If the Internet is a vast ocean to be explored and your Internet business is your boat,

your niche is undoubtedly your rudder. The niche that you select and use for your

marketing efforts will determine exactly where you go with your business.

There are many methods revealed in this report that will help you figure out which

niches you should be pursuing based on your interests, the market’s interests and how

much money can be made.

That being said, it’s important to keep in mind that you may not hit the jackpot the first

time with a niche. You may find a niche that you believe will be a goldmine only to find

out there is some other mitigating factor that will make it impossible for you to make

money like you expected to.

Niches are part of your everyday life. They are your hobbies, your interests, your family

Are you interested in saving money on your car insurance? There’s another niche.

Some marketers claim that you should always, without a doubt, pick a topic that will

However, there’s nothing wrong with starting first with the topics that you are passionate

about or that you have personal experience with.


There are several parts of your life right now that could be good niches for your

business. You can gather ideas from your strengths, your specific knowledge, your

interests, your hobbies and those around you.

Try this out as an exercise. Start with a notepad and brainstorm ten to twenty different

activities you’ve completed in the last year. List your favorite hobbies, your last vacation

spot, the type of food you buy at the store, your biggest problem, your spouse’s interest,

your children’s hobbies, and your friend’s favorite thing….etc.

This list represents the things that are important to you and that interest you, or at least

this point; just write it down without judgment.

However, it is important to begin with a list of things that are familiar to you. It’s even

better if it’s something that you are really, truly passionate about. Passion can carry you

been proven time and time again that people work harder and are more likely to achieve

something when they are engaged emotionally.

The easiest way to get engaged emotionally with a project is to be passionate about the

of your passions are profitable or don’t know where to start with your niche research,

there are several different online resources you can use to find niche ideas.

Starting with existing marketplaces and selling platforms makes good sense. If you want

a best selling product, you’re better off going with something that is already selling

well.

By using these resources and finding a happy marriage between your interests and

what is already selling you can create a product that you’ll enjoy working on.

Here are the best places to find inspiration for your own products.

Clickbank Marketplace

Clickbank (located at http://www.clickbank.com) is one of the most popular

marketplaces for digital products. Merchants use Clickbank to streamline their affiliate

programs for ebooks, membership sites and software programs. They have been

servicing the Internet marketing community for more than 10 years.

You can browse the Clickbank marketplace without signing up for their free

membership, but it might be a good idea to do so.

Once you create your own product, you may want to list it in Clickbank. To look through

the existing product listings click on the “Marketplace” link in grey at the top of the

screen.

The marketplace is divided into different categories and several subcategories within

each category. Start your niche research by browsing through the marketplace in a

category that sparks your interest. Be sure that the option that says “sort” is set on

“Popularity.” This will give you a good idea of what is selling best in that niche.

Click “Go” and your results will load in their order of popularity. Besides the popularity

rank of the product, you’ll also want to pay attention to the percentage of sales from

referrals (abbreviated %refd) and the gravity (abbreviated grav). These two figures will

give you a clearer picture of how the product is performing.

The percentage referred is an easy enough number to understand. It represents how

many sales are being produced by affiliates of the product rather than the product

creator him or herself.

Why is this important for a potential product creator like yourself to know?

The simple answer is that if there is a large number of referred sales that means that

there is potentially a large affiliate population in that topic who will be willing to promote

your product.

If you know that a particular category of topics are getting a lot of attention from the

affiliates you can have confidence in creating your product.

Successful affiliates have very sophisticated ways of selecting products for promotion.

They aren’t going to waste their time with products that aren’t converting or products

that don’t have an in demand market.

The gravity number is not as simple as the percentage referred number to understand

because it is based on a formula known only to Clickbank.


Generally speaking, the higher the gravity number is, the better the product is doing in

terms of sales and affiliates referring buyers. Look for products that have a high gravity

score.

You can get additional data about the Clickbank marketplace from the CB Analytics site

(http://www.cb-analytics.com). This site is not associated with Clickbank but is often

easier to search than the official Clickbank marketplace.

The site has various metrics on Clickbank products, including the best performers and

brand new products categories. It can be worth a look if you’re writing down niche ideas.

While you are looking through the Clickbank marketplace, or any of the other resources

in this section, you should be writing down products that look interesting and niche

ideas.

Take a look at the sales pages for popular products to get the gist of what they are

offering.

Can you create a product that is complimentary to that product?

Is there room for a different take on the same niche?

How can you make your product distinctive and different?

Asking yourself these questions now will help you streamline your niche selection

process later on.

Write all of your ideas down so you’ll have several dozen niche ideas to investigate.

Think about how you can create a product that compensates for the gaps in popular

products out there. By coming up with a unique way to meet the needs of the same

market you’ll be able to make your mark on the niche.

PayDotCom is another digital marketplace that can be a good place to find niche ideas.

It’s located at www.paydotcom.com. You’ll need to have a free account in order to

analyze the marketplace completely. Without logging in, you’ll only get to shop the

marketplace which won’t give you much data you can work with.

Once you’ve logged in, click on the tab “promote products” and then click on “from

marketplace” to get access to the site as an affiliate.

The categories are listed in the middle of the page. Start with the top products link to

see what is best selling. You can also browse through the different categories based on

your interests.

Paydotcom has something similar to Clickbank’s gravity in the form of its Affiliate Power

Score (APS). The APS is displayed under each listing. When it comes to APS, the

higher the score is, the better.

Write down the top niches in each category you are considering entering. Make note of

the major themes of the sales letter and figure out if you can either compete directly with

the product or fill a gap that the product may be missing.

Warrior Forum WSO Section and Classified Ads Section

If you’re considering going into the Internet marketing niche, there’s no better place to

look that the Warrior Forum WSO section.

If you’re not familiar with the Warrior forum, it’s one of the most populated Internet

marketing forums online. The WSO section is located at

The WSO section is a great place to find Internet marketing related niches. You should

pay close attention to the forum for several days because new products are posted all of

the time.

The products are created by independent marketers who pay to have their product

featured in this section of the Warrior forum. Look for products that have a lot of

comments and thread activity.

Buyers normally post their reviews of the product right on the product thread. This can

be a great source of inspiration for ways that the concept can be improved upon.

For example, a buyer may state that they appreciated a product’s in depth training on

article marketing but felt that it skipped over how to use bio boxes. If you see comments

like this, take note because that area could make a good stand alone product.

packages are sold on the warrior forum, which are cheap articles or reports in high

demand niches. Looking at PLR offerings can give you a few non-IM niche ideas.

There are other sections of the Warrior Forum that are also prime places for finding

niche ideas. WSOs disappear after three weeks on the forum and are bumped down as

they are replaced by newer WSOs.

If marketers want their ads to stay on the forum indefinitely, they can pay for a Warrior

The same rules for WSOs apply to Classified Ads. Look through the listings and see

which topics seem to be popular. Read the threads to figure out where the original

product creator may have missed the mark or where you can use the same niche topic

that allows people to buy and sell complete websites. The websites can range from

content filled sites that have no traffic to five figure sites that make tons of money each

year.

When you arrive at the site, click “Buy a Website” to get access to the sites that are

currently for sale. You can browse through the listings as is (the site lists the newest

sites for sale first), but a better way to do it is to click on the “Just Sold” listings.

You’re not interested in buying anything so it makes sense to look at things that have

sold so you can get an idea of niches and how profitable they are.

By clicking on “Just Sold” take a look at the sites that have sold for $1,000 or more.

Chances are these sites have actually had traffic and income before being sold. It’s

better to take a look at these sites rather than the ones that are just built to flip. Sites

with some income stats behind them have been tested in the market and they will give

you a better sense of what you can expect from your product in the same niche.

Click on several different listings and read through the description of the website. Pay

close attention to the income section. This is where the seller explains how they are

making money with the site.

Take note of the best sellers in specific niche categories and take notes on the posted

reviews. You should be able to get a gist of what the main theme of each book is from

the summary and the reviews.

The reviews can help you uncover sub-niches or issues that haven’t been well covered

by the best-selling offer. Since the book is a best seller you can be sure that the niche is

ready for more information and that your book will do well.

Don’t forget to look at the Kindle books on Amazon as well! Kindle is a digital book
