From Your Sr. Regent

Hello Moose members,

Fall and the holiday seasons are here. Things get busy and

hectic this time of year, at home and at the lodge.

I know our membership is increasing. Yeah! I would like to

touch on a few reminders for the Chapter applications. Once

an application has been filled out and fees and dues paid, it

then has to be approved by the board of officers, who meet

on the 1st wed of the month. It is then brought to the chapter

floor and voted upon. This process takes a couple of weeks

depending on when the application is turned in, and where

the meetings dates fall. Everyone of the ladies of our chapter

are encouraged to attend to actually find out about Moose-

heart and Moosehaven. And especially if you have signed up

a member to see if the application was received, and if she

has been accepted.

Our next chapter night is October 5th. The chairman is Kris

Tabarez and the thyme is Halloween. We will have the Christ-

mas March for Mooseheart/Moosehaven,

The “children of the corn “Halloween Party is October 23rd.

The Academy of Friendship “Monster Bash” will be October

29th.

Monday night football is in full swing again, serving mini

meals. Every Tuesday is Taco Night. Friday Steak Night is Oc-

tober 14th , and Friday Night October 28th Fried Chicken Din-

ner.

I know money is always a major issue, now more than ever,

but sharing a smile, kind words and respect for one another

does not cost much.

Happy Halloween

Ya Ya to the sisterhood

Janice

From the Governor

Back from Reno with a little less change in pocket! The con-

vention was a good time and informative. We were re-

minded of what “WE’ The Moose are all about. It is easy to

lose sight of the reason we have joined together in the first

place. We as a family fraternity are the sole supporters and

providers of Mooseheart and Moosehaven. Everything we

do is in support of this noble cause. Our children and sen-

iors depend on us. As with so many businesses in this time of

economic uncertainty, we as a non-profit face the same pit-

falls as “for profit business. In our case lost revenue comes

in the form of lost members. If we are to survive we have no

choice but to retain and increase membership. Fortunately

for our lodge is that we have a large, loyal and supportive

membership. I ask for each of us to sign up just 2 new mem-

bers. Save money by not having to pay your renewal dues

and make a huge impact on our lodge. Thank you

I need to thank Cheryl Volden for all her help at the lodge.

Cheryl is extremely busy at many levels and yet still makes

time to help. Thank you

Also Jamie, Diane, Lucille, Eve, Carolanne, Ina, Janice.

Friday night dinners, Taco Tuesday, Monday night football

all brought to you by these ladies.

I know it is early but I will need someone to come forward

to chair the NEW YEARS EVE party.

Contact me or leave me a message

Derrick
