ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.New Model Development of Parts (Sheet Metal & sub-assemblies)

a) Conducting Specification meetings

Co ordination for conducting kick off meeting between Supplier and customer along with Design team,

Supplier Quality Assurance team and supply chain of both the sides

Complete development plan right from design proto till start of production will be discussed

Technical points regarding performance, durability, material used for the part, raw material source,

manufacturing process, manufacturing of jigs and tool, instruments for inspection of parts., process

requirement like process capability etc. packing standard while dispatching to customer.

Validations of proto parts and buy off tool and process parts along with quality assurance department.

b) Assembly trial for parts:

Conducting fitment trial and performance in different stages of production like production proto, mass

production proto, pilot production and SOP.

c) Quality Review of Parts

Monitoring and implementing counter measures for the problems observed by quality assurance department

during Static Quality Review (SQR) and Dynamic Quality Review (DQR) in different stage of development

of parts from design proto to SOP.

d) Part Process Control

Preparing plan for conducting process audit and inspection of parts for MARU A(critical parts) and

functional parts before/after SOP,

Conducting process audit for critical and functional component in regular intervals after SOP.

e) Initial Flow control

Monitoring of parts in new model and localizer parts for 3 months after SOP by adding special check

points in receipt stage and patrol inspection.

2. Component Quality Revalidation

Validation of incoming parts through Receipt inspection

Responsible for Vendor Up gradation through Process Assessment

To witness the COP testing for regulation parts at inhouse and outside agency

To Witness the Part Performance test at Supplier end

Verification of critical parts through monthly inspection reports

Responsible for Tier2/3 supplier upgradation through Process Assessment

3. Localization of parts

Localization of parts in India from Knock Down parts along with engineering team.

Activities includes selection of vendor along with supply chain, development of parts along with

engineering , monitoring development plan, endurance and performance test.

Conducting First Production Part (FPP) trials of localized parts.

Taking counter measures for the problems occurred during FPP trial at vendor’s end.

4. Co ordination for Warranty claims Coordination with quality assurance and concern person in charge of part and vendor. Analysis of problem by 3G method. Coordination of necessary counter measures and explanation of counter measure in Market Problem Counter

Measure (MPCR) meeting.
