1. Pretérito - 2 completed actions on the past – Yo comí un sándwich y ella bebió una coca-cola.
2. Imperfecto – both sentences describe habitual or continuous actions. Siempre comíamos un sándwich de jamón y ellas bebían una coca-cola.
3. Pretérito e Imperfecto – one sentence describes what was going on and the other action interrupts the ongoing on action.
Yo comía un sándwich cuando mi amiga llegó. Imperfecto - comía pretérito – llegó
