The Picture Exchange Communication System® (PECS®) is a successful approach that uses pictures to develop communication skills. It is appropriate for children and adults with a wide range of learning and communication difficulties including autism. Easy to access, affordable to implement and scientifically supported as one of the most effective communication interventions, PECS is an opportunity to open the door to spontaneous communication.

PECS® Discrimination Training Alternatives - Set of 3 DVDs These easy-to-follow DVDs will assist anyone whose student, child or service-user is having difficulty selecting between pictures, i.e. stuck at Phase III of PECS. Over the three DVDs, a variety of strategies are demonstrated to help with discrimination. This DVD set is a great support resource for those who have attended the PECS Basic Training and an excellent addition to a resource library.

Module 2 looks at the benefits of different types of pictures, such as colour, black and white, or photograph etc, and includes a very useful reminder of the 4-step error correction.

Faulty items: Please examine the goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and advise us of any fault or defect with a reasonable time. Should any fault develop within 6 months of the purchase date we will assume that the fault was there when we sold you this item and we will offer you a replacement. We ask that the faulty item be returned to us and we will pay for the item to be returned. Outside of this 6 month warranty the consumer will be responsible for replacement of the faulty item. Shipping We will use our best endeavours to dispatch your goods within 2-3 (working) days following receipt of your order. During busy periods or official office closure such as Christmas, dispatch times can be slightly delayed but will generally be despatched within 1 to 7 (working) days. If you place your order online you will usually receive an email from us advising that your order has been despatched. If any reasonable or unavoidable delay arises which are genuinely beyond our control we will contact you as soon as possible. Orders will be despatched via Royal Mail parcel post or by courier depending on value of the order.
