One of the most challenging task for any CIO today is to pace up with the transforming working style. New business environment requires availability to information anytime, anywhere. Technology is increasing the array of mobile devices, wireless networks, and related services.

No wonder 40% readers chose Mobility as the most relevant IT trend for organizations. Organizations are increasingly migrating from Desktops to Laptops to Tablets to Phablets to Smart Phones. Today, business mobile users make up more than 30% of all subscribers with almost 66% office users accessing their emails on smart phones. After Mobility, organizations foresee Cloudas the next significant trend, With over 36% of the readers giving priority to Cloud/ SaaS adoption.Cloud allows IT expenditure to be saved drastically as organizations don’t have to invest in capital expenditure, and also allow scalability.

Compared to Mobility and Cloud, other trends such as Big Data Analytics, DevOps and Agile Application Development do not seem to be on the top priority for leading CIOs. Cost effectiveness, efficiency and productivity seem to be the prime concerns for these industry peers right now.
