  luxury  condominiums  have  been  built  in  the  area  recently.  In  the  Hirafu  area,  the  MUSE  NISEKO  guest  rooms  and  lobby  interiors  are  adorned  with  calligraphy  by  artist  Rieko  Kawanabe,  while  LOFT  NISEKO  features  interior  decoration  by  Yoo  Design,  led  by  Philippe  Starck.  These  high-‐quality  apartments  have  a  real  sense  of  space  with  multiple  bedrooms,  living  rooms  and  kitchens,  which  allow  you  to  enjoy  a  cup  of  coffee  and  snacks  at  any  time.  With  the  largest  residence  at  MUSE  NISEKO  over  200  m²,  there  is  plenty  of  space  for  family  and  friends  to  stay  for  a  day,  a  week,  or  a  month  or  more,  just  like  a  villa.  This  is  high-‐grade  accommodation  in  which  to  enjoy  champagne  after  skiing.    

These  two  condominiums  were  designed  by  Italian-‐Australian  architect  Riccardo  Tossani.  His  objective  since  first  visiting  Niseko  10  years  ago  has  been  to  develop  the  resort  to  showcase  the  local  culture  including  food  and  farm  produce.  He  has  also  designed  the  interior  of  KAMIMURA,  a  Michelin-‐star  restaurant  in  Hirafu.  While  skiing  is  only  considered  a  kind  of  athletic  sport  in  Japan,  there  are  many  popular  and  wealthy  resorts  in  Europe  and  America.  Niseko  intends  to  develop  itself  into  a  similarly  high-‐quality  international  resort.    These  great  condominiums  aimed  primarily  for  foreign  guests,  provide  an  opportunity  for  Japanese  visitors  to  enjoy  high  levels  of  design  and  luxury.
