your niche is undoubtedly your rudder. The niche that you select and use for your
marketing efforts will determine exactly where you go with your business.

servicing the Internet marketing community for more than 10 years.
You can browse the Clickbank marketplace without signing up for their free
membership, but it might be a good idea to do so.
Once you create your own product, you may want to list it in Clickbank. To look through
the existing product listings click on the “Marketplace” link in grey at the top of the
screen.
The marketplace is divided into different categories and several subcategories within
each category. Start your niche research by browsing through the marketplace in a
category that sparks your interest. Be sure that the option that says “sort” is set on
“Popularity.” This will give you a good idea of what is selling best in that niche.
Click “Go” and your results will load in their order of popularity. Besides the popularity
rank of the product, you’ll also want to pay attention to the percentage of sales from
referrals (abbreviated %refd) and the gravity (abbreviated grav). These two figures will
give you a clearer picture of how the product is performing.
The percentage referred is an easy enough number to understand. It represents how
many sales are being produced by affiliates of the product rather than the product
creator him or herself.
Why is this important for a potential product creator like yourself to know?
The simple answer is that if there is a large number of referred sales that means that
there is potentially a large affiliate population in that topic who will be willing to promote
your product.
If you know that a particular category of topics are getting a lot of attention from the

easier to search than the official Clickbank marketplace.
The site has various metrics on Clickbank products, including the best performers and

The categories are listed in the middle of the page. Start with the top products link to
see what is best selling. You can also browse through the different categories based on

Paydotcom has something similar to Clickbank’s gravity in the form of its Affiliate Power
Score (APS). The APS is displayed under each listing. When it comes to APS, the
higher the score is, the better.
Write down the top niches in each category you are considering entering. Make note of
the major themes of the sales letter and figure out if you can either compete directly with
the product or fill a gap that the product may be missing.

If you’re considering going into the Internet marketing niche, there’s no better place to

The WSO section is a great place to find Internet marketing related niches. You should

The products are created by independent marketers who pay to have their product

Buyers normally post their reviews of the product right on the product thread. This can

When you arrive at the site, click “Buy a Website” to get access to the sites that are
currently for sale. You can browse through the listings as is (the site lists the newest
sites for sale first), but a better way to do it is to click on the “Just Sold” listings.
You’re not interested in buying anything so it makes sense to look at things that have
sold so you can get an idea of niches and how profitable they are.
By clicking on “Just Sold” take a look at the sites that have sold for $1,000 or more.
Chances are these sites have actually had traffic and income before being sold. It’s
better to take a look at these sites rather than the ones that are just built to flip. Sites
with some income stats behind them have been tested in the market and they will give
you a better sense of what you can expect from your product in the same niche.
Click on several different listings and read through the description of the website. Pay
close attention to the income section. This is where the seller explains how they are
making money with the site.
