Fabric C (Special fabric for silicones)The reinforcement weave Fabric C is processed in combination with ELASTOSIL® C 150 and/or C 1200 in order to manufacture reusable,accurately fitting, fabric reinforced silicone vacuum bags for the cost effective production of composite components.The weave exhibits good elasticity and improves the mechanical properties of the finished vacuum bags.

ELASTOSIL® C 1200 and ELASTOSIL® C 150 are platinum cross-linked, two component silicone rubbers which exhibit low viscosity andvulcanise within a few minutes at room temperature without shrinking. Using ELASTOSIL® C 1200 and ELASTOSIL® C 150, it is possible torapidly manufacture reusable, accurately fitting, fabric reinforced silicone vacuum bags using a spray or lay-up method. The bags exhibitconstant properties over a broad range of temperatures. This enables them to be reused in autoclaves or ovens, as required. Up to 100 cyclesare possible.

Sphere.CoreSphere.Core SP is a flat material of chopped polyester strands volumised with embedded thermoplastic microspheres.

Sphere.Core SBC is a new developed mat of volumised glass fibre. Sphere.Core is generally laminated as a core material between two pliesof glass fabric to yield a lightweight „mini” sandwich.

Differentiating features:Sphere.Core is always used to produce a lightweight, low-priced, and easily manufactured laminate.

Processing:Sphere.Core is processed in the hand lay-up laminate like the classical chopped fibre mats or fabrics and can be impregnated either outside orinside the mould, where care must be taken that the material is impregnated to complete saturation. In most cases UP resin is used whosestyrene content softens the material after impregnation, eliminating creases in the production of complex moulds as well.Yet also vinyl ester, PU, acrylic, epoxy, and phenolic resins can be used.

Industrial buffer (Remainder)

Further development of the standard buffer

These buffers are manufactured from strips of 100 % cotton fabric cut at an angle of 45° to the warps and weftsand laid in rings around a solid core of cardboard. This structure prevents fluffing almost completely and istherefore ideal for use on non-stationary machines. Owing to the trimming material’s wave profile, oscillationsare imparted indirectly to the buffer and the heat generated by the work is essentially reduced.

This latter is a particular advantage when plastics and varnishes are polished.

Approx. 20 mm in width, the single rings can be clamped together to form larger widths without gaps (up tothree rings on the one arbor).
