    l. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding accepting the dedication of Right-of-Way-2.45 l acres along the east side of Experiment Farm Road, just south of 1501 Experiment Farm Road. The Right-of-Way to be dedicated is 2.451 acres of existing IL 6898. The Troy Planning Commission has recommended that the right-of-way dedication be approved.

    2. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding accepting the dedication of Right-of-Way-.189 acres along West SR 55, adjacent to existing lnlots 7159 and 8659. The Troy Planning Commission has recommended that the right-of-way dedication be approved.

    o 4.584 acre parcel located to the north of Treasure Island Park, donated by Hobart Brothers Company.

    o 0.283 acre parcel located just north of the area donated by Hobart Brothers Company, parcel donated by Dr. Jason Johnston.

    o 11 7 .278 acre parcel, formerly known as the Huelskamp farm

    SUBJECT: DEDICATION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY

    At the September 29, 2015 meeting of the Troy Planning Commission, by unanimous votes, the Troy Planning Commission recommends the following to Troy City Council:

    DEDICATON OF RIGHT-OF-WAY - ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF EXPERIMENT FARM ROAD JUST SOUTH OF 1501 EXPERIMENT FARM ROAD - DEDICATION IS 2.451 ACRES OF EXISTING IL 6898. Staff has approved a replat encompassing a 73.230 acre parcel along the east side of Experiment Farm Road (across the road to the east of Vectren and the City of Troy garage). As part of the replat, staff requested the owner to dedicate 2.451 acres of lnlot 6898 as right-of-way. The process is for the Planning Commission to provide a recommendation to Council regarding accepting the dedication of right-of-way, with a final determination by Troy City Council. A motion was approved that Council accept the dedication of 2.451 acres of existing IL 6898 as right-of-way.

    DEDICATION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY - ALONG WEST SR 55, ADJACENT TO EXISTING INLOTS 7159 AND 8659 - DEDICATION IS .189 ACRES OF EXISTING IL 7159 & IL 6898. Staff has approved a replat encompassing a 14.37 6 acre parcel along the south side of W. Market St/St.Rt.55 and the west side of Barnhart Road, (across from Horizon Court West). The owner, Segna, Inc., is planning a building expansion. As part of the replat, staff requested the owner to dedicate .189 acres of lnlot 6898 and lnlot 7159 as right-of-way. The process is for the Planning Commission to provide a recommendation to Council regarding accepting the dedication of right-of-way, with a final determination by Troy City Council. A motion was approved that Council accept the dedication of 0.189 acres of existing ILs 7159 and 8659 as right-of-way.

    A copy of the communication to the Planning Commission and a copy of the replat map are attached.

    These recommendations are forwarded herewith for consideration of Troy City Council.

The Right-of-Way to be dedicated is 2.451 acres of existing Inlot 6898. The replat is considered a minor subdivision and does not require Planning Commission nor City Council approval.     That Council authorizes the Director of Public Service and Safety to commence the process to have City-owned parcels annexed to the City.

    SUMMARY: There are three parcels of City-owned property not yet annexed to the City:

    4.584 acre parcel located to the north of Treasure Island Park, donated by Hobart Brothers Company.

    0.283 acre parcel located just north of the area donated by Hobart Brothers Company, parcel donated by Dr. Jason Johnston.

    117.278 acre parcel, formerly known as the Huelskamp farm.

    The Director of Law has recommended that the City proceed to annex the parcels.

    REQUESTED ACTION: It would be appreciated if you would assign to a Committee of Council authorizing the Director of Public Service and Safety to commence the process for the annexation of these parcels.
