This sheet shows a simple layout for resource management among 5 tools with different capacity. Pankaj Rathi rathpankajj @ gmail. com

At the top of the sheet, the green columns (conditional formatting) show the utilization of 5 tools). On the left are the ongoing projects and to the right are the finished projects showing history. In columns K and V, % of various priorities are shown as a horizontal bar with the percentages in columns M and X. These bar charts are expected to priority management and can be a metric of their usage. For example, of we do not see a particulare priority used at all then there is a good reason to drop it :)

The sheet is protected without password

Instructions for use:Data must be entered only in cells A118:K5000 cells. If additional rows/cells are required then add them within this range and not outside to preserve the formulae.Do not allocate a project to multiple tools since it will cause error in calculation. Instead, split the project in different lines to allocate it to different tools. If a project is over or under allocated to tools then the tool cells will turn redInput as many fields as possible for the best outcome. Seek input from project managers for the priority , due date and preference for the tool used. Provide a due date based on resources availableIf a project is past due then the row will turn orangeIf a project is finished (only idicated by input finish date) then the row will have 'hashed' markingThe orange filled cells are for capacity input for each tool
