About Me I was born in San Francisco, CA. Throughout most of my early life I was innately interested in the world around me, and I constantly played with different things in my backyard, experimenting and otherwise acting upon my curiosity. It was in these moments where I discovered my love of music, and when I picked up the violin at the age of seven, I began a journey of learning the intricacies of an instrument that was so small but powerful at the same time. I was also immensely interested in technology and computer software development, and this led to the creation of my own business, aditusProjects. I designed websites and installed database security, doing my best to give small businesses an affordable access to internet advertising and the promotion their online footprint. I am a firm believer that technology is one of the most practical forms of scientific, economic, and social application of human knowledge in order to design and build a functional, livable world. I have been an advocate of this mindset and am working to blend my fields of interest in Philosophy and technology, along with my love of music into something great. ExperienceFOUNDER - ADITUSRPROJECTS — 2011-PRESENT

I started my own company in high school that focused on IT support and web/graphic design. Had vari-ous duties ranging from equipment installation to consultation on oper-ating system, & hardware upgrades. Over the course of two years, I made websites for half a dozen pri-vately owned business, as well as traveling throughout the Bay Area to do follow-up work and system in-tegration. Furthermore, this job al-lowed me to do IT support; such as building custom computers per cus-tomer requirements and installing various tools such as point-of-sale systems for restaurant operations.PRIVATE TUTORING — SUMMER OF 2015Tutored students throughout the Bay Area ranging from 5th to 11th grade. Over the course of the sum-mer, I was concentrated in improv-ing reading comprehension as well as analysis. With the lower level students, I was able to offer help and saw improvement in fields of mathematics and basic biology. With the older students, I focused on preparing them for AP level classes as well as work in increasing their vocabulary and writing abili-ties. With all my tutors I encouraged critical thinking as well as whole-heartedly engaging in one’s aca-demics.

with a concentration in Ethical Stud-ies within Philosophy. During the 2nd

semester of my sophomore year, I discovered a deep interest in Bud-dhist and Confucian studies within numerous texts and ideologies from multiple disciplines. During my time at UOP, I was advised by Dr. Ray Rennard in the Philosophy depart-ment and Dr. Tanya Storch in Reli-gious Studies.I was also part of the UOP Humani-ties Scholars, a program that inter-viewed and accepts only selects 10 students annually, within this pro-gram I was offered an accelerated but enriching educational experi-ence along with a career focus as well as a large emphasis in lending aid to the community. I am currently working on a re-search project titled “A philosophi-cal insight into how the values and traditions of Asian culture are being undermined in American society” In my paper, I look to examine why Asian-Americans have existed in our own niche throughout the past two centuries, whereas we’re seen to academically and financially suc-cessful, it is seldom that Asian-Americans have broken out of this shell. Furthermore, the traditions and mentality taught to us as chil-dren is seen as weak and submis-sive in modern-day American cul-ture.

SkillsI am classically trained in both violin and guitar under Yuri Cho and Jon Mendle of the San Francisco Conser-vatory of Music, respectively. I stud-ied violin since the age of 7 and by

the time I was 13 I was engaging heavily in higher-level music pieces such as concertos. I moved into pri-vate lessons with both tutors and am very fluent in the musical lan-guage. I pride myself on being highly ob-servant of the world around me. I am able to learn new tasks very quickly and often find myself creat-ing ways to apply my newfound skills in different manners. I have al-ways been a more reserved person but due to this I have an ability to work great under high-stress or high-pressure environments. I tend to use logical thinking instead of emotional in my everyday life and because of this I work well with oth-ers.

In early 2011 I designed and managed Camino Corner’s restaurant and later moved onto helping manage Fort Mckinley’s. In 2015 I tutored her son over the course of the sum-mer and saw dramatic improvement in his ability to write essays, which prepared him greatly for his AP classes.DR. DR. TANYA STARCH | 209-946-2533 - PROFESSOR OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES AT UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFICHaving been the opposite of reli-gious all my life, Professor Storch opened my eyes to the necessity of religion in many people’s lives. Whether it brings hope, happiness, or the affirmation of something greater after one’s time on Earth. After taking many of her classes, I discussed my research project with her and she currently advises me, primarily focusing on Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoist teachings.
