Festival of Instrumental Music—Sydney Opera House

Last week 7 of our students performed at the Sydney Opera House playing the recorder. They had a fantastic time away and the performance was spectacular. Congratulations to our wonderful students and their excellent behaviour. Many thanks must go to Mrs Jo Collins, Mr Stuart Alcock & Mr Mark Henry for chaperoning the students. A special thanks also to the Rotary Club of Bega, Merimbula RSL Club, Rotary Club of Merimbula and Bega RSL Club for their support of this excursion.

On Sunday the 28th July seven students from stage 3

went to Sydney for recorder performance at the

Sydney Opera House.

The students were; Cooper. A, Denton, Emma, Riley,

Levi, Ginger and Jaimee and the teachers who accom-

panied us were Stuart and Mrs Collins.

On Monday we walked across the Sydney Harbour

Bridge then we went to Luna Park. We then caught a

ferry back to Circular Quay and then we went to the

Opera House to practice. Practice went for 2 hours and

then we caught the train to Central Station and then

walked to Starbucks and went back to the Meriton

Suites and got ready and then we went to China Town

for dinner. After that we went to the Opera House to

perform. The next day we went to the Power House

Museum and then we went home.
