MY ONLY DREAM By: Dore Stansbury W.M..

E-dah ho Chapter#77

The cold deep snow of winter Has become a mound of slush.

No wonder whenever I think of it I turn into quivering mush.

It's said a man's only thoughts are of love

In the warmth of early spring. And granted that really may be so. But I'm focused on a greater thing.

There's money in my pocket

I've worked real hard to earn. I'll pay for all those important fees

Then my fate I soon will learn.

I dream of following the Masonic path My father carved for me.

To be the kind of man he was I hope is my destiny.

There is nothing that I cannot do.

I'll master every test. I want to become a Mason As men, they are the best.

Eastern Star Chapters of the Grand Chapter of Idaho

RE: Heating and Air Conditioning System, Rainbow Supreme Assembly Headquarters, McAlester, OK Emergency Request Capital Project Campaign March 1 to June 1, 2018

Dear Eastern Star Sisters and Brothers,

Our Washington Idaho Rainbow jurisdiction has been notified of an emergency need to save our Rainbow Supreme Assembly Headquarters located in McAlester, Oklahoma. This historic building was build in 1953 from funds raised by the membership over many years. It is a beautiful building full of memories and historical Rainbow paraphernalia and is the center of our Rainbow world as we know it. Unfortunately, over the years it has been difficult to maintain to the degree necessary to keep up with more modern heating and air conditioning equipment. It can no longer be fixed as the parts are no longer available. The building is facing the necessity of an estimated $600,000 HVAC replacement to keep it functional and save the structure as the Rainbow headquarters of the world. This amount will also allow for a reserve maintenance account for our future and should avoid the necessity of these emergency requests. Time is of the essence and the funds are needed immediately.

Supreme Assembly has shared the bid information with all the Rainbow Jurisdictions in an urgent plea for help. We will be happy to share this information upon your request. This request is to be a onetime only event dedicated to this project only. Each jurisdiction must rely on their own resources to do their fair share. We have done a proration of total worldwide membership and estimated it would cost about $90 per member. Washington Idaho membership is approximately 420 members, which would mean our fair share would be $37,800.

We do not want to put this burden on our assemblies if we can avoid it. We will be going to our Alumni and our Sponsoring bodies to request donations on a one time donation request campaign that will run from March ist to June 1st. At that time we will review our status. However, we promise not to come back to those we have already made requests from for this one time capital project campaign. We would certainly appreciate your consideration to help us with this commitment.

If you can find it in your hearts to help us save our historic Supreme Assembly headquarters, please make your checks payable to WAID Rainbow with a memo "HVAC Supreme" and mail to Mrs. Kris Arnold, GEC Finance, 6302 Parker Rd. E., Sumner, WA 98390. As a jurisdiction, we must track our donations. We are a 501C3 organization, however we can't raise funds to benefit our organization. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Mrs. Barbara Brown, Past Supreme Inspector, House of Gold, 19131 2nd Ave. NW, Shoreline, WA 98177, phone 206-546-6837 or Judith Scott, GEC Chair WAID Rainbow, 309 W. 6th St., Port Angeles, WA 98362, phone 360-457-6783.

Thank you for your consideration, /);±!;,__~· ·
