DELTA overview Originated:
To meet the need of allowing practitioners to share case-studies Increase the awareness of pedagogical theory associated with case-studies Grow-context around resources
Evolving into: Distributed resource-sharing Multiple resource types Extensible ontology-based search, ‘social software’
Not a resource repository per se. More than a repository:
Provides means of describing and pointing to resources located in repositories located elsewhere. Resources classified by pedagogical approach associated with them Ability to search for particular resources and related resources. Resource review mechanism to allow resources to grow in context.

A toolkit that will maintain individuals personal profiles and will support the social networks and relationships that exist between users.
Achieved by using the Friend-Of-A-Friend (FOAF) vocabulary:
• People & resources described using the Resource Description Framework (RDF)
• Users will define their social networks and personal information spaces

Future Plans: sharing desktop resources within communities
Conclusion
ResourceBrowser demonstrates the combination of knowledge sharing and social networking tools
We have demonstrated it with Delta (as a resource repository)
No reason why it could not be linked with other (multiple) repository services eg. Jorum
Could be linked with other social networking tools eg. Elgg
