WIZER HYBRID CONFERENCEinTRoducTion To The pRoGRam

The demand for measurable effect in face-to-face meetings is rising as we must all optimize the impact from every dollar spent.

Business Games is an extremely engaging way to create a memorable experience that will actually transform the participants in the process.

Business Games is “experience based learning”. Participants are invited into a highly realistic environment (based on high quality video) where they face a number of challenges that need to be resolved. Typically the problems are complex, and time is limited, so participants are forced to make difficult decisions.

During the experience, each participant are scored – allowing the facilitator to give very specific feedback – and to insert learning – and reflection-points into the experience.

What Business Game aRe we playinG December 16th?

GAME 1: “The elevator pitch”

The elevator pitch is a general format that can easily be adapted to any specific customer challenge. December 16th we will share how it was used at ISS’ recent Top Management Conference in Vienna.

The game goes through the following stages:

1. General briefing in plenary2. Participants prepare their proposal in teams of 4

(break out rooms)3. All record their Elevator Pitch simultaneously on video

(PC webcams)4. All views and evaluates videos from 3 other groups5. Winners shared and commented in plenary

One of the strengths of The elevator pitch is that every participant gets to experience the same task solved in several different ways – including sharing the winners (and sharing why they were better they the rest).

GAME 2: “Eagle Racing”

Eagle Racing is a business game that triggers reflections and learnings about a specific aspect of leadership, namely “collaboration.” The participants take the role of Gianluca, the manager of Eagle Racing, and help him make decisions. From time to time the game stops and participants must decide which choice they think Gianluca should make.

Different choices lead to very different consequences, which means that Eagle Racing has one beginning but eight VERY different endings – from commercial success to total disaster.

Eagle Racing is produced in the quality of a TV series – and includes both serious dilemmas as well as an occasional relieving laugh.

GAME 3: “What a Day”

This will be the North American premiere of the most advanced Business Game ever developed: “What a Day!”

“What a Day!” is about Leadership Effectiveness. The story is the following: You come back from vacation. Three complex challenges are waiting for you and many people are pushing for you to make decisions. But not all is as it seems from the first look, and there is too little time to explore all options (sounds familiar?).

“What a Day!” has two phases: 1. The Game Experience - where all play the best they can. 2. The Debriefing where you receive feedback on 8 different performance indicators – and where Professor Albert adds key learning points about leadership effectiveness and use this to fuel deep discussions about finding the optimal balance in an intense work life.
