SPECIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS Improving rig performance, setting personal goals and achieving

The introduction of Oil Base Mud (diesel based) to drill formations that hind eared and threatened the successful completion of the well drilled was a change, as oil spillage was a major concern to the environment.
Pre-job safety meetings were held to highlight health hazards that could be encountered with the use o OBM. The crews were encouraged to report any discomforts or illness immediately to the medic to avoid future ailments Ensured that the proper PPE was used and available all the time.

The trail of Diesel OBM was successful operationally, but had an impact on health issues with the employees. All complaints and medical reports were recorded. The use of diesel based OBM was found to the harsh on humans if exposed to vapors for a longer period of time. Diesel based OBM was replaced by synthetic based OBM eventually.
