FROM MY HOUSE
TO YOURS
Dear Parishioners,
Over the summer and just this past month we
have had numerous windows broken as well as large con-
gregations of teenagers gathering and causing damage on
both of our parish properties; including our beloved
Churches.
These incidents have been reported to the Police
and the South Detective Division is conducting an inves-
tigation. I am pleading and asking you that if you observe
anyone on any of the Church/School premises to please
call 911 immediately. The Police believe that the vandal-
ism is happening when there is underage drinking in-
volved.
In order to maintain financial stability and a good
steward of your generosity to our parish family; I am
compelled to get the Police involved and have them han-
dle the vandalism and destruction of our parish buildings.
On a positive and spiritual note, next weekend we
will begin our 40 Hours devotions as a parish family. Im-
mediately following the 11:30 Mass on Sunday, October
16th the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed until after our
devotions at 7pm. It will then be exposed after the 8am
morning mass and remain exposed until after our devo-
tions at 7pm on Monday and Tuesday. I have asked Rev.
Steve DeLacy, Vocation Director for the Archdiocese, to
come and lead us in these devotions each night. I pray
that you can make some time to spend with the Lord over
those few days; and if you do and are able may they truly
be a blessing to you!
God Love Ya!
Fr. Reilly

Searching for Block Captains
In order to help spread the word of what a great parish we have here; I am looking for block captains who will take a few extra bulletins home with them and place them
in the neighbors doors.
You don't have to preach, explain or even talk about your faith. You are just letting you neighbors know that we, as a parish family, are happy to welcome them and we have many great ministries and services to offer them here. We are looking to begin this by the First Sunday of Ad-vent. If you feel that you are able to do this, sign ups will be next weekend after all the Masses. Thank you again
for all you do for making our parish a great one!!

A Word From
Pope Francis
The Christian heart is open,
always. It is not, therefore, a
heart that with-draws into its
own selfishness. Nor is it a
heart that sets limits, that counts: up to here,
up to there. When you enter into this light of
Jesus, when you enter into Jesus’ friendship,
when you let the Holy Spirit guide you, your
heart becomes open, magnanimous.
