Stanhope Church Has New Pastor
Rev. B~nny Joseph Leonard has accepted the pastorate of Stanhope Baptist Church on Rt. 1, Spring Hope.
Leonard was ordained into the ministry on Sunday, June 24, at the Red Bud Baptist Church near Castalia with Rev. Robert L. Clark of Fuquay-Va-rina officiating.
He is a senior at Campbell College at Buies Creek, and has

graduated from the Atlanta School of Radio and TV Broadcasting, Atlanta, Ga. He also received his cqpioma in electronics from Lenoir Com-munity College, Kinstin.
While in school, he has been actively engaged in various church activities. He served two years in military service including a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam.
Rev. Leonard is married to the former Patsy Alford of Youngsville. The couple now lives in Raleigh, where Mrs. Leonard is employed as a secretary at North Carolina ~tate University in the crop improvement department. They plan to move into the church parsonage in the near future.

pastorate The Rev. Benny Joseph Leonard has
accepted the call to become pastor of Olive Grove Bapti~J.,'hurch. He fills the position left vacanf by the resignation of Dr. Eugene Hunsinger. who is now pastor of the First Baptist l'hurch in' Wadesboro, N.C.
Rev. Leonard and his wife, Patsy, will begin their ministry here Sunday, November 3rd. They came from Stanhope Baptist l'hurch in Spring Hope, N. C. He and his wife are natives of Franklin County. He is a graduate of Campbell College and is presently enrolled at the Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C.
