Resurrection: Maybach will Restart This November

Expected to cost more than two S600s.

Two years after killing off the Maybach brand, Mercedes-Benz is reportedly about to reintroduce thenameplate, this time as a line-topping, longer wheelbase, ultra-luxury S Class for the uber-rich.Costing double the price of a fully loaded Mercedes S600, the Maybach model is expected to besimultaneously introduced this coming November at the Los Angeles Auto Show and GuangzhouMotor Show. According to a Reuters report, it will feature luxuries like �soft-touch leatherand bespoke materials.�

In the spy shots we recently showed you, the Maybach S Class sports epic dimensions, adding about7.5-inches to the already stretched, long-wheelbase S. In this price range, Mercedes will be takingon some tough competition from well-established luxury brands like Rolls Royce and Bentley. AsReuters points out, since 2012 � when Maybach ceased operations � there are twomillion new millionaires in the world. Certainly several of those individuals will be excited to flauntsome of that cash with a Maybach limousine in their garage.
