Numri special i Revistës FOKUS UST i dedikohet

tërësisht një evenimenti madhor të sportit kom-

bëtar: Universiadës Shqiptare 2011. Ky botim nuk

lidhet vetëm me faktin që Universiada u zhvillua në

UST. As vetëm me faktin që angazhimi ynë si univer-

siteti i sportit ishte i plotë dhe përcaktues në suksesin

e tij. Përveç këtyre arsyeve, ajo që është ndoshta

më e rëndësishme është vlerësimi dhe përkushtimi

që u tregua dhe do të vazhdojë të tregohet edhe

në të ardhmen për ringjalljen e një tradite të sh-

uar dhe shumë të nevojshme për jetën universitare

kombëtare.

Ky botim i këtij numri special të revistës FOKUS UST

është gjithashtu edhe një shenjë respekti e mirënjo-

hje për të gjithë ata që punuan, luajtën u lodhën e

gëzuan gjatë ditëve të Universiadës, për të gjithë ata

që kontribuan si organizatorë sportistë, teknikë, staf

ndihmës apo edhe si spektatorë të Universiadës.

Editorial

This special issue of FOCUS UST Journal is entirely

dedicated to a major event of national sport: Al-

banian Universiade 2011. This issue is related

not only to the fact that this Univrsiade was held

at UST; neither only to the fact that our commit-

ment as a sports university was complete and de-

terminant to its success. Besides these reasons,

what is more important is the evaluation and de-

termination that was and will be demonstrated

in the future to revive a tradition that was faded

but much needed for the national university life.

The publication of this special issue of FOCUS UST

Journal is also a sign of respect and gratitude to

all those who worked, played, sweated and en-

joyed the Universiade, to all those who contrib-

uted as organizers, athletes, technicians, sup-

porting staff or as spectators at the Universiade.

Me 3 Nëntor 1963, çelen në Tiranë lojrat e para studenteske me pjesmarrjen e Universitetit Shtetëror të Tiranës, Institutit të Lartë Shtetëror të Bujqësisë dhe Instituteve Pedagogjike 2 vjeçare të Tiranës e Shkodrës, datë që vetëm një historian e gazetar sporti si Besnik Dizdari, të cilit i falenderohemi pa masë, është në gjendje të na e do-kumentojë pasi arkivat, memorja, e aq më pak kujtesa jonë sportive për fat të keq tashmë shpresoj ta mësojë.

Si sportist e student pjesmarrës në Universiadën e vitit 1970 besoj se me tërë bashkohësit e mi, kujtojmë me kënaqësi të veçantë ndeshjet midis fakulteteve të ndryshme të Universitetit të Ti-ranës, Shkodrës dhe Institutit të Fiskulturës, gjithnjë në Tiranë, një festë gjithnjë e bukur dhe mbresëlënëse.

Të paaftë për të ndjekur kro-nologjikisht gjatë viteve ecurinë e këtij aktiviteti unikal për uni-versitet dhe studentët, por mjaft të saktë për të pohuar përsiatjen e rrjedhjen e tij drejt harresës totale si dhe “aftësinë” e dema-gogjinë e kapjes pas interesave personale të “individëve” për-faqësues të sportit universitar të vetëm e vetëm për aktivitete ndërkombëtare, herë si per-sona, herë si klub studenti, për-faqësues i të cilëve pavarësisht pretendimeve, nuk arriti kurrë të jetë.

Rrugëtimi vijon në ndonjë për-pjekje sporadike e tërësisht të veçuar rreth viteve 2000, për të ardhur në përpjekjen e vizion-imit e realizimit të një projekti model 4 vjeçar për riorganiz-imin e ringjalljen e sportit uni-versitar në Shqipëri.

Nga asistimet e vazhdueshme të përfaqësuese të UST-së në Kongreset e njëpasnjëshme të Federatës Botërore e Europiane Universitare, në pjesmarrjen e pedagogëve e studentëve të UST-së në Universiadën Botërore të Beogradit 2009, nga pritja në UST të Presidentit e Sekretarit të Përgjith-

On 3rd November 1963, began the first student games in Tirana in which participated the State University of Ti-rana, State High Institute of Agricul-ture and the two-year Pedagogical In-stitutes of Shkodra and Tirana. This is a date that only one historian and sports reporter and journalist such as Besnik Dizdari, to whom we are im-mensely grateful, is able to record as the archives and to a lesser extent our memory could retrieve.

Being a participating student and athlete in the 1970 Universiade, all my contemporaries and I believe and happily remember the matches between the differ-

ent faculty teams of Tirana and Shkodra University, and Physi-cal Culture Institute, in Tirana too, as always a beautiful and impressive red-letter day.

Being unable to follow chrono-logically through the years the progress of this unique activity for the universities and students, yet being quite precise to admit its mediation and flow towards total oblivion and “ability” of the demagogy to grasp tightly to the personal interests of “in-dividuals” representing univer-sity sports just to international events, sometimes as individu-als and in others as students’ clubs, whose representative did not manage to be despite the claims.

The journey continues along any sporadic and completely separate endeavor around the 2000s, coming to the efforts of visualizing and achieving a 4-year model project for the re-organization and restoration of university sports in Albania.

Starting from the ongoing at-tendances of the UST repre-sentatives in the consecutive Congresses held by World and European University Federation to the participation of UST stu-dents and professors in the Bel-

grade World Universiade in 2009, from the reception of the President and General Secretary of European

shëm të Federatës Universitare të Europës Mars 2011, në realizimin e Universiadës Sportive të Shqipërisë me 14 universitete pjesmarrëse, private e publike, në Tiranë, Shkodër. Korçë e Elbasan, nga seleksionimi i studentëve sportistë më cilësorë të disa universiteteve, në një përfaqësim shpresojmë mjaft dinjitoz e institu-cional realisht gjithëpërfshirës e përfaqësues të sportit tonë universitar në Universiadën Botërore të Shenxhe-nit 2011 (Kinë) – kjo është traseja e modelit të projek-tuar, organizuar e realizuar, model që besoj shpreh qartësisht trendin dhe zhvillimet europiane e botërore të sportit universitar shqiptar.

UST si inciator, mendoj se ka “vuajtur” shumë pak për të “bindur” dre-jtuesit e universiteteve të tjera, përkundrazi do të duhet të falenderojmë tërë Rektorët, peda-gogët e sportit universi-tar si dhe tërë sportistët pjesmarrës për gadish-mërinë, entuziazmin dhe impenjimin e shprehur, duke i vlerë-suar si kontributorë të padiskutueshëm në suksesin e Universiadës tonë të përbashkët.

Një vlerësim po ashtu të veçantë mendoj se do të duhet ti shkojë Ministrisë së Arsimit dhe Shkencës, asajt të Tur-izimit, Kulturës, Rinisë e Sporteve e veçanërisht drejtuesëve të Federatave Sportive të Futbollit, Basket-bollit, Volejbollit, Atletikës, Ping-Pongut e Sportit për të Gjithë, për mbështetjen e plotë morale, financiare e teknike të këtij aktiviteti.

Dhe lëmë prapa një përvojë, një përpjekje, një model, një mundësi vazhdimësie, që sigurisht kërkon një kom-petencë profesionale tashmë të shprehur nga njerëzit e sportit, por dhe domosdoshmërinë e një organizimi të ri të një Federate Universitare Sportive Shqiptare dhe financimin e domosdoshëm të veprimtarive të saj.

University Federation in March 2011 to the realization of Albania’s Sports Universiade with 14 participating, public and private, universities of Tirana, Shkodra, Korca and Elbasan, from the selection of the most excellent sports students from these universities to a dignified institutional and all embracing representa-tion of our university sport in the World Universiade of 2011 Shenzhen China –this is the track of the model designed, organized and realized, a model that clear-ly expresses the European and World sports trends and developments into the Albanian university sports scene.

I think UST as the initiator has “suf-fered” very little to “convince” the heads of other universities, instead we have to thank all the Rec-tors, the pedagogues of sport at universi-ties and all the par-ticipating athletes for their willingness, en-thusiasm and com-mitment expressed, thus appreciating them as indispens-able contributors to the success of our joint Universiade.

I would have to ap-preciate especially the Ministry of Edu-cation and Science, and that of Tourism, Culture, Youth and

Sports, as well as the Heads of Sports Federations of Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Athletics, Table-tennis and Sports for All for their full moral, financial and technical support in this activity.

And we, thus, leave behind an experience, an attempt, a model, a prospect of continuity, which of course re-quires professional competence already expressed by the people of sport, as well as the necessity of a new organization of a Federation of University Sports and the indispensable financing of its activities.

From 19 to 23 April 2011 was held the “Sports Uni-versiade April 2011” with the participation of 14 Albanian public and private Universities.The preliminary rounds were held in:

• Korca – organized by “Fan Noli” University – Basketball events for men and women from 19 to 20 April.

• Elbasan – organized by “Alkesander Xhuvani” University – Futsal events for men from 19 to 21 April.

• Shkoder – organized by “Luigj Gurakuqi” Uni-versity – Volleyball events for men and women from 19 – 20 April.

Collaborators in the realization of this Universiade have also been Albanian Football Federation, Al-banian Basketball Federation, Albanian Volleyball Federation, Albanian Federation of Athletics, Alba-nian Federation of Table-tennis and Albanian Fed-eration of Sports for All.

Nga data 19 – 23 Prill 2011 u zhvillua “Universiada Sportive Prill 2011” me pjesmarrjen e 14 Univer-siteteve nga i gjithë vendi si ato publike ashtu edhe ato private. Turnete kualifikues u zhvilluan në:

Nuk mund të kuptohet jeta studentore pa aktivitete

fiskulturore. Universiada Studentore e Prillit 2011

tregoi qartë për nevojën që në Universitetet tona,

aktivitetet sportive masive dhe ato të specializuara

duhet të jenë në krah të aktivitetit mësimor e atij

kërkimor.

Student life cannot be understood without physi-

cal-culture activities. Students’ Universiade of April

2011 clearly showed the need among our universi-

ties for mass and specialized sports activities along-

side academic and research activities.

“Universiada Studentore Prill 2011” për studentet

e Universitetit “Fan S. Noli” Korçë, stafin akademik

dhe për mua personalisht ka qenë një nga veprim-

tarite më të bukura, më të dobishme pse jo dhe

një nga evenimentet më të arira që Universitetet

shqiptare organizuan në pranverën e këtij viti, për

të rigjalleruar jeten sportive studentore, te lënë në

haresë prej disa dekadash. Universiteti i Sporteve,

si një nga nismëtaret dhe protagonistët e kësaj vep-

rimtarie meriton falenderimet më të sinqerta, sepse

ishte ai i pari që morri këtë iniciative, e cila pa asnjë

ngurim u mbështet edhe nga mjaft universitete të

tjera. Kjo veprimtari sportive kombëtare na vuri në

lëvizje të gjithëve, sepse në këtë kuadër ne organi-

zuam aktivitete në nivel universiteti për të përzgjed-

hur më të mirët që do të na përfaqësonin në të gjitha

llojet e sporteve. Kjo universiadë sportive, përveç

cilësisë dhe ambjentit mjaft të bukur sportiv që sol-

li, forcoi miqësinë studentore si dhe krijoi premisa

për të organizuar edhe më tepër veprimtari të tjera

sportive edhe më të bukura edhe të larmishme në

të ardhmen. Ajo tregoi se studentët tanë nuk janë të

shkëlqyer vetëm në aspektin mësimor, kërkimor dhe

shkencor, por ata janë të spikatur edhe në veprim-

taritë argëtuese dhe sportive.

“Students’ Universiade April 2011“ for students of

“Fan S. Noli “ University, Korçë, for the academic

staff and for me personally has been one of the

most beautiful and useful if not one of the achieve-

ments of the Albanian Universities organized this

spring in order to revive students’ sporting life,

which was left aside in the past few decades. Uni-

versity of Sports, as one of the initiators and the pro-

tagonists of this event deserves a sincere thanking,

for it was the first to take the initiative without any

hesitation and which was then supported by many

other universities. This national sports event set in

motion us all, because in this context, we organized

activities at our university to select the best represen-

tatives in all kinds of sports events. This Universiade,

except for the exceptionally beautiful environment,

brought about strengthened students’ friendship,

and created a prerequisite to organize future and

various sports activities and events. It showed that

our students are excellent not only in terms of edu-

cation, research and scientific aspect, but they are

also prominent in recreational activities and sports.

Opinion i Rektorit të Universitetit të Shkodrës “Luigj Gurakuqi” për “Universiadën Studentore 2011”

“Universiada Studentore”, që u zhvillua në prill të

këtij viti, ishte një veprimtari tejet e rëndësishme për

lëvizjen studentore. Ajo gjallëroi jetën sportive dhe

patjetër pati efektet e saj edukative për të gjithë

studentët pjesëmarrës. Gërshetimi i punës midis

universiteteve ka ndikuar në afrimin dhe bashkë-

punimin e tyre të suksesshëm.

Universiteti i Shkodrës “Luigj Gurakuqi” u paraqit

me dinjitet në këtë veprimtari. Ekipet e tij në disa

sporte arritën rezultate të kënaqshme. Këto rezul-

tate kanë rritur vëmendjen tonë dhe kanë ngjallur

interes për të gjithë komunitetin universitar.

Në të ardhmen të gjitha universiteteve, u del si

detyrë, që këtë veprimtari sportive ta kthejnë në një

eveniment tradicional. Për këtë kërkohet akoma

më shumë angazhim nga ana e drejtuesve, peda-

gogëve dhe studentëve.

Unë ju uroj për këtë veprimtari dhe për suksese të

tjera në të ardhmen.

educational effects for all the participating students.

The combined work between universities has led to

their successful approach and cooperation.

University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi “ was pre-

sented with dignity in this event. Its teams reached

satisfactory results in several sports. These results

have increased our attention and have sparked in-

terest throughout the university community.

In the future, it emerges as a duty for all universi-

ties to turn this sporting event into a tradition. This

requires even more commitment from the leaders,

professors and students.

I congratulate you for this event and wish you many

successes in the future.

Organizimi i Universiadës Sportive ka qenë një nga

eventet më domethënëse të realizuara midis uni-

versiteteve shtetërore dhe private si dhe një pikë

takimi e studentëve të këtyre universiteteve tashmë

jashtë auditoreve dhe konferencave shkencore.

Ndonëse ishte një rifillim pas një shkëputje të gjatë

kohe, u ndje dëshira e e të gjithëve për t’u futur

në këtë “garë” e cila rezultoi e suksesshme mbi

të gjitha në fushën e bashkëpunimit të ndërsjellë

jashtë konkurencës së përditshme duke u bërë në

këtë mënyrë një nga arritjet më të mëdha të jetës

universitare në Shqipëri.

Megjithë pjesëmarrjen vetëm në dy sporte dhe me

një medalje të fituar Akademia e Arteve, duke parë

dhe entuziazmin që krijoi Universiada Sportive në

mes të Universiteteve të ndryshme dhe studentëve

pjesëmarrës, e kompletoi prezencën e saj edhe

me një “ekip” artistik i cili ndihmoi në realizimin e

spektaklit përmbyllës të Universiadës.

Duke uruar edhe një herë Universitetin e Sporteve

të Tiranës dhe Prof. Vesel Rizvanollin për iniciativen

si dhe të gjitha Universitetet që ndihmuan në real-

izimin e Universiadës, shpresoj dhe dëshiroj që kjo

eksperiencë të jetë një hap i parë drejt një orga-

nizimi periodik.

The organization of Sports Universiade has been

one of the most significant events ever realized be-

tween state and private universities; as well it was

a meeting point for all the students of these univer-

sities out of the auditoriums and research confer-

ences. Moreover this implied a restart after a long

interruption, all of us felt the desire to be part of

this “race” which resulted in a success mainly in the

area of joint cooperation beyond everyday competi-

tion, thus being on of the greatest achievement of

university life in Albania.

The Academy of Fine Arts participated in only two of

these sports and in one was awarded with a med-

al, our students, witnessing the enthusiasm that the

Universiade brought about among the various uni-

versities and participating students, fulfilled its par-

ticipation by contributing with an artistic “team” in

the Universiade final show.

Congratulating once again the Sports University of

Tirana as well as Prof.Vejsel Rizvanolli for this initia-

tive, and all the other universities that assisted for

the realization of the Universiade, I wish and hope

that this experience is the first step towards a peri-

odical organization.

Universiada 2011 “ Sporti është cilësi jete”

Sporti në përgjithësi dhe Basketbolli ne veçanti, janë veprimtari që i përkasin gjithë popullatës, pjesa më vitale e së cilës është rinia universitare. Organizimi dhe përfshirja e kësaj kategorie në aktivitete të kë-tyre përmasave siç janë lojrat studentore është një mision i të gjithë lëvizjes sportive shqiptare.Ndjehem i gëzuar për pjesmarrjen e shumë univer-siteteve në këto lojra dhe veçanërisht në basketboll, si edhe për interesin e shfaqur nga një sërë rektor-atesh në këtë nisëm. Nisma e marrë nga Universiteti i Sporteve të Tiranës si edhe vullneti i strukturave sportive kombëtare, për të organizuar dhe zhvilluar me sukses këtë veprim-tari tregoi atë që prej kohësh ka munguar, bashki-min e të gjithë përvojave pozitive të një sërë feder-atash dhe institucionesh për të përmbushur me sukses këtë veprimtari.Objektivi ynë është orinetimi i rinisë universitare dre-jt sportit, shtimi i numrit të aktiviteteve dhe përfshirja e tyre në kalendaret sportivë kombëtarë, na obli-gon për t’i kushtuar kësaj kategorie një vëmëndje akoma më të madhe. Universiade 2011 “Sport is a quality of life”

Sport in general and basketball in particular, are activities that belong to the entire population, the major and vital part of whom are university youths. The organization and the inclusion of this category in activities of such dimensions like student games is the mission of all Albanian sports movement.I feel happy about the participation of many univer-sities in these games and especially in basketball, as well as about the interest shown by many Rector-ates in this initiative.The initiative undertaken by the Sports University of Tirana and the willingness of national sports struc-tures, to organize and successfully hold the event showed what has long been absent, the unity of all the positive experiences of a number of federations and institutions to accomplish successfully this event.Our objective is orienting university students to-wards sport, and in order to increase the number of activities and to include these in the national sports calendar, we must be committed to pay greater at-tention to this category.What did the recently finalized event show?• Itshowedthatwhentheorganizationforcesare

Greetings!

The organization of the University Games 2011 by UST brings about a novelty that produced in high time a truly magnificent event.Within the viewpoint of vocational training the qual-ity of these University Games brought in the mean-time:

1. Promotion of sports games and activities to our public and private universities

2. It was noticed an increasing desire and interest to engage in sports, sports activities as well as for agonism.

3. Prevalence of fair-play and civic ethics through-out all games.

4. Effective cooperation with strategic partners and organizers such as MTCYS, Sports Federations, Associations etc.

5. Novelty of technological communication via e-mail between participants and organizers.

6. The creation of brand - logo and slogan of this activity.

7. Quality coverage in sports press and visual me-dia.

8. Suitable conditions and contemporary sports fa-cilities.

9. Organization and professional animation in awarding the prizes and trophies.

10. Spectacular event finalization featuring ele-ments of modern sports such as acrobatics, aer-obics and lots of interesting games.

We wish that this fine initiative continues and follows up in the years to come, because not only sport, but young people themselves experienced appreciation throughout the entire event. We thank especially the organizers of UST, the Sports Research Centre and all those who managed this event at a national level.
