Revelation Micro-Commentary A servant of the Lord Jesus Christ

Introduction After spending many years being blessed by the Book of Revelation, here are a few things I heard from the Lord. (You be the judge.) Originally, I only did one entry a chapter with maximum of 140 words each, but after doing the 22 chapters, thought to add a few more entries of interest. It is not a complete commentary but hopefully it will encourage others to receive the blessings guaranteed to them “that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” (Revelation 1:3)

REVELATION CHAPTER 1

Revelation 1:1a

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ…”

Every time you read the name of Jesus Christ in scripture, or one of his pronouns, you can associate it with his other name, “The Word of God “or the holy scriptures, “the word of God.” It still makes sense and maybe more sense. (Notice the W and w in the above sentence?) So, when we read in verse 1, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” we can think at the same time the Revelation of The Word of God and the Revelation of the word of God.

Heads up: The Book of Revelation reveals the past, present, and future, and documents what has gone on, what is going on, and what is going to go on at the same time! However, it is a sealed book to those on the outside. Are you in or are you out?

Revelation 1:3

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

Three important words: readeth, hear and keep. Do all three to be blessed by the Lord when it comes to the Revelation and all scripture.

“Readeth” with the eth means to continue to read, read, read. When you readeth you will begin to hear with understanding and to keep, or manage, those truths as good stewards of God’s mysteries. These spiritual gems are for you to invest like talents that a lord entrusted to his servants. (Matthew 25:14-40) Now is the time to read, hear, keep, and invest to be blessed!

Revelation 1:6

“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

The word hath means in the past. We are already kings and priests unto God. (You too, girls.)

How did the world treat Christ Jesus the King and High Priest of our faith? The Jew’s high priest greeted him with spits and hits; the Galilean tetrarch entertained him with mockery; the Judean governor stripped him naked, crowned him with thorns, and nailed and enthroned him on a cross; and soldiers offered him sour wine to quench his thirst while he died of Roman hospitality. They then presented him a scepter - into his heart. Now you know what the world really thinks of the King of kings and High Priest - and you too.

Revelation 1:7

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.”

♩♩♫Oh, we all won’t go out to meet him when he comes, when he comes For we will all be with himwhen he comes, when he comes♩♩♫

“And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean […] for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” (Revelation 19:14; 19:8b)

Only the living and dead unbelievers left on earth will be howling for their torments to come.

“Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:16-17)

Revelation 1:8

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

Who is the Almighty God?

Answer: The Alpha and Omega, the A to O in Greek; the A to Z in English; he who is The Word of God and the originator of languages. He is also known as Jesus Christ who created heaven and earth and all that therein is (Colossians 1:16-18), and made that point “in the beginning” with seven words, six times. “And God said […] and it was so.” (Genesis verses 6-7, 9, 11, 14-15, 24, 29-30) What the Lord Jesus Christ says is the way it is. Amen.

Revelation 1:10

“I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet…”

As John was praying, focusing his attention upward toward heaven, God was speaking through the church on earth behind him.

“And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks […] and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” The seven churches being the church of God. (Revelation 1:12 &20c)

Even an apostle may hear from someone through the church on earth, and get a Revelation of the word of God from the Word of God, to pass on to the rest of the church. Maybe from you; maybe from me.

Revelation 1:19

“Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter…”

John documented the status of things on earth and heaven where the confines of time do not apply. By limiting yourselves to things which John “hast seen” and “which are” to chapters 1 through 3, you miss out on a plethora of historical teachings from the beginning of time; an abundance of teachings on the present (history repeating itself over and over again); and a wealth of foretelling of future events.


Revelation 2:1a

“Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus…”

The Lord Jesus’ church is divided by only geographical locations; not by autonomous denominations and sub-denominations. He said, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.” (Luke 11:17) Likewise, the apostle Paul said, “Is Christ divided? […] For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?” (I Corinthians 1:13 […] I Corinthians 3:3)

Today, many of the tares (bound already in bundles) name themselves after men and religious doctrines, and not after Christ. However, the apostle’s doctrine has one foundation and one unifying authority: The Word of God and the word of God. Amen.

There is no need to join or start another church when you are already in the Lord Jesus’ church. (Matthew 13:24-30)

Revelation 2:4

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.”

The Ephesians did everything right (works, labor, had patience, and spiritual discernment) but they left their first love: the words of eternal life.

Think: When the Lord Jesus Christ saved you, you were so excited to become his you’d sit at his feet for hours, just like the disciples did when he was on earth. (Oh, you didn’t? Hmmm.) Listening to him was the first love of the first disciples as it is for all “born-againers” since.

Everyone is sure to eat several times a day from the ol’ food trough; however, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Once the bread of life becomes secondary, or optional in your life, you have fallen into the pigpen.

Revelation 2:6

“But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.”

God hates some people, “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated,” (Romans 9:13) and he hates all “righteous” deeds done in the name of someone else. You know, like, Pharisees, Sadducees, Herodians, Nicolaitanes, Wesleyans, Lutherans, and Mennonites. (Moreover, we haven’t gotten to doctrinal church names yet.)

Nicolas, whether alive or dead, had a following named after him, not unlike the aforementioned denominations, and this sort of subversion is addressed in scripture. If only those denominationalists hadn’t left the love of the word of God, maybe they wouldn’t have fallen away as they did. (I Corinthians Chapters 1&3)

Revelation 2:7

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

In the Revelation, the Lord refers seven times to “he that overcometh.”

Definition of overcometh: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” (I John 5:4-5)

If you aren’t an overcomer, you are only feasting on your imagination, and not from the tree of life, the word of God, "which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

Paradise is being in the Lord’s presence in earth or in heaven.

Revelation 2:9

“I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.”

Servants of the Lord own nothing because their Master and owner is Jesus Christ. If you have anything in your possession, the title is in God’s name and not yours. This was Smyrna’s poverty but they were spiritually rich. Many don’t understand this concept and think they are in favor with God because they are well off. (Revelation 3:17; Mark 10:17-27) They are good tithers, too: “10% for God and 90% for me. Whoopee!”

Jews who reject Messiah Jesus today actually attend the synagogue of Satan. Do you think there are those that say they are Christians, and are not, but are the church of Satan? Yep.

Revelation 2:10

“Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”

Christians are ear-tickled and told they will escape the “great tribulation.” Tribulations by God upon the world are not inflicted on believers but tribulations by the devil are inflicted on believers. Therefore, disciples of Jesus Christ are not excluded from being persecuted, tortured, and killed.

“If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you.” (John 15:20b)

“These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:14)

Christians come out of great tribulation because they are in great tribulation.

Revelation 2:13

“I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.”

We all dwell in Satan’s seat (his throne), and Satan’s kingdom (the world), and are engaged in a battle. The M.I.A.s (Martyred In Action) go to heaven and receive a crown instead of a purple heart.

“And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.”

(1Peter 5:4)

Who is a martyr? Anyone having no sin imputed unto them and murdered by the devil’s bunch. Furthermore, after Satan kills the saints by whatever method he can, God straightway sends them to heaven. Therefore, even the destroyer can be used for God’s plan and our good.

Revelation 2:14a

“But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam.”

Balaam’s doctrine stealthily destroyed God’s people by sowing carnal practices into the church in the wilderness. Today’s Balaamites promote their own doctrines by leaving Jesus Christ’s apostolic authority to start their own churches.

“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” (I John 2:19)

In America, most of these “not all of us” churches are the 501(C)3 non-prophet (Spelling is Correct) State Churches where Balaam’s baloney is served regularly.

On pretend Christians…

“…whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.” (Philippians 1:18)

Revelation 2:14b

“But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.”

Examples: False Christianity using “missionary dating” to lure the righteous into intimate fellowship with the unrighteous; to enter business agreements and investments with the wicked; and to enter into contracts, such as marriage, with idol worshipers (those who are outside the spiritual body of Christ). (II Corinthians 6:14-18)

Today, God is commanding his church to come out of such relationships because many are still in such relationships!

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” (II Corinthians 6:17)

“Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:4)

Revelation 2:15

“So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.”

The Nicolaitanes named themselves after their pet theologian but not after Christ; Balaam’s followers name themselves after a pet doctrine but not after Christ. Both, however, are of the same spirit.

Example: The denomination called, “Baptist” are named after “John Baptist” as Baptist it is used two times in scripture as a surname.

“When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?” (Luke 7:20)

“And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.” (Matthew 14:8)

Today’s Baptists also emphasize water baptism over the Lord Jesus Christ who “shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.” (Luke 3:16)

Revelation 2:17

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna…”

There is feasting on the fruit of the tree of Life, the word of God, which is the written scripture on the page. Then there is feasting on the hidden manna, written on the invisible backside of the page, with deeper depths to relish. “And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.” (Revelation 5:1)

Some, who call themselves Christians, are very good at regurgitating whatever they have been fed by another, right or wrong. However, only the born of God can be served, eat, and digest the supernatural nutritious hidden manna.

Revelation 2:20

“Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.”

There are no women apostles, pastors, or teachers in God’s church. Some, however, are prophetesses (Luke 2:36; Acts 21:9) but not of Jezebel’s ilk: who usurp Christ’s apostolic authority; whose husbands are false Christians; who paint their faces and tire their heads (II Kings 9:30), and are secret agents for Satan by injecting Balaam’s doctrine into the church. A good reason for no women teachers in God’s church, but there might be some in your church.

“Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” (I Timothy 2:12)

Revelation 2:26

“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations…”

We shall rule and reign with the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, for we are Christ’s kings and priests.

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation 5:10)

You may ask, “If we don’t rule and reign as kings and priests on earth now, who will we rule and reign over in eternity?”

Answer: The rebellious imprisoned in the lake of fire. This, however, takes no time at all for us, because they will just be simmering on the back burner for ever, out of sight and out of mind, while we glory in the court of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.


Revelation 3:1a

“And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars…”

Some of the sevens in Revelation:

Seven golden candlesticks = the seven churches of God = God’s church. Seven stars = the seven messengers of God = God’s messenger.

Seven eyes = the seven eyes of God = God’s omnipresence. Seven trumpets = the seven rebukes of God = God’s rebuke. Seven vials = the seven wraths of God = God’s wrath.

Seven heads, crowns & horns = the beast = God’s adversary.

Calculate: There were seven literal churches = seven church types = God’s church past, present, and future.

Others sevens = churches, spirits, stars, Spirits of God, lamps, seals, angels, thunders, plagues, mountains, kings.

If you only literalize the finite number seven, you’ll miss an infinity of teachings. Do the math.

Revelation 3:1

“And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.”

Can a church fellowship have a reputation of being alive and dead at the same time?

Yes, they can be like the scrubby Bristlecone Pines that live for thousands of years but scarcely look alive. The bark dies on large areas of the tree but small connective courses of living bark continue to keep it alive. Truly, they are alive and dead at the same time; the dead wood helping to support the living bark. This is like deadwood pew warmers - also known as pew potatoes - support some of the living born again church members.

Revelation 3:3b

“If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”

When the Lord takes you home, you may be fit or frail, figure you’ll see your grandchildren grow up, take that planned trip to Europe, and/or watch another football game. However, in reality, you’ll take your last breath on earth and the next one in heaven at any moment! Are you ready to meet the Lord?

Orders from headquarters…

“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.” (Mark 13:33)

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41)

“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” (Mark 13:37)

Revelation 3:5

“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

To confess, profess, and acknowledge openly and joyfully works both ways when the Lord confesses you.

“Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God…” (Luke 12:8)

“Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God…” (I John 4:2)

The unbelieving are defined below. (To be forewarned is to be forearmed about some you know and associate with.)

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.” (I John 2:22)

Revelation 3:6

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”

This expression is used in regards to all seven churches and relevant to the church today if you have an ear to hear. By the way, of the seven churches, only two passed with flying colors: Smyrna in tribulation

and poverty, and Philadelphia of little strength. If we cannot classify our church (or ourselves) in those, then we are in one of the others, and the Lord Jesus commanded the other five to “repent.” Look out!

Revelation 3:9

“Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”

If you are a synagogue-patronizing Jew and do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Messiah, you attend and are a member of a satanic bunch of liars.

And, if you believers thought Rome was "THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Revelation 17:5), think again. Remember, Satan was in Jerusalem, not Rome, when he possessed Judas Iscariot and moved Jerusalem’s governments and the Jews’ religion to crucify the Lord Jesus Christ. Holy Land? Jerusalem is the only city characterized by the word of God as “Sodom and Egypt.” (Revelation 11:8)

Revelation 3:12

“Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.”

Many temporal kings, queens, and politicians cannot give up their prestigious positions no matter how old and sickly they become. Christians, on the other hand, as kings and priests unto God, are like permanent memorial pillars in God’s temple. They also have a “spiritual passport” with the name of the new Jerusalem on it (not the old earthly Jerusalem) and have God’s name (the seal of his approval) written in their foreheads. (Revelation 7:3; 9:4; 14:1; 22:4)

Revelation 3:14

“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God…”

The only faithful and true witness is the Lord Jesus Christ, the author of the Holy Scriptures. Amazingly, the “grandiose ones” sell their words to the church in contrast to the superior one’s word of God, which is freely given to us.

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely […] And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say,

Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” (Revelation 21:6; 22:17)

Revelation 3:16

“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

Laodicea is a church of God in name only and the Lord Jesus is not the center of their attention. They are well off in the things of this world but not in their stewardship. Therefore, they are not servants to God, and yet, the merciful Lord Jesus Christ gives them place to repent.

If you think America is a Christian nation, and not mostly lukewarm Laodiceans, ask yourself why Fornicators, Abortionists, and Globalists (F.A.Gs) run rampant. If God does not palate you well, you are distasteful and poison puke to him.

“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” (I John 5:19)

Revelation 3:19

“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”

When the Lord Jesus commands, “be zealous” it is not optional for believers. He might have spoken this characteristic into us like he spoke light into the universe, “Let there be light: and there was

light.” (Be zealous therefore: and there was zeal.) True or not, it is hard to imagine a Christian cannot have great zeal about his Saviour in everyday expression. This is unlike the old Christian who told the new Christian, “You’re excited now but it will wear off and you’ll be just like the rest of us.” Like what? Dead?

Many, who are unrestrained sports fanatics six days of the week, turn into pew (pee-yew) paddies on the Lord ’s Day.

Revelation 3:21

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

Folks, we’re already on the throne as he hath/has already set us there.

“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:5-6)

Therefore, when we "shuffle off this mortal coil" we will simply continue on with the Lord Jesus Christ, where all of heaven is his throne.

“Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool.” (Isaiah 66:1; Acts 7:49)


Revelation 4:1c

“Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”

John’s earthly perspective of the church abruptly concludes and he is catapulted into eternity for spiritual details from heaven’s viewpoint. For 2,000 years, we have been in the “hereafter” as history repeats itself over and over again until “there should be time no longer” and “It is done.” Think the mark of the beast isn’t here yet? If one’s conscious mind only savourest the things of men, and/or the hand only labors for those things, one has the spiritual mark of the beast in their forehead and hand already. And if you believe the church is “raptured” here - put ear-tickling into practice. Tear out Chapters 4-22 and enjoy having no great tribulations, now, or, for the rest of your life, thanks to John Darby’s 1830 doctrine of the pre-tribulation rapture.

Revelation 4:2

“And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.”

The word Trinity is not in scripture though Godhead is. (Bible isn’t in the Bible, either.) And hasn’t God revealed himself, not as a finite trinity, but as an incalculable infinity?

Chapter 4 recognizes all in heaven worshipping the one on the throne and then the transition in chapter 5 to worship the Lord Jesus Christ. The one on the throne and the Lord Jesus Christ are the same one and why the Pharisees wanted to stone him.

“Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him […] for blasphemy; because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.” (John 10:31; 33b)

However, a man had not made himself God, but God had made himself a man: the one and the same.

Revelation 4:4

“And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.”

The four and twenty elders could represent the twelve Old Testament patriarchs and twelve New Testament apostles. However, more importantly, they represent the church, the body of Christ, past, present, and future.

My wife had an additional insight: The church is attentively worshipping and serving the Lord 24-hours day, whether in earth or in heaven. Matthew, Mark, and Luke’s gospels used the Hebrew 12-hour day/12-hour night method, but John, the Revelator in his gospel, used the Roman 24-hour day.

Sleep when you must, but your brethren somewhere else are worshipping and serving the Lord while you slumber, whether they are in heaven above or in the earth beneath.

Revelation 4:5

“And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.”

Mystery solved for scientists! Lightning comes from heaven, the seven Spirits of God, the Holy Spirit, who is manifesting and talking to the world below.

Once, I went out in the dark of early morning to sit on the porch swing, like a sports fan watching our Father’s lightning storm pass over until it lit and cracked terrifyingly close. I scampered back into the house for safety, realizing I had been a little flippant about observing the powerful hand of God. And, believe me, I saw the light and heard him distinctly. Sometimes, though, the Lord whispers from far away when illuminating a subject.

P.S. “Puns are the highest forms of literature” and are italicized for some in this entry.

Revelation 4:6

“And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind."

The origin of the word of God, the pure living water, is found in heaven’s crystal clear and uncontaminated sea of glass. This is God’s watering hole and where the four beasts (the angelic representatives) gather at the throne, as do the four and twenty elders. In the eternal realm, these celestial critters have a great view of the before and behind (the future and the past) as we also can through the Book of Revelation.

“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” (Revelation 22:1)

Revelation 4:7

“And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.”

The beasts are angels/messengers of God: to the carnivores on earth represented by the lion; herd animals by the calf; primates including the unsaved by the beast with the face of a man (perhaps there is some truth that certain individuals are a monkey’s uncle); and the fowls by the flying eagle. There are also no bugs, reptiles or other cold-blooded/hearted beasts mentioned in heaven, or viruses, for that matter. The vile things in this life shall be put away from us forever.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

Revelation 4:8

“And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”

Being in eternity since their creation, the beasts have three pairs of wings and can travel in the past, the present, and the future at the Lord’s direction, as they live where time does not exist - heaven. In addition, being highly intelligent, they are full of eyes within, having some understandings of the mysteries of God. Consequently, knowing some of the inside scoop and the character of the Lord, they proclaim unceasingly that God is “Holy, holy, holy.” How much do we reflect our Father’s character? I don’t know if anyone would give me one third the acknowledgment.

Revelation 4:9-10

“And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne…”

The four and twenty elders, who represent the church, take the beasts’ leading when to worship the Lord; casting their crowns before his throne, and acknowledging where our kingships come from. Do you follow their leading? Sometimes I think I‘m too old to “fall down” and worship much anymore. Maybe not. Better try. (Have you ever noticed, while praying in the prone position, your thoughts are more focused than lying in bed or in a La-Z-Boy recliner? (Lazy-boy. Ha!)

Revelation 4:11

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

Reading this, I always think how the Lord created our pets for his pleasure - and ours too. Since my little doggy boy Moses died August 17, 2017, I find it difficult to believe that such a fine and an intelligent creature cannot be in heaven. Yesterday - coincidently not - I realized more so, that Moses was actually the Lord’s doggy boy, and he gave him to me to be my constant friend, and in my care for 13 years.

Thank you, Lord.


Revelation 5:1

“And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.”

Revelation is a book of mysteries and locked shut with God’s seal. You can read it all you want; buy books about it, and go to Sunday school to become a parrot, and squawk theories right or wrong. However, you cannot get the Revelation of the word of God from The Word of God unless you are a son of God.

The Book of Revelation and all scripture has spiritual writing on the visible page, “the tree of life” and Spiritual writing on the invisible backside of the page, “the hidden manna.”

John wept much desiring to open, read, and understand the book. How about you?

Revelation 5:4

“And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.”

As a new believer, one can be perplexed about the Book of Revelation, and pine away wanting to understand. Others, however, would rather work a crossword puzzle, computer game, or other brainteasers to amuse themselves than understand what is important today, yesterday, and tomorrow. In addition, some folk will counsel you out of getting the revelations on Revelation, and solemnly pronounce, “Who can understand it?” However, John received the revelations on Revelation because he desired good things from the Lord.

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” (Matthew 7:11)

Revelation 5:6

“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.”

In the midst, the center, the focal point of everything in heaven and all creation, stands the slain Lamb, our Lord Jesus Christ! He has seven horns, the power of the Almighty God; and the all-seeing, all-present seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, the Holy Ghost. The transition of our understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ as God’s Son, to being God himself, begins and ends in this chapter.

“If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.” (John 14:7)

Revelation 5:8

“And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.”

Here, we do not see the Lamb, Jesus Christ, prostrate and worshiping he who sits upon the throne, but we do see everyone else in heaven worshipping the Lamb. So why did the Son prostrate and worship the Father when he was on earth? Simple: The whole time on earth, he was showing us the way to do things like a good parent shows their child by example.

Harps ( kithara in Greek) is where we get our word guitar from, is an instrument in heaven and why so many like to play it today – for the Lord or for the devil.

Revelation 5:9a

“And they sung a new song…”

In a small weekly prayer meeting in a Nazarene Sanctuary, all of us, ironically, spoke in tongues. Once, as we began to spontaneously sing in tongues, it crescendoed into a choral piece we never heard before. It was the most beautiful sound ever heard as we effortlessly, in heavenly harmonies, were directed by the Lord’s hand. Ironically, also, while praying for revival in the sanctuary, the church had Halloween parties with witches and ghosts, and later, Satan Claus to celebrate the Lord’s birth in their fellowship hall. If you knew what Merry Christ-Mass means, you wouldn’t use the phrase. I’m starting to say Maranatha this year at the holiday season: The Lord has come - born a babe and is coming again - as the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Revelation 5:11

“And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands…”

How many angels? For those who got a D in Mrs. Eads’ geometry class, that’s 10,000 x 10,000 x 1,000’s x 1,000’s again (an incalculable number?) and probably too big for me (her former student) or anyone else to comprehend. In other words, heaven is chock-full of praising people along with other creatures. So, avoid the learning curve when you get to glory by praising the Lord in your spare time now. Hallelujah!

Revelation 5:12

“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.”

This is similar to Revelation 4:11 where such accolades are directed to he who sits upon the throne, the Creator, God. The Lamb, Jesus Christ, is also defined as the Creator, God.

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him…” (Colossians 1:16)

“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:3) Do the math: God = the Creator = the Word of God = Jesus Christ.

Revelation 5:13

“And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.”

Everything and everyone worships God and the Lamb as the one and the same. “I and my Father are one.” (John 10:30) God expressed and birthed his Word in the beginning and there was light. Later, God expressed and birth his Word in the flesh and there was Light.

“No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” (John 1:18) Jesus Christ has revealed God the Father fully to us.


Revelation 6:1

“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.”

The seal of God on this book was opened 2,000 years ago and the four horsemen (first four seals) have been galloping ever since.

1. White Horse = Wars of Intimidation

2. Red Horse = Wars of Armies

3. Black Horse = Wars of Economics

4. Pale Horse = Wars of Stealth

The other two seals were opened also.

5. Persecution of the church

6. The fearful awaiting the day of judgment because their time is short.

When you “Come and see” when the six seals are opened, then the seventh seal is loosed, and the Holy Ghost teacher can show us what is happening on earth, right now and in the future.

Revelation 6:2

“And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”

The first of four horsemen traversing the earth (North, South, East, and West) is galloping around the world today, trying to portray himself as a "King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords." (Revelation 19:11-16) He conquers his neighbors by wars of intimidation and is well armed and ready to go to the next step, wars of armies, if need be.

Some depicted on white horses = Napoleon, Mussolini, Hirohito, Saddam Hussein, and others you wouldn’t suspect.

Revelation 6:4

“And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”

These are the wars of armies with bloody (red) military (sword) conflicts. Easterly, from Istanbul to Japan, an army of over 200,000,000 can be fielded today. The majority of the kings (plural) of the east and their subjects are anti-Christ religions and at war with the world now.

“And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.” (Revelation 9:15-16)

Revelation 6:5-6

“And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”

Wars of economics are ploys to control nations, stiffing some, while others grow richer during “hard times.” Example: The black horseman manipulated the too-big-to-fail banks where nobody was hung for the Great Recession of 2008-9.

“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal…” (Matthew 16:20)

Revelation 6:7-8

“And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”

Unnoticed wars of stealth are going on now by he who comes “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” (John 10:10a) Here, the pale horseman, followed by death, wars with the sword of domestic homicides, hunger by famines, death by diseases, and beasts by animals. In contrast, Jesus Christ said…

“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10b)

Revelation 6:9-10

“And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held…”

Another picture of the church past, present, and future reveals the saints (that be us) slain for the word of God, as is prophesied…

"As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” (Romans 8:36)

“And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.” (Revelation 11:7)

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12:11)

Revelation 6:11

“And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”

Most Christians think they are excluded from this prophecy, but if your sins are all forgiven and forgotten, how can you die now that you are without sin? Answer: Same way Satan could murder Jesus Christ. It was illegal to kill him as it is illegal to kill you. However, the devil is not concerned about legalities. After all, he is a career criminal.

Revelation 6:12a & 14b

“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake […] and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.”

Looking from Liberty Park, 1/2 mile across the Hudson River to the World Trade Center in the 90s, I knew from the above scripture, if mountains and islands were going to move out of their places, the Twin Towers were coming down one day. When I told my friends this, they thought I was crazy. I guess it was just coincidence they did fall, and within one hour of each other. (September 11, 2001, 9:59-10:28 a.m.)

Interestingly, the Twin Towers was a vertical city with their own Zip code, 10048, and employed 50,000 people.

“Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.” (Revelation 18:10)

Revelation 6:15-17

“And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”

No one is without excuse for rejecting Jesus Christ because God makes a way for those who want to know him. It’s like the “Re-education” prisoner in Vietnam who emptied the warden’s chamber pot where the Bible was used for toilet paper. He washed the pages clean, read them and got saved.


Revelation 7:3

“Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”

Before the seven trumpets sound (the world’s wakeup call) the Lord’s servants are sealed in their foreheads. It seems, however, everyone is preoccupied with the beast’s mark in the forehead, but not

God’s spiritual seal of approval in their forehead - the conscious part of their brain. This seal is God’s name, Jesus Christ: the one who dominates our lives as our lives revolve around him. (Revelation 3:12) How about you?

For those who recite the commandment but do not know the answer to “the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”- it is Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20)

“And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.” (Revelation 22:4)

Revelation 7:4, Part 1 of 2

“Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”

Know about the mark of the beast in the forehead? Know about God’s name and his city’s name in the forehead of believers, the conscious part of their brain?

“…and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.” (Revelation 3:12b, c)

“And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.” (Revelation 22:3-4)


“And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.”

Rise above the literal interpretation and see that the 144,000 represents the body of Christ past, present, and future, as is the seven churches of God, twenty four elders, twelve tribes of Israel, and even where two or three gathered together in the name of Jesus Christ. When you begin to see yourself in Revelation as part of God’s church and body, a whole new dimension of revelation will open up to you.

Revelation 7:9

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands…”

The church here, the “great multitude” is not separated by favorite preachers, doctrines, or denominations. (I Corinthians 1:10-13; 3:1-6) If asked, “What is your religion?” Do you name Christ, as in Christian, or some other name: Baptist, Methodist, Roman Catholic? Is The Word of God your authority; or The Word of God and/or your articles of faith, or another authority?

Based on Matthew 6:24’s principle, you cannot serve two teachers: for you will hate the one and love the other, or you will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and your denomination. Especially 501(c)3 state churches.

Revelation 7:13-14, Part 1/2

“And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”

The church past, present, and future comes out of great tribulation because they are in great tribulation. However, some attend The First Church of the Tickling Ear, where taking up the cross and following Christ to the great tribulation of crucifixion means wearing the same outfit twice in a row, or not keeping up with the Schicklgrubers.

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” (Matthew 16:24)

Revelation 7:13-14, Part 2/2

“These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”

The blood of Christ makes white - not red.

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)

Satan’s favorite color is red because he is red, and he loves to shed blood, especially the saints’ blood. What is your favorite color?

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon…” (Revelation 12:3)

“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus...” (Revelation 17:6)

Hey, how about those Roman Catholic cardinals?



“And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.”

Listen: You won’t have much revealed by the Lord until the seven seals, the seal of God, is opened to you personally. And after you know what is happening here and now, the rest will come, by and by.

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” (Revelation 1:3)

Continue to read, understand, and apply the prophetic truths; grabbing the timely revelations at hand, even as you grabbed and entered into the kingdom of heaven when your timely salvation was at hand.

“Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17)

“Blessed is he that readeth” specifically applies to The Book of Revelation and all scripture.


“And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.”

These are some types of time references in scripture: the twinkling of an eye, an hour, a week, and a year, which are all used, literally, like similes, and metaphors. After the seven seals are opened, there is a pause before the seven trumpets sound, the trump of God. This is the wake-up call, the alarm after sin entered the world. If you have the seal(s) opened to you, there is a brief transition, the length of a half-hour television program, before going on to understand the rest of the book.

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (I Corinthians 15:52

Revelation 8:2

“And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.”

Are the seven trumpets (the trumpet of God) and the last trump the same? For some, it precedes the wrath of God, and to others, the return of the Lord Jesus Christ with the saints. It’s all a matter of perspective. Can you hear the trumpet blowing now whose sounding will end at any moment?

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (I Corinthians 15:52)

“And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:31)

Revelation 8:3

“And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.”

Your prayers are a pleasing sweet aroma to the Lord and are generated by your love toward him. Some only pray aloud when others are present, “Rub-a-dub-dub, thanks for the grub.” Others only pray in their mind – where nobody’s home. And others pray out loud even in secret, because, they know by faith who is there with them. Your sweetest fragrance to the Lord, I think, are the prayers you pray for someone else, or, for the whole body of Christ.

“Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.” (Acts 10:4b)

Revelation 8:4-5

"And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.”

As the saints pray and bless the Lord with prayers, there is a reaction from heaven to those who do not. These verses also explain where lightning and earthquakes come from – God’s throne. (Revelation 4:5; 11:19; 16:18)

So, if you think lightning, thunder, and earthquakes are only natural phenomena, think again. And if you cannot hear the still small voice of the Lord, he may have to talk to you louder than you like. Flash! Bang! Rock and Roll!

Revelation 8:7

“The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.”

Most think the sounding of the seven trumpets, the trumpet of God, is a solitary drawn-out note, forgetting that God is the Master Composer. Perhaps he can do better than a child tooting on a toy as each trumpet movement conducts and guides us into the mysteries of God.

When sin entered into the world, the whole physical and spiritual environment was violently shaken. And like hard-hitting hail, it bombarded earth and man: lightning struck and ignited the trees and conscience, and death followed. (Genesis 3) The same warning is going on today. Do you hear the trumpet blowing?

Revelation 8:8-9

“And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.”

Satan’s government is likened to seven mountains (Revelation 7:9); and governments, like mountains, can be destroyed in short order by natural or manmade catastrophes. Some living at the feet of Vesuvius, Pompeii, and Etna were here one day and gone the next. Also, exploding wars of violence sunk the governments of Russia in 1917, and Germany and Japan in 1945, into the sea of humanity.

These were just a few of the major movers and shakers of the recent past. Do you hear the trumpet blowing?

Revelation 8:10-11

“And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood…”

The Lord Jesus recounted, while on heaven’s throne…

“I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” (Luke 10:18)

The burning and falling star called Wormwood, is Satan himself, who was expelled from heaven. And Wormwood’s spirit, like falling cinders of slanderous sin, contaminates the pure living water of the Lord. (John 4:10; 7:38; Revelation 7:17) Many are fouled by Wormwood’s words today.

“For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” (II Corinthians 2:17)

Do you hear the trumpet blowing?

Revelation 8:12

“And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.”

Bible corruption diminishes the “Sun of Righteousness” and “light of the world,” God’s word. (Malachi 4:2, John 8:12) Copyrighting a “new translation” means altering the text enough to create a spurious Bible. The word of God, however, is not copyrighted because it is already permanently preserved.

“The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” (Psalm 12:6-7)


Revelation 8:13

“And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!”

The first love message of John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus Christ was, “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17, Mark 1:15) It was, and is, the trumpet sounding to admonish one to turn from sin and then turn to God. However, the first four trumpet warnings in Revelation Chapter 8 are very harsh, and the “Woe, woe, woe” warning for the last three trumpets notes the intensity of the grief, grief, grief to follow the unrepentant.

Do you hear the trumpets blowing?


Revelation 9:1

“And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.”

Possibly this is another fallen angel who unlocks the bottomless pit where devils are reserved for God’s judgment in the last day(s).

“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” (Jude 6)

The last days are here!

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things…” (Hebrews 1:1-2) (Acts 2:17, II Timothy 3:1, James 5:3, II Peter 3:3)


Revelation 9:2

“And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.”

I wonder if the flood in Noah’s day submerged and buried in the mud, not only the wicked people and animals, but the devils that possessed them. And now, as man pumps oil out of the ground, the remains of those sunken ancient organisms turned into petroleum, are burned as fuel, creating smoke, smog, and other destructive pollutants. And as a result, hordes of devils are aerated and unfettered again to oppress, possess, and create spiritual darkness for their king “the prince of the power of the air.” (Ephesians 2:2)

Revelation 9:3-4

“And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.”

Cold-blooded critters may not be in heaven but spiritual locusts/scorpions come from the bottomless pit. However, they cannot hurt those with God’s holy seal of approval on them (heaven’s “passport”) for God’s name is written in the conscious part of their forehead/brain. (Revelation 7:3; 9:4; 14:1; 22:4) The passport also has the name of the new Jerusalem on it; not the name of Sodom and Egypt‘s Jerusalem located in Israel today. (Revelation 11:8)

Revelation 9:6

“And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.”

Many may be attacked physically, spiritually, and mentally by devil locusts, stinging like scorpions. And those who are tormented and dying physically can be medicated into oblivion until dead. Did you know, some people are oversedated in their last days with opiates for anxiety, and are, consequently, killed by their physicians who will later sign a sham death certificate? Their doctors comfort and put them to “sleep” as a veterinarian does to an unwanted or hopelessly sick pet. This is murder, legal or not legal.

Revelation 9:7-8

“And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.”

Swarms of locust (devils) are like exhilarated steads that have been used by cavalries for thousands of years to carry men into bloody battles. These toothy buggers wear crowns representing their kingships in this world; and yet, like submissive longhaired women, they are servants and helpers to Satan their chief king. They also work behind the faces of men who are not submissive to Christ. (I Corinthians 11:3) One either serves the Lord Jesus Christ or serves the devil – period – whatever religion one claims.

Revelation 9:9-10

“And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.”

These devils have defensive spiritual armor likened unto iron and differ from offensive breastplates of fire in upcoming verse 17. Interestingly, some devils can be cast out even by an unbeliever using the name of Jesus Christ (Mark 9:38); but devils with breastplates of iron may need other considerations.

“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17:21)

The NIV (New International Version) and TLB (The Living Bible) omit “fasting” and/or the whole verse in fighting devils, as in the above, and in Mark 9:29 and I Corinthians 7:5. Who’s behind scripture omissions?

Revelation 9:13-15

“And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.”

Killer angels are loosed to the four corners of the earth from the Euphrates River in modern-day Iraq. Any coincidence here? Interestingly, there are hordes of antichrist Muslim spirits invading the world since the Iraq War began, and the fading light of Christianity in the West has brought about a vacuum being filled by evil: Fornicators, Abortionists, Globalists (FAG’s).


Revelation 9:16

“And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.”

Everyone points out that China can field an army of 200,000,000 men and forgets India can as well. Also, there are billions of antichrists east of Istanbul where the east begins. (Revelation 16:12) All the false religions of the world could field an army of several 100’s of millions today just in the east, not to mention all over the world!

Revelation 9:17-18

“And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.”

They say the best defense is an offense. Perhaps defensive/offensive breastplates of fire are used by devils who pre-emptively strike men spiritually, mentally, and physically. These satanic riders are like the Medes overtaking Babylon, the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor, and the out-of-the-blue attacks on 911. And probably whoever strikes first in the future with fiery nuclear missiles wins the war.

Revelation 9:19

“For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.”

Satan is portrayed as a serpent and his body is made up of the other devils: the body of the antichrist. Satan is the head where the mouth and fangs of poison are, but the rest of his body, the tail, works together with the head and is just as hurtful and lethal.

Revelation 9:20-21

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”

Roman Catholics don’t think they worship idols and neither do the Protestants – but most do. If they were told the image, mark, name, or number of the beast was in their sanctuary, and sat there and thought about it, they might figure it out. However, that figuring would drastically alter their lives, friends, and conscience, because most would rather remain in denial on the broad road than to know the narrow truth. (Matthew 7:13)


Revelation 10:1-2

“And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:”

Guess who...

“Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.” (Psalm 97:2)

“And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne…” (Revelation 4:3)

“And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.” (Revelation 1:16)

“And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace…” (Revelation 1:15)

Revelation 10:2-3

“And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.”

I like to think this little book is the Book of Revelation, which was sealed and unsealed for John (and us), by he who holds the title deed to land and sea – the Lord Jesus Christ. When Christ “hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword,” seven cracks and rumbles follow, the thunder of God. God's thunder warns some and comforts others, depending on whose side you are on.

Revelation 10:4

“And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.”

John knew what the thunders meant, but not allowed to write it down as scripture, because it is meant for only those who could receive it by the Holy Ghost teacher.

“I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…” (Revelation 16:12-13)

This is like parents talking in a foreign language to each other so the child cannot understand; unless, the child is taught the meaning of the words.

Revelation 10:5-6

“And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer…”

Who swears?

“For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself…” (Hebrews 6:13)

Time: There is no time in eternity so there is no longer time once you arrive. Also, all things were accomplished by the sixth day of creation and everything was a “done deal.” You were either in or out of the Lord before you were conceived but the devils were ever out.

Revelation 10:7

"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets."

When we are finally caught up to heaven, the mystery of God shall be known and finished. In other words, the why and how the Lord had to create us in time to bring us into eternity with him. And then again, maybe that will not be necessary.

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” (I Corinthians 13:12)

Revelation 10:8-9

“And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.”

Some truths of God are dispensed like a sugarcoated medicine pill. If the bitter truth were not coated, the medicine wouldn’t be taken. Here, Revelation’s sugarcoated truth is easily swallowed by the believer because it would be hard to swallow otherwise. One bitter truth to swallow is to take up your cross and follow Christ to Calvary.

Revelation 10:10

“And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.”

The end of the gospel story is the victory of Christ’s resurrection and our sins being forgiven; but the procedure of getting there was through the crucifixion.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)

When John perceived the sweet victory of The Revelation, he understood it was by the bitter taking up of the cross, getting in line, and following the Lord to Calvary – this includes all of us.

Revelation 10:11

“And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”

Just when John thought his ministry was finished here on earth, and was soon going to heaven, he found out he probably had much more to do – a “grand finale.” In Revelation Chapter 11, we get a picture of his departure with the rest of the body of Christ. Remember: It ain’t over until it’s over, folks. YOU CAN'T GO UNTIL THE LORD SAYS SO.


Revelation 11:1-2

“And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.”

The temple of God has precise measurements, as the body of Christ has a defined number of members. This membership, calculated by John, is an exact and stable number, which is unlike the hairs on your head, which fluctuate every day. However, the temple of God - the church past, present, and future - never changes, and there is no need to keep track of the devil’s boys, as they are not worth counting in the first place.

Revelation 11:8

“And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.”

Today, what is called “The Holy Land” is revealed by God to be the unholy city and nation of “Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified” Jerusalem, Israel. Think: Jerusalem was the only place on earth where God’s Son was murdered, and it is the mother of all phony faiths; the place dominated by the three false religions of Judaism, heretical Christianity, and Islam. Holy Land? Now you know why there is a new Jerusalem. (Revelation 3:12, 21:2)

Revelation 11:9-10

“And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.”

The devil’s boys celebrated the crucifixion of Christ like a Christmas and will celebrate the murdering of the two witnesses in like manner. 2000 years ago, after killing Jesus, they merrily mocked the Lord’s Supper by ingesting (they claimed) his literal body and blood, as practiced by in the Roman Catholic Church today. The Eucharist, the Christ Mass, depicts the killing of Christ over and over again, thousands of times daily, which is Satan’s “Joy to the World.”

Revelation 11:11-12

“And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.”

The first ascension to heaven was of Christ’s body.

“And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.” (Acts 1:9)

The disciples watched Jesus Christ taken up to heaven; plus, thousands of devils who realized their plans to thwart the resurrected Son of God being crowned King of kings. When you die and ascend to heaven, it is another insult to the devil’s boys.

Revelation 11:14-15

“The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”

The seventh and final trumpet of God warns of the judgment and the seven vials of wrath to follow. This is the third and final woe, and the worst kind of grief of being thrown into the lake of fire with the devil, the beast, and false prophet - forever. Do you hear the trumpet blowing? Do you hear the seven trumpets blowing?

Revelation 11:19

“And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.”

Many people wonder where is Noah’s Ark, and Moses’ Ark of the Covenant, and are trying to find them. Well, better than the arks Noah and Moses built, is the eternal and priceless ark in heaven, that ark

called “Christ.” When you enter into the Lord Jesus Christ, you are forever safe and secure from all alarm, and taken care of better than you could take care of yourself. Amen!

“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” (John 10:9)


Revelation 12:1

“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars…”

The Roman Catholics like to limit this verse to a depiction of Mary the mother of Jesus. However, this verse, more importantly, is a picture of the Lord’s church. The church is clothed with the “Sun of righteousness” (not “Son” Malachi 4:2). She also has the ruler of the darkness under her feet (Genesis 1:14-18); and the head of the church, the Lord Jesus Christ, is glorified by the crown of the twelve apostles.

Listen: The Lord’s apostles are the only real “stars” in the church and the rest of us make up the remainder of his body.

Revelation 12:2

“And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.”

The “she” is the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

This verse reminds me of the guy who wanted a big blessing from the Lord and prayed all day and night in an unknown tongue until he began to travail in pain. Sweating profusely, and scared to death, he panicked thinking he was going to die. Then, he asked the Lord for an interpretation of what he was praying for and got the answer – the souls of the unsaved. What a blessing!

Revelation 12:3

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon…"

What is the devil’s favorite color? Answer: Red, because he is red and it’s the color of blood. Some people think red represents the blood that the Lord Jesus shred for us, but you can read, more importantly, Christ’s blood makes white not red.

“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” (Psalm 51:7)

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)


Revelation 12:4

“And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.”

The dragon’s head is Satan and the fallen angels make up the rest of his serpentine body: the evil opposite of the body of Jesus Christ. Here, the dragon not only waited for Jesus to be born to kill him, but he also waits in ambush for those who will be born again into the kingdom of God. And if he doesn’t kill the baby Christians soon after birth, physically or spiritually, he will depart for a season and try again another day. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

Revelation 12:5-6

“And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.”

After the Lord Jesus, the head of the church, ascended to heaven in sight of the devils, the devils turned around and began the persecution of the rest of the body of Christ, his church on earth. The church sought and seeks refuge in the “wilderness” from time to time, away from the Babylonian cities, which are “become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.” (Revelation 18:2b)

Revelation 12:11

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

I used to think our “testimony” in this verse was the account of how the Lord Jesus personally saved us, but see it more than that now. We are to be a witness and testify that the things the Jesus Christ says

are true. In other words, we are in agreement with what the word of God says by personal experience or by faith.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

In addition, if you love (cherish) your life in this untoward generation and are not in agreement with what the Lord says, you will love your life unto death. Not good.

Revelation 12:13

“And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.”

If you are having a swell time in this life and are not personally aware of the persecution of the woman, the church, may it be suggested you are not saved.

“Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.” (John 15:20)

The devil doesn’t need to bother some people because they are not a bother to him.

Revelation 12:15-16

“And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.”

Like a busted dam, Satan spews endless verbiage to drown the church in lies, but the church takes refuge by distancing itself from the fount of fables, even as Christ did occasionally. Interestingly, the Lord retreated with the twelve into the desert for rest, but never a night in Jerusalem, “Sodom and Egypt.” (Revelation 11:8) Sometimes, however, they would camp nearby in the Mount of Olives. (Luke 21:37) And, as you may recall, there was no room service at Hotel Olivet or Barn Bethlehem where Jesus was born.

Revelation 12:17

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

Don’t bother witnessing or testifying what the Lord Jesus says is true and you’ll have fewer problems in this world; especially, by not agreeing with Paul, Christ’s apostle to the Gentiles. On the other hand, you’ll get a lot of static by agreeing with Paul in politically correct America by apostate church members.

“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” (I John 2:19)


Revelation 13:1

“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.”

The seven heads 2,000 years ago were Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate, Herod, Philip, Lysanias, Annas, and Caiaphas. (Luke 3:1-2) Who are they today?

Ten Horns + Ten Crowns = The World Rulers

Names of blasphemy are the names of God capitalized in scripture but used by men as their names and entitlements. Examples: King, Prince, Lord, Governor, Judge, Father (Pope, Papa, Abba), Bishop, Master (Rabbi, Pastor, Leader, Fuhrer). These are positions, not names for worldly rulers, as in Henry the king, not King Henry; Philip the prince, not Prince Philip; Andrew Cuomo the governor, not Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Revelation 13:2

“And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”

The beast’s government are like three carnivorous killers. The leopard is one of the only meat-eaters that kills for pleasure. The bear has enormous feet, the largest claws of the carnivores, which he uses for tools and killing. And the lion seeks prey panicked by his dramatic thunderous vocalizations. The dragon (Satan) gives the beast his position and power, even as it was offered, but refused by the Lord Jesus during the temptation in the wilderness.

“All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.” (Matthew 4:9)

Revelation 13:3

“And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.”

The devil doesn’t die as he is a spiritual being but his beastly human possessions are replaced as they die. (“The king is dead. Long live the king.”) Despots come and despots go, but are soon replaced by another, the likes of Caesar, Napoleon, Hitler, and Mao, to note some of the well-known critters.

Revelation 13:4

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?”

When people bow down, kowtow, and submit to the beast, they are, in effect, worshiping Satan. This they do, also, to certain people, idols, and even symbols, and signs. In these cases, an invisible devil is standing before the object, and soaking up all the blasphemous worship and allegiance to themselves. Some folk are doing this now and think nothing of it. Think again.

Revelation 13:5-6

“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.”

It is a blasphemous to speak of the Lord, or his church, in a vain or empty way; or to speak the truth of God and not believe a word you say. (Exodus 20:7) The beast and others of his ilk speak blasphemy for political and religious advantage. I am sure if you read the biographies of presidents, senators, and congressmen, you won't find many “atheists” as they all conveniently claim some religion or denomination. However, I have never read or heard one simply claim only to be a "Christian."

Revelation 13:7

“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”

Now you know what the real war is in this world – the war against the saints - the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. All other conflicts are a lying distraction to what is really happening. In the wars on earth, the devil likes to play army like little boys do (or did) with rubber soldiers; but, in his case, with real people. This he does to thumb his nose at the Prince of Peace.

Revelation 13:8-9

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear.”

It is very simple: If you are written in the book of life, you will not worship, exalt, or pledge your allegiance to anyone or anything else but the Lord Jesus Christ - unless you are thus far blissfully ignorant. And by the way, when you worship God alone, you are automatically a good citizen of your country.

Revelation 13:10

“He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.”

What goes around comes around.

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Luke 6:38)

How do you get the saint’s patience?

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12)

Revelation 13:11

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”

In the New York City area it is amazing how many church buildings have two steeples and not three. Three steeples could represent the Godhead but only two might represent the two horns of the religious beast. Get the points? Much of the devil’s tracks are obvious if you let the Lord open your eyes to the truth but it might be too much for you to handle. You know, like the person who took five years to believe hired pastors don’t care for their congregations because they are hired. (John 10:11-13) Somethings are just plain hard to believe but you have to keep on trying.

“Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” (Matthew 9:24)

Revelation 13:12

“And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”

Hand in hand, the state religions of the two-horned beast work together and support the government’s beast. In Egypt, the only religion that wasn’t supported and living out of the trough of government benefits were the people of the faith of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It’s the same way today. God’s church is not signed up with the state and is not a 501(c)3 non-profit (non-prophet) organization.

Revelation 13:13-14

“And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.”

Science has come up with inventions figuratively called “miracles” but they do not defy known physics as the Lord Jesus’ miracles did and do. Atomic bombs, drone attacks, and missiles that come down from the atmospheric and celestial heaven, may be miracles of science, but they are not miracles coming down from God’s throne in heaven.

Revelation 13:15

“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”

Images speak in a spiritual language their devotees may respond to. For example, when an idolatrous image is displayed to them, comes into a room, or passes by, they hear it “speak” and respond accordingly with physical and/or verbal expressions of adoration.

Revelation 13:16

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:”

More importantly, this is the spiritual mark of those laboring with their hand in the beast’s interest, or think on those interests in the conscious forefront of their brains. On the other hand, the conscious thoughts and labor of the children of God revolve around the Lord Jesus Christ.

To the Jews: Scriptures weren’t meant to be worn in phylactery’s boxes on the forehead and hand; they were meant to manifest in thoughts and deeds. Get it? (Exodus 13:9; Deuteronomy 6:4-8, 11:18)

Revelation 13:17

“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

What money does not have an image, or mark, or name, or number? Can you live and operate in this world without it?

“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.” (Matthew 6:31-32)

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24)

It’s one or the other, folks. The choice is yours.

Revelation 13:18,

“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

Everyone seems to know what the number of the beast is (whether Christian or not), just like they know their own number. Think: Your mother gave you a name, not a number, because she loved you, and you weren’t some kind of chattel to be watched and inventoried like a dollar bill, a cow, or a car. So, who gave you a number for a name anyway?



“And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.”

The 144,000 also represents the whole church throughout time.

“And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.” (Revelation 22:3-4)

"Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God.” (Revelation 3:12)

Don’t have God’s name and city’s name on your “heavenly passport"? Invalid!

Chapter and verse numbers are additions to the word of God. The "Chapter 14" subtitle separates the beast’s mark, name, and number written in the foreheads of the lost in Revelation 13, from Chapter 14:1 where God’s name is written in the foreheads of believers. This chapter division devalues an important contrast between what’s in the forehead of the unsaved and the saved. Again, all believers have the name of God written in their foreheads/consciousness. (Revelation 22:24). Our thoughts and lives revolve around the Lord Jesus Christ as John the Baptist noted. If not, why not?

“He must increase, but I must decrease.” (John 3:30)

Revelation 14:3

"And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.”

I knew a man who said, “Some of us ‘tongues’ people were praying in a sanctuary during a small prayer meeting, and we all spontaneously began to sing in an unknown language.” He went on to report, “It was the best choir music I’ve ever heard, as each one sang a unique spiritual melody, which mysteriously intertwined and blended into a heavenly chorus.”

Revelation 14:4

“These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.”

False churches are like harlots, but God’s church, the Lamb’s wife, is like a virgin bride.

“And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.” (Revelation 21:9)

When you were saved, God supernaturally created you as an unsoiled soul, a new creature; pure, holy, and undefiled – a virgin!

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (II Corinthians 5:17)

Revelation 14:6-7

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”

The gospel is the first message for the church to preach today because one cannot be saved unless one hears the gospel with understanding. Preaching the gospel is a form of worshipping the Creator who saved us.

“How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” (Romans 10:15)

Revelation 14:8

“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”

“Babylon is fallen, is fallen” (fallen twice) is the second message for the church to preach today, because there are two horns of the beast, two steeples, two towers, and other twos which represent the beast’s government and religion. We won’t get into two crosses now (a double-cross) which is prevalent on and in religious buildings today: a footprint of the devil’s boys.

Fornication (all sexual sin) produces certain chemicals in the brain similar to addictive and harmful drugs, like some hunters (Nimrods) crave infused adrenaline meat.

Side note: Hey, how about that Dos Equis Beer, the double cross beer. What’s the secret ingredient, anyway? Look out!

Revelation 14:9-11

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation…”

To warn those who are written in the book of life (but not living for the Lord yet) is the third message for the church to preach. It’s a love message like John the Baptist preached. By the way, if you question the value of “hellfire and damnation” preaching, the name John means, “Jehovah has been gracious.”

“Repent ye: the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2)

Revelation 14:12

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

Part of our patience is knowing the beastly boys will one-day pay for their evil deeds in the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15)

“And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?” (Luke 18:7)

Believers will get their eternal rewards by the grace of God, And by his grace, we endure the trials of life unto eternal life, as did our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)

Revelation 14:13

“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”

Death sends believers to heaven because one has to die to get there. Remember: Every day that passes we are one day closer to being with the Lord Jesus Christ heaven. Hallelujah!

“Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord…” (II Corinthians 5:6)

The Holy Ghost is the confirmation, like earnest money, of our being accepted by Jesus Christ into his eternal family. (Matthew 3:16-17)

Revelation 14:15

“And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.”

Light travels at 186,000 miles per second and could circle the earth seven and a half times in that moment. Likewise, the Lord’s lightning scythe reaps his righteous wheat east to west.

“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:27)

“…we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye…”

Revelation 14:18b-19

“Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God."

The second harvest gathers the clusters of the vine to be crushed, which are the children of the great whore, she being drunk with the blood of the saints. (Revelation 17:6)

“For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.” (Revelation 16:6)

This picture is similar to the tares, which are gathered, and bound, and bundled together with another tare, into false Christian groups to be burned in the fire. (Denominations?)

Revelation 14:20

“And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.”

The blood-gorged grapes of wrath are the devil’s boys, which are crushed to smithereens, and the picture painted is gruesome. It’s a massacre, creating a sea of blood (figuratively, literally, or both) 1600 furlongs in diameter (9200 miles), and as high as a horses bridle (about 5 feet). The grapes of wrath could include all the unsaved souls from Cain to the end of time; and, who knows who, or what else, is in the bloodbath. The Lord is not merciful when destroying his enemies.



“And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.”

Everyone agrees that the saints are exempt from the wrath of God but most are in denial about the wrath of Satan.

“I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation…” (Revelation 1:9a)

“I know thy works, and tribulation… ” (Revelation 2:9a)

“These are they which came out of great tribulation…” (Revelation 7:14b)

“…we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” (Acts 14:22c)

“…we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.” (I Thessalonians 3:4b)

Tribulation is not wearing mismatched socks to church - it’s the cross of crucifixion.

“Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” (Mark 8:34b)


”And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.”

First, there was the opening of the book with seven seals that we might read it with understanding. Then, the seven trumpets warning the world to repent before the Lord’s judgment is unleashed. And,

now, the seven plagues which are the Lord’s wrathful judgment. If one is not saved at this point, can there be any escaping the loosening of his terrible swift sword? “Glory, glory, Hallelujah, his truth is marching on!”

Revelation 15:2

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.”

Even as the Lord Jesus walked upon the sea of Galilee (the sea of iniquitous humanity), the saints walk on the same sea. It is smooth as glass on top and unhindered by obstacles, but separated from the fiery turbulent of conflicts below. This is the same sea the beast rose out of to rule Satan’s tempestuous world.

Revelation 15:3-4

“And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God…”

The Old Testament church rejoiced in song, after Moses led them through the Red Sea on dry ground, which drowned Egyptians within its depths. (Exodus 15) The New Testament church also rejoices in song, knowing heaven’s Son will submerge his and our enemies in the sea of iniquity, while we watch from heaven’s portals.


“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us- ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (II Peter 3:9)

Revelation 15:5-6

“And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.”

The tabernacle of testimony in the Old Testament was a picture of the body of Christ and of God’s church in the New Testament. If white linen represents the righteousness of the saints girt about with the golden truth, may it be suggested, the saints, who are the human angels/messengers of the Lord Jesus Christ, are to preach and warn of the wrath of God to come before “It is done.” (Revelation 21:6)



“And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.”

How long does the wrath of God last?

The Lord Jesus experienced God’s wrath for our sins just before and during his crucifixion. Arrested around midnight, he was stricken, smitten, afflicted, and then nailed to the cross (probably naked) for six hours. When he asked for water, sadistically he was given vinegar to drink. (No, it wasn’t painkilling medicine.) God’s anger for our sins, which he put upon Jesus, lasted less than twenty-four hours, and it was swift and sharp. However, after God exacts wrath at the end of time on the unbelievers with his terrible swift sword, they are cast into the lake of fire forever.


“And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.”

The vials can remind one of God’s bruising and the crushing of Jesus for our sins. (Isaiah 53:5) Picture the stages of crucifixion in this chapter: a picture of the hell he paid for us.

“Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.” (Isaiah 53:10-11)

Revelation 16:2

“And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.”

“Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.” (John 19:1)

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (I Peter 2:24)

(One can think of mental and spiritual whippings, also.)

Revelation 16:3

“And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.”

Jesus became that sea of humanity as his blood dripped from the wounds inflicted upon him and dried in the hot sun. Facing south toward the sun, Christ hung on the symbol of the sun God, the cross.

Revelation 16:4

“And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.”

Pummeled, lacerated, and punctured for the atonement for our sins, Christ bled externally and internally; his sweat, tears, saliva, and urine mingled with the blood he shed for us.

Revelation 16:5-6

“And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.”

The only relief for Christ’s parched lips, tongue, and mouth was the blood and sweat that trickled into his mouth. Later, the agents of torture would offer him vinegar to quench his thirst as their final insult to a dying man.

Revelation 16:7-8

“And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.”

As agents of wrath, the Romans hung Jesus and two others on a cross facing south to receive the full force of the sun’s rays, scorching them as with fire, and causing one to blaspheme “Christ,” one of the names of God. Some people repent under pressure and some blaspheme.

“And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.” (Luke 23:39)

Revelation 16:10-11

“And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.”

Perhaps the scene was too distressing to look at as God inflicted his judgment for our sins on Christ, and closed the celestial shutters shut as his light, the Light of God, was being extinguished.

“Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.” (Matthew 27:45)

Revelation 16:12

“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.”

All the devils of hell converged upon Calvary’s hill for this decisive and final battle between God and Satan. And what the devil thought was his greatest victory (the murdering of Christ), became his doom and death knell, for he killed the one and only innocent man of all time, illegally.

Revelation 16:13-14

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”

Today, this is called “shuttle diplomacy” as the kingdoms of this world negotiate one with another to further the agenda of the one world government and religion. They are resurrecting Babel, the evil antichrist government and religion: Babel as in Babylon. (Revelation 14:8, 16:19, 17:5, 18:2, 18:10, 18:21)

Revelation 16:15

“Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.”

Are you on watch?

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched…” (Matthew 24:42-43)

“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 25:13)

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)

”Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” (Luke 21:36)

Revelation 16:16

“And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”

This type of scenario has been played out many times in history in famous battles, as in the battles of Marathon, Waterloo, Gettysburg, Stalingrad, and Berlin, to name some. However, the greatest battle was at Calvary when Satan’s apparent victory over Christ led to his own defeat. Satan may have won the battle but he lost the war.

“Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.” (John 12:31)

Revelation 16:17-18

“And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.”

After Jesus Christ paid for our sins on the cross, he proclaimed…

“It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” (John 19:30)

When the wrath of God is done and finished, the unrepentant are cast into the lake of fire with the false prophet, the beast, and the devil - forever. (See Revelation 19:20)

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15)

Revelation 16:19

“And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.”

Jerusalem is probably spiritual Babylon, also known in Revelation as “Sodom and Egypt” and is already divided into the three unholy sites of Jews, Muslims, and false Christians.

“And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.” (Revelation 11:8)

Revelation 16:20

“And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.”

Looking at the Twin Towers in the 1990s, from across the Hudson River, I knew they were coming down one day, along with the other skyscrapers. Also, the mountains and islands (mountains above sea level) are coming down. When I told my friends this, they thought I was crazy.

“Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” (Revelation 14:8)

Babylon falls down twice.

Revelation 16:21

“And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.”

The word of God can descend like a warm mist, a gentle rain, a torrential storm, or as great clumps of destructive hail.

“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10- 11)


Revelation 17:1

“And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters…”

No doubt, the fifth angel gives this report, as he is the one who pours out the vial on spiritual Babylon, which is Satan’s city, church, and whore. Babylon sits and dominates the many waters of peoples, a sea of iniquity, and is the antithesis of holy Jerusalem. The holy Jerusalem is the new Jerusalem from above, the Lambs city, church, and wife.

“Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God…” (Revelation 21:9b-10)

Revelation 17:2

“With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

The kings of the earth commit spiritual, mental, and physical fornication with the city Babylon, the “great whore.” Fornication creates addictive hormonal brain activity and leads to unbridled lusts. This is the devil’s opiate and influences the course of this world.

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” (I John 2:16)

Revelation 17:3

“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.”

The wilderness is the world without God, and the woman is sitting and enthroned upon Satan’s beast, his political/religious system. The beast is scarlet, his favorite color, and the color of the dragon, the color of blood. (Revelation 12:3) Blasphemously he uses the personal, uppercase names of God for himself: King, Prince, Lord, Governor, Judge, Father, Pope, Bishop, Master, Rabbi, Pastor, Leader, Fuhrer, etc.

By the way, the blood of Christ makes white, not red.


Revelation 17:4

“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication…”

Satan’s whore, Babylon, is dressed in scarlet which represents the blood of the saints; purple, the royalty of this world; and expensive jewels and ever-present pearls. This is in contrast to the virgin bride of Christ, his church...

“And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” (Revelation 19:8)

“In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.” (I Timothy 2:8-10)

Revelation 17:5

“And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.”

Satan’s city “Babylon the Great” is as obvious as having a name tattooed on her forehead. Most think this city is Rome, the nation-state of the Roman Catholic Church. However, before Rome, Jerusalem was the center of antichrist activity and the only place on earth that has the distinction of killing God’s son, and, ironically, he was the Saviour of the world. If Jerusalem isn’t the Mother of Harlots, then she is the grandmother. In contrast, God’s people have his name and city written in their foreheads. (Revelation 3:12, 7:3, 14:1, 22:4)


“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.”

May it be more than a little suggested that the beast is red or scarlet because he revels in spilling the blood of his victims; especially, God’s children, the saints. There are also reasons to believe the phrase “drunken with the blood of the saints” is more than symbolic. The devil’s boys may literally drink the blood of their victims for hormones produced under stress, such as adrenaline, cortisol, and norepinephrine, which may have an intoxicating effect on the brain and body.


“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.”

The beast's red color may also indicate he is a white man, a Caucasian. Interestingly, some African Negroes refer to Caucasians as “pink people”. As you may have noticed, there are many Northern Europeans, who are not only pale in color compared to the black and yellow races, but are pink or ruddy, because the blood capillaries near the skin show through better. White people also blush red from various emotions and situations. And as history shows, many evil dictators, and religious leaders have been white.

Revelation 17:8b

“…and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.”

The beast materializes again after he dies or suffers apparent total defeat. However, his governments keep manifesting throughout time. And, as the devil cannot die like men, he uses men for a season, replacing them again and again and again. Kingdoms of this world come and go but the names of the players are changed to protect the guilty. Think: Napoleon, Hitler, and the European Union, which is Rome resurrected from the dead after Hitler failed to bring his Reich to fruition.

“And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death and his deadly wound was healed…” (Revelation 13:3)

Revelation 17:9

“And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.”

Jerusalem may be the original Mother of Harlots. It also has seven mountains: Mount Scopus, Mount Olivet and the Mount of Corruption (all three are peaks in a mountain ridge that lies east of the Old City), Mount Ophel, the original Mount Zion, the New Mount Zion, and the hill on where the Antonia Fortress was built. Others cities built on seven mountains (hills) include Rome, Babylon, Moscow, Mecca, Lisbon, Tehran, and Amman. Interestingly, more than nineteen cities in the United States claim to be founded upon seven hills.

Revelation 17:10-11

“And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.”

A characteristic of the beast is his metaphorically coming back to life after he dies. For example, we see this throughout history when a king dies, it is proclaimed, “The king is dead, long live the king” as another is in line to take his place. Even when presidents die, another takes the reins immediately, becoming an “endless” line of succession.

Revelation 17:12-13

“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.”

The beast can appoint supporters into political positions of power in various ways. Of course, to be placed in these positions, they will yield their power to the beast and his whore city - for a season. (Revelation 17:16-17)

“And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.” (Luke 4:6)

Revelation 17:14

“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”

Now you know what the true agenda of the kingdoms of this world is - the destruction of the believers whose only allegiance is to the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ. (How about you?) Some proclaim their allegiance is first to God and then to family or country. God’s servants, however, only pledge their allegiance to Jesus Christ and all other responsibilities take care of themselves.

Revelation 17:16-17

“And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.”

Though the ten horns (the ten kings representing the world’s political powers) get their authority from the beast, they are desirous to be the king of the mountain themselves, and destroy the beast’s capital city that reigns over them.

Revelation 17:18

“And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”

Great cities come and go, and even when one of the beast’s chief cities passes away into mediocrity, another raises out of the sea of iniquity to take its place. Some of those cities have been Babel, Babylon, Alexandria, Rome, Constantinople, Baghdad, Beijing, Tokyo, London, and New York. Cain, who was a beast of a man and the first murderer, founded the first city.

“And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.” (Genesis 4:17)


Revelation 18:1-2

“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”

All spiritual Babylons will fall into ruins no matter how great they are and be “twice dead, plucked up by the roots.” They, like Cain’s city Enoch, are not a part of the kingdom of God but are the corrals for every foul, unclean, and hateful devil manifesting in men. Interestingly, many such Babylonian cities have prideful songs written about them: San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, Galveston, Kansas City, Memphis, New York, Paris…

“Pride goeth before destruction…” (Proverbs 16:18)

Revelation 18:2b

“Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”

The prototype for Babylon was the first city named after Enoch, Cain’s first son, who was the first son of Adam. Cain was also the first false priest who offered the first unacceptable sacrifices to God, and the first murderer of the first righteous man Abel, who was also Cain’s brother. Furthermore, he was the first king-type and the first ruler to corral his subjects in a city; and the first person to have the mark of his evil character spiritually etched on him by God, which was a mark reserving him for eternal punishment, for he was a beast of a man. These concepts “evilved” into Babel and then into Babylon. (Genesis 4)

Revelation 18:3

“For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.”

Spiritual, mental, and physical fornication demonstrates ones anger towards God. This type of spiritual wine clouds the mind with “deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things,” and engorges the purses of unsavory merchants.

“Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” (Philippians 4:11- 12)

Revelation 18:4-5

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.”

God’s people are warned to come out of her, meaning, the world’s Babylonian system they are born into. Therefore, reject being a part of the kingdoms of this world and be proactive in God’s kingdom on earth while here. Come out of her and come up to, and operate in, the Lord’s spiritual realm, and out of the political and religious systems of this world. Amen.

Revelation 18:6

“Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.”

As the world’s Babylon has persecuted you, she shall reap revenge from God - and you can count on it!

“Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.” (John 15:20)

“If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.” (Deuteronomy 32:41)

Revelation 18:9-10

“And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.”

God help the believers that cannot associate this verse with September 11, 2001 when the World Trade Center Towers fell down, fell down (“is fallen, is fallen”) within one hour of each other. (About 30 minutes, actually.) Interestingly, the WTC was a vertical city that had its own Zip code: 10048.

“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” (Revelation 14:8)

Revelation 18:11

“And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.”

When money is your god and your god fails, it’ll be the end of the world for you. Either you master the unrighteous mammon through Jesus Christ or mammon will master you. (Luke 16:11)

“Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24)

Revelation 18:14, Micro-Commentary

“And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.”

The pleasures of this world are deceptive and fleeting distractions from the truths of God and eternal life.

“And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!” (Mark 10:23)

“Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.” (James 5:1-3)

Revelation 18:17-18

“For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!”

Some cities destroyed by fire and are evidently common occurrences: Rome (64 AD), London (1135, 1212, 1666, 1940), Moscow (1547), New York (1776), Chicago (1871), San Francisco (1851, 1906), Warsaw (1944), Dresden (1945), Tokyo (1923, 1945), Hiroshima and Nagasaki (1945).

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” (II Peter 3:10)

Revelation 18:20-21

“Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.”

Do not weep for the Babylons when God “hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword” and destroys them one at a time or all at once. Rejoice!

“Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” (Romans 12:19b)


Revelation 18:22-23a

“And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee…”

Some cities are overthrown and given a new name and facelift, and some are buried in dust and never brought back to life. Even The World Trade Center Twin Towers, a vertical city with it own Zip Code 10048, had all the above activities, but never again. Others such cities: Ancient Carthage, Troy, Memphis, Babylon, Thebes, Petra, Angkor…

Revelation 18:23b

“…for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.”

Sorceries (Greek = Pharmakeia, from where we get the word Pharmacy): the use or the administering of drugs; poisoning; magical arts; often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it; metaphorically, the deceptions and seductions of idolatry.

Revelation 18:24

“And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.”

The root of all murdered (saint or sinner) is found in the first man born into this world, Cain, who killed the first righteous man Abel, and built the prototype city for the beast’s Babylon.

“For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous." (I John 3:11-12)

“By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.” (Hebrews 11:4)


Revelation 19:1-3

“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he

hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.”

The righteous Judge will avenge the devil’s deeds. No need for Crusades to help God out like the Roman Catholic's Babylonian religion. What is needed is prayer for revival in the land before the judgment comes. Then, after God’s dispatches the devil’s boys, they will be smoldering away on the backburner for eternity, out of sight and out of mind.

Revelation 19:4-5

“And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great."

The 24 elders (the church) and the 4 beasts (the animal kingdom) are praising the Lord 24 hours day in heaven and from the four corners of the earth.

“And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” (Revelation 5:13)

Revelation 19:6

“And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.”

This is a supernatural Niagara Falls of praise in the spiritual realm, echoing and reverberating like thunder throughout creation, and is happening right now. Are you part of the multitude?

“Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals...” (Psalm 150: 1-5…)

Revelation 19:7-8

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”

This is a description of the church that is clothed in the simplicity of good works. (I Timothy 2:8-10) It is not a dress code, per se, but evidence of a healthy spiritual and mental state of mind, unlike Satan’s Whore of Babylon, which is the opposite.

“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication…” (Revelation 17:4)

Revelation 19:10

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Notice the angel, the messenger giving John the Revelation, is a fellowservant and of his brethren. (Also Revelation 1:1) One may suspect John received the vision from an unheralded church member, and John, in turn, gave it to the church via his apostolic authority.

“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” (Hebrews 13:2)

The testimony of what the Lord Jesus says is prophetic and “the spirit of prophecy.” What he says is what we say with perfect accuracy. You can’t go wrong with the Lord’s testimony.

Revelation 19:11-12

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.”

Potentates (or their devotees) like to be pictured on white horses simulating and projected as the King of kings: Julius Caesar, Napoleon, Washington, Tsar Nicholas II, Mussolini, Hirohito, Queen Elizabeth II, and the list goes on.

Revelation 19:13

“And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”

Notice one of the names of the Lord Jesus Christ – The Word of God. The other term, the word of God (lower case w) is in reference to the holy scripture, whether verbal or written.

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.” (Revelation 1:1-3)

Revelation 19:14

“And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.”

The saints in heaven are arrayed in white linen, and when the Lord returns to bring vengeance on the ungodly world, we are with him when he comes.

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” (Revelation 19:7-8)

Revelation 19:15

“And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”

The Lord Jesus is ruling and reigning now on earth but he’s giving the law-breakers time to surrender and turn themselves in. (Before he smites and destroys the unruly nations and takes them over.)

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” (Revelation 11:15)

Revelation 19:16

“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.”

Many times in scripture, the word thigh is a euphemism for the male reproductive organ, the testicles where the seed of man is stored. Thus, the Lord Jesus, The Word of God, is the Father of all the sons of God, and has made us kings forever by his supernatural royal blood.

“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 1:6)

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation 5:10)

Revelation 19:17-18

“And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.”

As people came out to watch the carnage of battles from a safe distance and pick the battlefield and bodies left behind, the fowls of the air will do the same after this great and final battle.

Revelation 19:19

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army."

The war against the saints has happened, is happening, and will continue to happen until the end of the age, and unto the end of time.

“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” (Revelation 13:7

Revelation 19:20

“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

The above is recorded in the past, as it is already a done deal, and another prophecy coming true.

“Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.” (John 12:31)

“And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness […] Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” (John 16:8-11)

Revelation 19:21

“And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.”

As the Word spoke the world into existence, so he speaks and there is life, there is death, and this world is eliminated and made new.

”For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.” (Isaiah 65:17)

“Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” (II Peter 3:13)

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” (Revelation 21:1)


Revelation 20:1-3

“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”

Think: Napoleon, after he was arrested and exiled to the Mediterranean island of Elba, somehow managed to escape and start conquering again - for a season. Then he was re-captured and sent to the remote tropical island of St. Helena - a hell-of-a-place - in the Atlantic Ocean where he died of cancer.

Revelation 20:2

“And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years…”

Devils are bound and loosed time and again, whether for a day or a thousand years.

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (II Peter 3:8)

Devils manifest in Caesars, kings, and popes; people prominent and obscure. When Hitler died, someone took his place. Even after 72 years, Nazi Germany, which ruled continental Europe with armies, now rules continental Europe with economics. (Revelation’s black horse rides again!) These are of the same spirit, thinking they only lost the battle but not the war, and the same with Japan.

If you only think literally about the scripture - re-think.

Revelation 20:4

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

As your sins were forgiven and forgotten by God, you became as innocent as the Lord Jesus who was illegally killed by the devil, for he had no sin to pay for. Will the devil likewise kill you illegally as dead as a man who has his head chopped off? Jesus had to be killed to get to heaven. How about you?

Revelation 20:5-6

“But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

Once, I was traveling on the freeway with a friend for six hours and having a conversation the entire time about the Lord Jesus Christ. It was a supernatural experience and we didn’t know how much time was passing by; five minutes or five hours. Whether the above scripture is a literal thousand years or a day, it may seem like a twinkle of time, or an eternity, or both. Anyway, after a million years in heaven, eternity will have just begun.

Revelation 20:7

“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.”

And so it is written…

“Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” (Revelation 12:12)

Even as Hitler retreated from his defeats in Russia, his unrepentant nature would not allow him to surrender. And so it is with the devil. Satan has no choice but to fight God until he and his are thrown into the lake of fire for eternity.

Revelation 20:9-10

“And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

We are already spiritually seated in God’s temple and the devils have always compassed the saints about. From Cain killing righteous Able, Cain’s spiritual descendants are surrounding the saints today.

“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus…” (Ephesians 2:5-6)

Revelation 20:11

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.”

The devil’s boys are pre-ordained not to repent even though they know the endgame.

“Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?” (Matthew 8:29)

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” (Revelation 1:7)

“Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:16-17)

Revelation 20:12

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”

After the unbelievers are resurrected, they are not to be found in the book of remembrance, or the book of life, but are judged by the books of the law, the Torah: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Live by the law and die by the law – forever. On the other hand, one can live by God’s grace through Jesus Christ - forever. The choice is yours.

“For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law…” (Romans 2:12)

Revelation 20:13

“And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.”

Whether one is buried on land, or in the sea, or lost in space, the ungodly will stand before the Lord on judgment day. However, the church stands by, and next to, the Lord as he judges the unjust. (I Corinthians 6:2-4)

“As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:11-12)

Revelation 20:14-15, Micro-Commentary

“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

On the other hand, for those found in the book of life, death, hell, and the grave are cast away forever. Amen.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)


Revelation 21:1

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”

The old sea was/is the polluted “sea of humanity” and sometimes it’s calm; sometimes turbulent and deadly. The Lord Jesus walked upon that sea while it stormed and Peter did so for a moment. Yes, one can rise above it all while walking with the one that the winds and sea obey.

When the gospel net is drawn to shore from the sea of humanity, “the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Mathew 13:49)

Revelation 21:2

"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

The new Jerusalem is the bride of Christ, his church, and adorned with precious spiritual jewels from God, which are infinitely more valuable than the Babylonian bobbles of this temporal earth, which adorn Satan’s Whore.

“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.” (Revelation 17:4-5)

Revelation 21:3-4

“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

This prophecy has been fulfilled as we are the temple of God on earth now. However, when passing from this life into eternity, that fact will solidify in a way that is beyond our finite understanding. We are looking forward to the perpetuity of blessings with the Lord with no death, sorrow, crying, or pain, for the former things will have passed away for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 21:5

“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”

We know the words of God are true for he has given us the “down payment” on his truth - the Holy Spirit.

“Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” (II Corinthians 1:22)

“Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.” (II Corinthians 5:5)

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” (I Corinthians 13:12)

Revelation 21:6

“And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”

Who is charging you for spiritual enlightenment anyway?

“The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:7)

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)

“And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” (Revelation 22:17)

Revelation 21:7

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”

Who are the “overcomers"?

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” (I John 5:4-5)

Revelation Definitions of the Overcomers: 2:7, 2:11, 2:17, 2:26, 3:5, 3:12, 3:21, 21:7.

Revelation 21:8

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Those listed in this verse, who do have not have their sins washed away by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, cannot overcome in this world, as defined in Micro-Commentary entry Revelation 21:7.

“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16)

Revelation 21:9

“And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.”

Before God pours out his vials of wrath upon the earth, we get a glimpse of the bride of Christ in the spiritual realm, before the bridegroom comes to take his bride away and judge the world.

Revelation 21:10-11

"And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal…”

The bride of Christ, the great city (a city and church being the people and not the buildings) is the holy Jerusalem above and not today’s unholy Jerusalem below.

“And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.” (Revelation 11:7-8)

Revelation 21:12-13

“And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.”

Notice the bride of Christ is safe and peacefully confined in a space with walls that separates her/us from those on the back burner of eternity in the lake of fire.

“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.” (Revelation 21:27)

Revelation 21:14

“And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”

The Lord Jesus, The Word of God, is the chief cornerstone, the foundation of the church, and author of the apostle’s doctrine: the New Testament from Matthew through Revelation. This is the foundation of the protective wall of new Jerusalem the church. To get your instructions true, go to, and read through, again and again, the New Testament!

“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord…” (Ephesians 2:19-21)

Revelation 21:15-16

“And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.”

If the “flat earth theory” is correct, the earth is in a contained system including the firmament, and Revelation’s cubical city may reflect the earth’s shape. At some point in time, however, this earth is to be destroyed and made anew, perfect, and pristine forever, as it was in the beginning before sin’s corruption.

Revelation 21:18-20

“And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire…”

Many people are looking forward to a mansion of a house in heaven, not realizing they are going from a temporal tabernacle/tent of a body to an eternal spiritual mansion of a body. Also, they equate the gems in this verse as literal earthly gems. However, heaven’s shiners are infinitely better and do not reflect their beauty from a source of light bouncing off them. Rather, the creative light of God emanates from within, and these are the true beauty and values of the bride of Christ.

Revelation 21:21

“And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.”

The Parable of the Pearl of Great Price fits this verse perfectly. Everything you have is worth the selling to be able to buy a ticket to pass through the pearly gates of heaven - if you could buy your way. However, the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, has paid the price already.

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.” (Matthew 13:44-46)

Revelation 21:22-23

“And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”

Think: In heaven, God is the Light, and he is in everything and everywhere. This means all that is in heaven is infused with the Light of God; lighting everything from within. No need for a sun, or a moon, or an electric light bulb.

Revelation 21:24-26

“And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.”

The glory and honor of the nations are the sons of God; who, by God’s proclamation, have already been made kings and priests, and bring their glory, God’s glory, into the realms of heaven.

“Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 1:5b-6)

Revelation 21:27

“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.”

There are immigration laws for those who desire to enter into heaven like any civilized nation has immigration laws. In the case of migration to heaven, one must have the name of God written in their forehead and his city of record for validation.

“Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem,

which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.” (Revelation 3:12)


Revelation 22:1

“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.”

The headwaters of the word of God flows from heaven to us below like the garden of Eden’s river. It disperses and waters the Lord’s fertile fields through the believers to other believers downstream.

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” (John 7:37- 39)

Revelation 22:2, Micro-Commentary

“In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”

The tributaries of the water of life flow to every disciple, and every disciple has access to the tree of life, the Word of God, and the Holy Ghost teacher. The tree, ever having fruitful leaves (pages of the word of God) offer spiritual, mental, and physical healing and restoration.

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” (Psalm 107:20)

Revelation 22:3-4, Part 1 of 2

“And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.”

You cannot help but serve Jesus Christ when his name is written in your forehead and dominating the conscious part of your brain, for your life revolves around him. However, to many, the Lord is just

another satellite of interest revolving around their personal interests. The Lord Jesus Christ is either all of your life or he is nothing at all. Either you are serving the Lord or you are serving Satan.

“…choose you this day whom ye will serve […] but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)

Revelation 22:3-4, Part 2 of 2

“And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.”

All of God’s servants have his name written in their foreheads, as represented by the 144,000, which is the whole church, past, present, and future.

“Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.” (Revelation 7:3-4)

Revelation 22:5

“And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.”

Imagine a place so illuminated by the glory of God there is no need for the sun, the moon, or the stars, not to mention an electric LED. Everything in heaven is alive, radiating, and pulsating with the eternal life of the Creator, “the light of life.”

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:4)

“I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

Revelation 22:6

“And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.”

The sayings in the book of Revelation shall “shortly be done.” And, because this is a spiritual book written and residing in the library of God’s eternity, everything prophesied within it is a done deal, and

has, in effect, happened already. Therefore, you can count on it being done shorty, and grasp it all now as it is at hand – if you will.

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” (Revelation 1:3)

Revelation 22:7

“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.”

“Keepeth,” means to read, understand, and be a steward of the Revelation words.

As time passes, it will pass faster and faster, and “swifter than a weaver’s shuttle.” (Job 7:6) Soon we will be with Christ in glory after taking our last breath here and the next breath in heaven.

“For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” (James 4:14)

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (II Peter 3:8)

Revelation 22:8-9

“And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.”

Evidently, the “angel” is another believer and not a heavenly angel, but his name is not given. In other words, God chose a “nobody” to give the Revelation to John, the senior apostle at the time, and he, in turn, gave it to the church. You never know whom the Lord may use and for what purpose. Are you ready to be drafted for such a good work - small or large?

Revelation 22:10

“And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.”

For those who can receive it, this book is unsealed and depicts the present, past, and future all at the same time. Maybe you have noticed the historical and spiritual condition of this world has been cyclic since Adam and Eve sinned and were driven out of the garden of Eden. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is

our spiritual history book; our local newspaper; and the foretelling of the future all rolled up in one publication. Grasp it now, “for the time is at hand.”

Revelation 22:11

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.”

Are you worried about those who do not respond positively to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ? Let them be. Perhaps a seed of faith you sowed will be nurtured down the line by others.

“Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.” (Mark 1:38)

For those you are especially concerned for, utilize the secret weapon called prayer.

Revelation 22:12

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”

Have you been laying up treasures in heaven? Your reward for work well done for the Lord Jesus Christ may not be much now but RETIREMENT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!

“What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.” (I Corinthians 9:18)

“Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” (II Timothy 4:8)

Revelation 22:13

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

The word of God contains it all, says it all, and encompasses all one needs to know in this life, and for the one that follows. The Word of God also freely provides the supernatural Holy Ghost teacher for those that belong to him - no tuition required. Amen.

The Word of God is the “Alpha and Omega” and everything else in between, as he is also the A to Z in the English language, the Alpha and Zeta

Revelation 22:14-15

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”

The commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ are not the Ten Commandments or the other 600 laws, ordinances, and statues in the Old Testament. These commandments are what the Lord Jesus tells us to do, for which we have been enabled to do, through the power of the Holy Ghost. However, if you fail and fall in doing so, he will help you to try again and hold nothing against you. Those who live without the Lord, and cannot follow his commandments, are characterized as those who are “without.”

Revelation 22:16

“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

Who is the angel? John and all believers are, in effect, angels (messengers) presenting God’s word one way or another; even by a single verse or a whole Bible distribution. What better gift to give than the words of God in black and white.

By the way, red is the favorite color of the devil because he is red. Therefore, you might want to think about it when it comes to the “Red Letter Edition” of Bibles whose red letters do not show up on white paper as well as the black ones.

Revelation 22:17

“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”

Salvation is a free gift of God, and after you are saved, one ought to be suspicious of anyone, or any institution emphasizing, “Pay as you pray, Give as you go, and Hand it over while you “Hallelujah!” The Holy Ghost is the teacher and all your expenses and tuition to his classes has already been paid. (See Micro-Commentary 21:6)

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” (Matthew 23:15)

Revelation 22:18-19, Micro-Commentary

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Satan, during the wilderness temptation of Jesus, intentionally omitted scripture. (Psalm 91:11-12 compared to Matthew 4:6) Today, Bible translators must change, omit, and/or add words and whole sentences, to have their “New” Bibles copyrightable. Once, as a new believer, I came across this verse omitted in a Reader’s Digest condensed version of the Bible. Look out, Reader’s Digest!

Revelation 22:20

“He which testifieth these things saith, surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

Time goes by faster and faster as time goes by. Soon a year will seem like six months; a month like a week; and a day like an hour or two. When the Lord catches you up at the end of your life here on earth, it will have seemed as a puff of smoke, which appeared for a moment, and was gone. Are you looking forward to your departure? If not, why not?

“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” (James 4:14)


“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

This salutation is used four times in the New Testament - as if directed to the four corners of the earth. (Romans 6:24; Philippines 4:23; II Thessalonians 3:18) They are quite different from the last words of the Old Testament with its 613 laws, ordinances, and statutes…

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” (Malachi 4:5-6)

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” (John 1:17)



As indicated, believers are infused with the grace of the Lord. In addition, The Word of God (as is the Book of Revelation) is full of grace and truth, but not condemnation - for the believer.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:17)

Final Comment

Six times it says in the first chapter of the Bible, Genesis…

“And God said […] and it was so.” (Verses 6-7, 9, 11, 14-15, 24, 29-30)

In other words, what God says is the way it is no matter what anyone thinks or anyone says.
