A training activity was organized, to ensure safe execution of lifting operations for loads of 50 tons or more during the pipe assembly activities currently in progress at the Gas-to-Gasoline (GTG) Project. In particular, the training process covers planning of the load lifting operations between the spools, at the pipe bridges and at areas where assembly is challenging due to structural difficulties, choosing accurate lifting apparatus, and safe transfer of the load from the hook of the crane to the structure where it will be assembled by using a hoist.

Training on rescue from confined spaces containing gas and first aid training has been carried out at the construction site of the YAMAL LNG Project. The confined space training was been supported with first aid training and training in rescue from heights, in order to improve the effectiveness of the emergency rescue team in emergencies.

On September 2017, 45 meters of 72-inch diameter stainless steel Cold Box Riser pipe spool, weighing 32 tons, was assembled in the Air Separation Unit (ASU) area of the Gas-to-Gasoline (GTG) Project currently under construction by RHI in Ahal Province, Turkmenistan.

During the assembly process, heavy lifting procedures were implemented due to the weight and dimensions of the spool. It was lifted to a height of 100 meters using 300-ton crawler crane.

Alptekin Tizer, the President of RHI, and the executive team paid a visit to the construction site of Sibur ZapSib-2 Ethylene Cracker Unit (ECU) in Tobolsk, Russia. It is one of the most remarkableand challenging projects planned for construction in 2019, and current progressed is at more than 30 percent completion. Details of ZapSib-2 Project: The ethylene units will receive and use ethane, propane, and n-butane as raw materials. The plant will produce 1.5 million tons of ethylene, 500,000 tons of propylene and 100,000 tons of BBF per year. These products will help to meet the demands of the plastics manufacturing industry.

İKİTELLİ CITY HOSPITAL PPP PROJECT IS AWARDED THE ‘’PPP DEAL OF THE YEAR” IN EUROPE

NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD

Forbes magazine has completed its rating list of the 200 largest private companies in Russia, the positions having been determined from the accounting of their revenues for 2016. Renaissance Construction maintained its position in the first half of the list, in 84th place for 2017.

İkitelli City Hospital, a public–private partnership (PPP) project carried out by Renaissance Healthcare Investment and Japanese conglomerate Sojitz, won the “PPP Deal of the Year” award for its JPY 163 billion financial closure.

The project was recognized as the “PPP Deal of the Year” in Europe at the Project Finance International (PFI) Awards organized by Thomson Reuters, one of the world’s most prestigious business media and information firms. The awards event, which is held every year by Thomson Reuters to choose the best projects in the world, will be presented at a special ceremony in London on February 7, 2018.

On December 29, 2017, RHI’s Members of the Board held the annual New Year’s Eve meeting. It was underlined that 2018 is the year where we’ll step into new fronts towards new projects. To that end, we have new regions and potential projects in Europe, Central Asia, and North Africa. Having entered Algeria in 2017, we already began collecting the fruits of our labor and accordingly we have 3 newly awarded projects with more to come. One of the announced resolutions for 2018 is to optimize our existing resources and proceed to the successful realization of our new projects in 2018.

The İkitelli City Hospital (the financial closure ceremony of which was held in June 2017 with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in attendance), will be one of the world’s largest hospitals. The facility is designed to cover a construction area of over one million m2 and to serve 23,600 patients per day, with a projected bed capacity of 2,700.
