Comenius meeting in Hamburg/Varde 22 – 26 April 2013

The students’ presentation (product/service)

1. What do you think about the different presentations of the students? Explain!

Czech Republic: Each presentation was very original and well prepared. The idea of the Luxembourgish team was the best one. But we could see that the German and Danish students also worked very hard.

Denmark: The presentations were very exciting; there were a lot of good ideas and a lot to think about. We are glad, that Denmark was a part of it.

Germany: Everybody was very creative and the presentations were very interesting. Every country had different ideas and approaches, so you could see a great diversity, what has made it hard to take a decision. We could see the effort made by every country. But sometimes you couldn’t understand the people because of the language level.

Iceland: Some presentations were very well done, well prepared and well preformed but not all.

Luxembourg: Some of the presentations can’t be realized in our country. We think that the German presentation was one of the best.

Spain: All the presentations were very different, it was really interesting.

2. Do you think that your preparation for this meeting was well done?

Czech Republic: We spent a lot of time preparing everything. Everybody worked hard and did his best.

Denmark: Our presentation was good, but we were not the best, the other countries were more prepared than we.

1

Germany: Yes, we worked out a business plan and tried to make the stay of the guests as well as we could.

Iceland: Yes, because we worked very hard on it, so we think it was very good.

Luxembourg: Yes, very well.

Spain: Our presentation was well done, but we didn’t know that we had to define more the profit of the company.

3. Do you have had enough information for preparing your presentation?

Czech Republic: Yes, we have enough information for preparing our presentation. We could look up in the internet, other projects or from our school subject.

Denmark: We hadn’t enough information, because we hadn’t enough time to make the presentations.

Germany: Yes, but we think some of the ideas crossed each other e.g. the idea of creating a tourist office, therefore it would have been nice to know if someone had exactly the same idea as another group. Maybe a neutral person could have had a look on that.

Iceland: We worked very much on it, we also met an advisor about making companies.

Luxembourg: Yes, because our teachers had a lot of information for us.

Spain: We hadn’t enough information.

4. How do you evaluate the schedule of the meeting?

Czech Republic: The schedule of the meeting was well prepared. It was very funny.

Denmark: It was good, because we knew a lot of new people and we saw a lot of the city, but there was a lot of waiting time.

Germany: It was a very important meeting and we have made it pretty fast, so we haven’t had enough time for activities and leisure time.

Iceland: The schedule was well done, we have lot of good memories.

Luxembourg: In Hamburg, the schedule of the meeting was very good, but the schedule in Varde wasn’t well organized.

Spain: It was great, because we had time to have fun and to work too.

The workshop (legal form of the international company)

5. Did you like the workshop? Explain your choice!

Czech Republic: Some workshops were very interesting. The first workshop was a bit boring.

Denmark: It was boring, because we knew a lot of it before.

Germany: It was a bit repetitive and would have been more interesting and fun if more people would have participated.

Iceland: It was ok, it could have been more funny.

Luxembourg: No, because some of the workshops were very difficult and some international groups didn’t work together.

Spain: Yes it was good, because we like economics.

2 meetings in one

6. Did you like the idea of 2 meetings in one week, Hamburg and Varde?

Czech Republic: We really enjoyed it, it was a great idea. But we could have stayed a bit longer in Varde.

Denmark: Yes, but the time in both countries was too short.

Germany: Yes, we liked it very well, but the time was too short.

Iceland: Yes, we liked it a lot.

Luxembourg: No, because it was very stressful and we didn’t see enough from Hamburg and Varde. Also, we hadn’t enough time to connect with our host families.

Spain: Yes, we liked the idea, because we could see two countries and two cultures in one week, it was very interesting.

The rallye and the visits

7. Did you like the rallye in Hamburg …

Czech Republic: Yes because we saw many places in Hamburg.

Denmark: Yes, it is a beautiful city.

Germany: It was very fun, but the students weren’t so motivated.

3

Iceland: Yes, it was interesting

Luxembourg: The rallye in Hamburg was good organized, but some international groups didn’t see everything. The time was too short and the groups didn’t work well together.

Spain: Yes, we liked it.

8. … and the visits in Denmark?

Czech Republic: We enjoyed the visits a lot but again we should have stayed longer.

Denmark: It was fine.

Germany: It was beautiful, but always the same.

Iceland: It was very great, because, we understand Danish, so we could speak Danish.

Luxembourg: The visit in Varde wasn’t so interesting, but the bustrip was very beautiful and informative.

Spain: It was very interesting, but too short and Hamburg was better.

9. Did you miss something you wanted to see / to visit / to know?

Czech Republic: We didn’t miss anything.

Denmark: No, we don’t think so.

Germany: No.

Iceland: Yes, the apple store.

Luxembourg: Personally, we wanted to see the “Speicherstadt” and we missed a harbour tour.

Luxembourg: The atmosphere during the meeting was very relaxing and pleasant.

Spain: Yes, it was a very good atmosphere, because we knew a lot of people.

11.To what extend has this visit broadened your knowledge of the host countries? Explain!

Czech Republic: We only knew where the countries are situated. Now we also know a lot more about the countries and their culture. We learned a lot about their lifestyles and habits. We never thought that we would go to Denmark and one day we’ll go back there. The German people were very nice and friendly and so were the Danish people as well.

Denmark: We found out that Germany is a very beautiful country.

12.Do you think the objectives of this meeting were achieved? Explain!

Czech Republic: The main objectives for the meeting were creating a common company, meeting new people becoming our friends and training our English. We think that all these objectives were achieved.

Denmark: Yes, because we made friends and decided which product we should take for our company.

Germany: Yes, because we decided on one project and we met a lot of new friends so all the objectives are achieved.

Iceland: Yes, we’ve got to decide an idea for the company we are going to work with, made new friends and we went back home with good memories.

Luxembourg: Yes, because the culture exchange was very good and interesting.

Spain: Yes. We think one of the objectives of this meeting was to practice English learn more about economy and companies, learn how to make a company and meet new friends from everywhere.

13.What could be done better in the next meeting?

Czech Republic: It was a great meeting and we hope that the meeting in the Czech Republic will be as good as this one was. But maybe the first workshop shouldn’t be so difficult and we could have stayed a bit longer.

Denmark: It should have more activities, and NO WAITING TIME!

Germany: If there is another meeting where the time is split up between two countries, we have to divide it more equally and we can maybe write our name on a piece of paper and put it on our clothes, so we wouldn’t have problems to remind all the names.

Iceland: The meeting have to be planned better and the countries should not work as much together.

Luxembourg: Better organisation for Denmark and better workshops for the next time.

Spain: The food could be better and better organisation, but it was amazing.
