The Tribulation
30 MINUTES
Of
SILENCE
(Rev 8:1-5) And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them
were given seven trumpets. And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much
incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was
before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the
angel's hand. And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into
the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
(Rev 8:6-12) And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt
up. And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of
the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven,
burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name
of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. And the fourth
angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the
stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
NOTES
The 1st 4 trumpets are directed against the things of Nature.• The vegetation (trees)• The sea (Whales, Seals )• The rivers (water and fish ) • The Earths light sources
The last 3 trumpets are directed against Man • The attack of the locusts
A. The 1st
trumpet
(Rev 8:6) And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
(Rev 8:7) The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they
were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was
burnt up.
B. The 2nd
trumpet
(Rev 8:8-9) And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became
blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third
part of the ships were destroyed..
C. The 3rd
trumpet
(Rev 8:10) And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a
lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of
waters.(Rev 8:11) And the name of the star
is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became
wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made
bitter.
D. The 4th
trumpet
(Rev 8:12-13) And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the
moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud
voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
E. The 5th
trumpet
(Rev 9:1) And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him
was given the key of the bottomless pit.
(Rev 9:2) And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a
smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the
smoke of the pit.
NOTES
What is the deal with the 5th trumpet.
What does the number 5 mean in the Bible?
(Rev 9:1) And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless
pit.
(Rev 9:2) And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a
smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the
smoke of the pit.
NOTES
We can see here that the “Star” that falls from heaven is not a real star, like our Sun.
We can also see that this star is not like the burning mountain in the 2nd trumpet, or the star that fell in and 3rd trumpet. Those trumpets use the word “as”.
John in the 5th trumpet use the pronoun “him” to refer to the star.
The star in the 5th trumpet preforms actions that are done by an organism not an object
NOTES
We live in a world that uses the term “Stars” in the same context …
… We look up at the stars in the sky.
… We wish up on a fallen star…
… We go to a theater to see a movie star…
Who is the Star?
Is it Satan?
NOTES
We can compare scripture with scripture and see some things that would apply to Satan.1. Star
(Job 38:7) When the morning stars sang
together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
(Isa 14:12) How art thou fallen from heaven, O
Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
(Rev 1:20) The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right
hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks
which thou sawest are the seven churches.

We can compare scripture with scripture and see some things that would apply to Satan.1. Star2. Fallen
(Luk 10:18) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan
as lightning fall from heaven.
(Isa 14:12) How art thou fallen from heaven, O
Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst
weaken the nations!

(Luk 10:18) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan
as lightning fall from heaven.
(Isa 14:12) How art thou fallen from heaven, O
Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst
weaken the nations!

The other thing to take into account is the ½ way point of the tribulation is at this point…
Chapter 11:2-3 and 7
Chapter 12:3-4 and 6-12 and 14
Chapter 13:5
NOTES
What we can find out is that at 42 mouths, 1260 day, or 3 ½ years there is someone coming up and there is some one coming down
We also know that at this time is when the Anti Christ will be kill in by a deadly head wound
(Rev 13:3) And I saw one of his heads as it were
wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered
after the beast.
(Rev 13:12) And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose
deadly wound was healed.
(Rev 13:13) And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
(Rev 13:14) And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the
sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make
an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
(2Th 2:3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come,
except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of
perdition;
(2Th 2:4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing
himself that he is God.
(2Th 2:5) Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
(2Th 2:6) And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in
his time.
(2Th 2:7) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out
of the way.
(2Th 2:8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume
with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his
coming:
(2Th 2:9) Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power
and signs and lying wonders,
Is it Jesus?
NOTES
The other possibility is that it is Jesus1. Star
(Rev 22:16) I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I
am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and
morning star.
(2Pe 1:19) We have also a more sure word of prophecy;
whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that
shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star
arise in your hearts:
(Num 24:17) I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but
not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy
all the children of Sheth.
(Rev 2:26-28) And he that overcometh, and keepeth my
works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:…
And I will give him the morning star.
NOTES
The other possibility is that it is Jesus1. Star2. Keys
(Rev 1:18) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for
evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
(Rev 20:1-3) And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain
in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the
Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the
bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that
he must be loosed a little season.
(Jud 1:9) Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he
disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing
accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
(Mat 8:28) And when he was come to the other side into the
country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with
devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man
might pass by that way.
(Mat 8:29) And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither
to torment us before the time?
(Luk 8:30) And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
(Luk 8:31) And they besought him that he would not command
them to go out into the deep.
So…Who is the Star?
