National Harbor Come and enjoy some time near the water. Grab some lunch or browse

Saturday, October 5, 2019 Depart Center at 9:30 a.m. and leave venue at 1:30 p.m.

Trip to the African American History Museum We are off to the newest Smithsonian Museum. Cost: $1 for the bus

Thursday, October 17, 2019 Depart Center at 10:15 a.m. & leave Museum at 1:00 p.m.

You may bring a lunch/snack and eat it on the bus or eat at “Sweet Home Café” located in the museum.

Important Trip Information Center trips are for current members of the center. Non-members can no longer go on center trips. The only exception are Advisory Council

trips; they are run by our Advisory Council.

10 a.m.—2 p.m.

Meal Program

• You may register for the meal program by completing an application.

• You are considered a guest until the application is completed.

• You have a choice of a hot lunch, vegetarian hot lunch, chef salad, fruit salad, or box lunch.

• Orders for these meals can be taken a week in advance, or you may call in your choice AT LEAST one day prior to when you plan to attend.

Meal Charges

Guests under age 60, out-of-county residents, or unregistered participants: $8.50 per

meal. Lunch is served daily at noon. Please note that lunches must be eaten in the

dining room and may not be taken home. You must be present by 12:15 p.m. or you are

counted as a no show.

Membership

The membership fee is $48 per year - less than $1 a week. You are welcome to visit for the day for a day free of charge before you pay the membership fee. A variance price waiver is available if your income is $28,102 per year or less. Proof of income for the waiver is required.

Acceptable forms of income include: Letter of Award from the Social Security Administration; statement of monthly/pension benefits; employer paystub; or see staff for list of additional acceptable proofs.

We are delighted to welcome prospective members, 50 years of age or older, to all

Fairfax County Senior Centers.

To qualify for membership, please review the back of our application form for eligi-

bility and terms of membership/code of conduct.
