School Closure - Adelaide Show: Friday September 7th
Book Week Dress Up Day — Find your Treasure
Our school community had lots of fun dressing up for the Book
Week “Find Your Treasure” parade on August 22nd.
Thank you to the families who supported this special day!
All staff had the opportunity to visit Blair Athol Birth-7 School. This school has an
innovative approach to schooling. Belonging, being and becoming are central in their
work. They deliver a curriculum that fosters discovery, inquiry creativity and
curiosity for learners. We are in the process of reflection and investigating how
these concepts may support our work.
Mr. Gilbert knitted
on the bus.

On Tuesday 28th August, Fraser Park
Preschool-7 School participated in the
Murraylands Football Carnival against
Tyndale Christian College and Murray
Bridge North School. The emphasis of the
Carnival was on having a go and giving
students a chance to play football that
hadn't previously played before. The
majority of our students were first time
players and did really well putting the
training they had been doing at school into
practice. They also showed good
sportsmanship towards the umpires
and the opposition teams. The students
were encouraged to use their School
Values and did particularly well in
persevering against some very good
opposition players.
Well Done Fraser! Cheers Russell
FRASER PROFILE
Scientific reports: The students in Kungari, Wa:nyi and Wuldi are focused on learning about the Murray Cod (Pondi) in their book study lessons.
Non-fiction titles such as: Fishes on the Murray-Darling Basin by Mark Lintermans and Why am I a Fish? By
Greg Pyers help to engage students in their learning of facts and how to report them. We have also shared the story of Ngarrindjeri from Ngarrindjeri Dreaming Stories. This is one of the titles in our Ngarrindjeri Persona Doll Packs. The story begins by explaining what happened when Ngarrindjeri saw Pondi, the giant Murray Cod and began to chase him down stream. *Ask your child if they can tell you about Pondi*

“We acknowledge that the lands on which the Fraser Park Preschool-7 School are located on are the traditional lands for the Ngarrindjeri people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their
country and acknowledge that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Ngarrindjeri people today.” Nguldi Arndu (Welcome)
