New in This Release

This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 3.2 release of ResolutionMD.

User Features

FDA clearance for Android client – Users may use the Android client for diagnosis on CT and MR modalities. See the “Indications for Use” section in the User Guide for full details.

Key Images – Key image objects are a DICOM object that enables any images within a study to be marked for inclusion in a key image series. The key images are references to significant images within the study. The key image series can reference one or more images from one or more series in

Calgary Scientific Inc. 18

ResolutionMD 5.3 Release Notes

the study. Key images that were created on another radiology system and saved with the study will be displayed in ResolutionMD. Key images are identified by key image indicator icons. Users can now search for the KO modality.

Related Studies – Users can retrieve all of the studies related to the current study they are viewing to facilitate comparison viewing and an overall better patient-centric experience. A related studies query will retrieve all studies matching the Patient ID of the current study.

A typical workflow would be to activate split view layout, query related studies, then load one of the related studies into the other view for comparison viewing.

Mobile Multi-Study Viewing – Users can load multiple studies on mobile devices and navigate between them within an imaging session. It is now possible to view multiple studies during a collaboration session. There is a new study tray interface for managing multi-study viewing.

Additional Modality Support – Users may now search for and view Ophthalmology (OP) and Endoscopy (ES) images.

Improved Loading Behavior – Users accessing images on the web client now gain faster access to a study. Individual series are loaded on demand, and a user no longer needs to wait for the entire study to load to use the application.

Administrative Features

Deployment - In an effort to improve the ease of use for an administrator, and lessen our Support burden, the following enhancements in the area of Deployment are required for this release:

1. Audit logging • Single audit log – HIPAA Compliant / Standard based format1. Enhanced Configuration Utility - Administrators can access a redesigned

configuration utility to easily modify DICOM Q/R configuration, LDAP, SSL and other settings.

Multitenant - This functionality will allow for better scalability of the ResolutionMD platform and reduce the hardware burden for customers that require multiple distinct instances of ResolutionMD. With the multitenant

Calgary Scientific Inc. 19

ResolutionMD 5.3 Release Notes

capability, an administrator can configure a single ResolutionMD server to support multiple distinct customers, each with their own authentication, data archives, etc. The requirements are as follows:

1. Share server / application instances to enable multiple user groups to uniquely access customer-specific archive or archives (including an efficient Multi-PACS solution with multitenant).

1. Operational tools enabling connection to customer authentication systems (LDAP) upgrades and partitioned tenant configuration elements which can be backed-up and restored.
