Space Exploration Technologies Hawthorne, CA Mission Manager – Mission & Launch Operations ~ $500mil - $1bil responsibility Primary Mission Manager on two successful Dragon Capsule Missions to

the International Space Station, secondary or tertiary role in the remainder of the first 8 missions to the ISS.

Relentless customer interaction fostering a lasting positive relationship with SpaceX’s primary customer (NASA). Equally comfortable talking to the NASA’s top executives and truck drivers.

Constant interaction and presentation to top level customer and internal executives. Strong leadership by example when required, proper delegation and effective empowerment otherwise. Master of comfortable accountability with peers.

Capture of greater than $500 million in financial milestones. Proposal development, presentation, sales, and execution for modification

and sub contracts to a multi-billion dollar customer contract. Excellent sales persona.

Oversee integration of various space payloads to launch vehicles (cargo). Team player with internal engineering insuring customer understands what is needed and finishes work with ultimate satisfaction. Turn wrenches / execute tests as required.

Take part in “On Console” launch campaigns, go / no go calls, sit with highest ranking NASA and SpaceX executives during launch running all Mission data systems (providing status / training on streaming data).

Responsible for all sub contracts developing flight specific robotic hardware for unpressurized cargo deployment. All Dragon Trunk Cargo to date deployed robotically successfully.

Develop all process improvement methodology for the Mission Management Department under direction of the VP.

Other items of note: Manage schedule of multiple programs concurrently, requirements generation and oversight (Interface Control Documentation, database implementation and layout), proficient in all Launch Vehicle related government agency approvals (ITAR, Range, FAA, FCC, State Department, etc.), involvement in all robotic engineering decisions relative to Dragon Trunk Cargo, training of junior Mission Managers, present “On Console” for all 8 Dragon Missions.

Program Manager, Project Engineer ~$20mil responsibility Successfully delivered the Mars Science Lab Robotic Arm to Jet Propulsion

Laboratory (JPL), the largest program ever attempted by MDA Alliance, under budget, and on time.

Responsible as Program Manager (and often dual role as Project Engineer) for various subsystems and primary structure for the Mars Science Lab. Yes, I have hardware I penned on Mars.

Full fiscal and management responsibility for programs often blanketing the entire company (schedule, milestones, requirements, production, etc.). Technical oversight from upper level down to drawing check. Help with test and final assembly when required. No problem too big or too small. Participate in mechanical design / analytical work as required.

Modification / Upgrade larger than life wind and water tunnels, build custom digital cameras, data systems, execute large scale experiments (including propulsion and shock focusing) safely and effectively.

Proposal creation. Mentor students on applied engineering concepts. Teach lab courses to undergrads and first year grad students.

2000-2001 Pacific Bell Sacramento, CA Outside Plant Loop Planning Engineer Project scheduling, cost forecasting, iteration of possible engineering

solutions in pursuit of “best cost” solution, creating planning drawings and mappings, and project management are all aspects of the production and execution of a Pacific Bell Engineering Plan or Job.

1999-2000 EFI Technology Torrance, CA Systems / Support Engineer Design / implementation of custom racing data systems and fuel injection

systems for the Indy Racing League and Endurance Racing series. Track side support for an entire season of Indy Racing League races and

practices. Support various endurance races at the upper echelon of the sport (eg. 24 Hours of Daytona).

o Assist race engineers with data interpretation / car setup both during and post-race.

o Tune endurance engines on engine dyno’s.

PRESENT Team Leader, Driver, Mechanic … Endurance Racing – Co-Founder, Team Leader, Driver, Mechanic and

general instigator of all things related to “Marvin the Martian Racing” a “ChumpCar” racing team.

o Victorious in multiple 16 and 24 hour racing events. 3rd in year ending Championship race twice. We will WIN that race eventually or die trying.

Various other amateur racing experience. All cars self-owned, and self-prepared including cage construction, suspension design / tuning, engine / dyno work, and testing.
