• South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is the central bank of the Republic of South Africa, but unlike other central banks it is privately owned. It regards its primary goal in the South African economic system as "the achievement and maintenance of price stability".

Challenges

• SARB as part of project Genesis; which includes revamping their enterprise systems including their Core Banking platform, wants to make their Budgeting and Reporting process more efficient, accurate and useful in order to continue operating profitably as they grow

Our Solution

• Oracle 11g used as Relational Database to store Planning Application definition.

• Hyperion Essbase used for storing data , metadata and also Planning application.

• Hyperion Administration Services used to develop, design and maintain Essbaseapplication and database.

• IBS is a compliance management product company with over 2000 site licenses installed. Headquartered in Germany, they have significant market share in the compliance management product in North America and Europe

Challenges

• Need to integrate CompliantPro - a XML based non-RDBMS structure with different the reporting environment and extraction tools of the clients

• A common reporting interface to CompliantProdata with ability to query data as ad-hoc reports.

• Ability to see data from different dimensions in cube formats

Our Solution

• A generic Data Warehouse schema was extracted from the non-RDBMS XML based database of CompliantPro.

• Data was extracted, transformed and loaded into the DW schema using SQL Server Integration Services as the ETL tool.

• For some clients those who did not have a reporting product, an open source reporting solution was implemented using iReport, Jasper Reports and Mondrian.

• The open source suite was productised to do custom implementation for various clients
