What is the purpose of Resume?
The purpose of a resume is to provide a summary of your skills, knowledge, abilities and accomplishments.
It is a quick advertisement of who you are.

“Your resume is to get you an interview, not a job”

1.Header At the top of your resume, include the following information:
Your full nameResidential Address E-mail Address Contact number

Cont’d Make sure your email address is professional. e.g. don't use something like; “[email protected]”.
It is not necessary to label your resume “Resume of” at the top of the page.
Don’t include your photo.

2.Objective:
A short statement that tells the employer what specific position you are applying for.
Keep the employer’s requirement in mind while writing the objective.

Objective Examples:For Human resources: Seeking a position as a Human Resources
Intern with prospect where I can apply my HR knowledge derived from my degree.
Position as Human Resources Workforce Operations Specialist.

3.EducationIn this portion write all educational
qualification from class 10 till present.
Write all your qualification in a reverse chronological order;
i.e. the latest qualification on top.

4.Experience This can include work experience,
internship experience.To see if you have done anything

State dates and relevant places on employment.

creative skills and abilities.
With the advance of technology, it is increasingly important to include a section on computer skills.

references, not personal acquaintances.
Make sure your references are aware you are using them so they're prepared to talk about you.

The Resume Don’ts:
Don’t include personal information: like age, height, weight, date of birth, marital status, sex, ethnicity, health, religion, or political affiliations.
Don’t use colorful paper – white, buff or beige is standard.

Don’t say you were laid off or fired from your last position. Save it for the interview.

The Resume DO’s:Do make your resume clear, concise and easy to read.
Use professional, easy-to-read fonts (e.g., Arial, Times New Roman, Garamond, etc.)
