• Recent Area Transportation Projects (past 20 years):
- The Teays Valley and Hurricane interchanges of I-64 were upgraded with additional lanes and new overpass bridges
- Liberty Park Drive interstate frontage road completed

- A portion of County Route 19 and State Route 34 were upgraded to five lanes and the remainder of State Route 34 through the area was upgraded to three lanes with sidewalks on both sides

congestion levels with the Putnam TMA portion using travel time data
highway safety using crash data compliled from accident reports
highway capacity using average daily traffic counts (ADT) and travel demand model output data

• STP and TAP Suballocation Procedures
- RIC staff have developed a set of procedures for the distribution of STP and TAP suballocated funds for the Putnam TMA portion
- Because the annual funding amounts are relatively small, RIC did not develop its own competitive grant program
- Instead a committee consisting of RIC staff, WV DOH staff and officials from eligible entities within the TMA portion meet annually to determine the distribution of the funds

RIC-KYOVA TMA Cooperative Planning Efforts
• Development of a joint Congestion Management Process for the TMA in 2014
• Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in 2015 outlining respective transportation planning responsibilities within the TMA
• Joint participation in each MPO’s TTAC meetings
• Periodic MPO coordination and update meetings
