Issues concerning CREMATION
Cremation has become very common in the last decades.
There are many reasons that can lead a person, or the family
to choose it. While is true that the Catholic church does not
prohibits Cremation, not all who choose it are allowed a
Catholic Funeral; there are some requirements to be
followed. If you are interested in knowing more about it,
come for an evening conversation with Fr. Carlos. The
Catholic guidelines for funeral will be presented, especially
regarding cremation. There will also be a time for questions
and answers. Please call the office to reserve a place until
Monday, September 9th.

Comfort for grief
from loss of a loved one, often comes
from love and support of family and
friends. After the funeral, when family and friends
have returned home, the need for that comfort may continue. If you
have need for such continued comfort, please join Deacon Jack and Marilyn and Deacon Vincent
Beckles at a Grief support gathering at 7:00 p.m. the second Monday of the month, room 13 in the Parish
Hall. Reservations are not required.
We often find ourselves wishing we could pray
regularly and with more intimacy with God, but how do we learn and develop that ability?
The Prayer and Life Workshops is a unique program, teaching a variety of prayer methods
of providing a structure for daily practice. In 15-weeks we heal from life's wounds and learn to imitate
Jesus in humility and love.

We are so grateful to these 80 catechists who will proclaim the Gospel with their words and their
lives. They will form our youth with prayer and experiences of Christ. They will assist our students
to be prayerful and merciful during this Year of Mercy. They will teach justice and peace-making
skills to help us live the community of faith that Jesus intended us to be. We thank them and we
pray for them. They along with Father Carlos, Father Vincenzo, Father Bob, Father Dat and Deacon
Fred, Deacon Vincent and Deacon Jack will evangelize our young people and form our church.

attended the Diocese of Orlando Educator Kick Off Day along with all the Catholic School Educators in the diocese. At this event, our PK4/VPK
teacher, Mrs. Joanne Brown, was awarded The Distinguished Catholic School Educator Award. Mrs. Brown has been a dedicated teacher at our
preschool for 20 years! She has touched the lives of many families
