Residence Hall
Association
November 2016
Thank you to all the members of hall government and of the halls who helped welcome the children to our
campus on October 27th. From having candy and allowing children to trick-or-treat at your rooms to
having a booth in the carnival in the Mathew Living Learning Center, this event was made successful
because of you. We, in RHA, and the Fargo-Moorhead Community want to thank you for helping give
children a safe fun experience during the Halloween season.
THANK YOU

Don’t get hooked by phishing scams!
Phishing is a cybercriminal attempt to steal personal and financial information or infect your devices with malware and viruses. If you reply or click on a malicious link in a phishing email, you open the door to cyber criminals to steal your personal information, including banking information or other account usernames and passwords.
Visit www.ndsu.edu/its/phishing to learn about phishing strategies and consequences, how to identify phishing scams, and what to do if you get hooked. If you receive a suspicious email, forward it to [email protected]. The NDSU IT Security team will help determine whether or not the email is legiti-mate. If you think you have been hooked by a phishing scam, immediately contact the NDSU IT Help Desk at [email protected] or 701-231-8685.
Sevrinson has been holding board game nights 7:30pm on Fridays, in the first floor TV room. Sevrinson also held a pumpkin and 1st floor decorating event on October 22nd. Recently, Sevrinson had two Caramel Apple nights (on a Tuesday and a Friday), which were delicious and successful.

HALL SPOTLIGHTS
Here are some photos from our Cupcake Diversity Event! Seim residents decorated their own cupcake based on what they liked/interested in. For example, green frosting meant you enjoy the outdoors; blue frosting meant you like photography/reading. It was a great turn out and of course delicious cupcakes!
SEIM
We are going to highlight the great things that have been going on in residence halls around campus. This will include
pictures and descriptions of the events to help inspire ideas and reward the students’ hard work.
Reed/Johnson and Weible had a Halloween Dance on Halloween night. The event was open to students from both of the halls. It featured a dance with games and food.
