ABOUT THIS COURSE
PRE-REQUISITES
It is a mandatory requirement for anyone involved in the service and supply of alcohol, to hold a current OLGR approved Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate. This includes bar staff, security staff, and venue managers. New employees must complete the RSA course within 30 days of commencement of employment.
RAM Training Services runs the 1/2 day (4 hours) RSA course on a regular basis out of Southport on the Gold Coast, and Woolloongabba and West End in Brisbane. This course can also be run at your premises for group bookings, anywhere in Queensland.
There are no pre-requisites to complete this course; however we do recommend a Grade 10 (or equivalent) level of English reading and writing.
COSTThe fee for this course is just $75.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS
Anyone working in a licensed venue is required to complete this course, according to Queensland legislation. Venue Managers, licensees and nominees are also required to hold a Responsible Management of Licensed Venues certificate as well – please contact us for more information.
This OLGR approved RSA course teaches participants the skills required to comply with Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, as well as the legal responsibilities related to the service and provision of alcohol.
Woolloongabba, West End and Southport
On successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units covered.
Assessments will be marked within 3 business days of submission. The possible assessment results are ‘Competent’ (C), which means that you have earned a Statement of Attainment for the unit/s of competency assessed, or ‘Not Yet Competent’ (NYC), which means that either the evidence you submitted was of an unsatisfactory standard, or not complete. If you obtain a ‘NYC’ result, your assessor will work with you on achieving competency.
REFUNDSA 20% non-refundable registration fee is payable on enrolment to this course. The balance of the program fees are to be paid in full 7 days prior to the date the student wishes to commence studying. Should circumstances prevent an enrolled client from attending after they have paid for their program, the non-refundable component is retained by RAM Training Services to cover administration costs. The balance of the remaining fees is refunded providing the client advises of their non-attendance with 5 business days notice prior to course commencement. Clients who have commenced training and no longer wish to continue with their training program forfeit their registration fee and are refunded 50% of their remaining fees calculated pro rata.
