Shared values and benefits

We’re working with local communities to create shared benefits based on shared values. Investments benefit our neighbors, local business and organizations we work with.

• 100+: Employees, $14 million paid through salary and benefits in 2015

• 60+: Local contractors and suppliers within the Copper Triangle area including San Carlos

• $22 million: Resolution dollars spent in the Copper Triangle in 2014 and 2015• $17 million: To date, spent with Native American or Tribal-owned business

• 14 mutually beneficial agreements with community partners and organizations in 2015

Economic Impacts

- During construction, we anticipate to employ approximately 3,000 people.

- During operations, we’ll directly employ 1,400 people and an additional 2,300 indirect jobs.

- Superior will benefit in hundreds of millions of dollars in wages being spent in and around the area.

Permitting the Project – About NEPA

• Project will be developed on federal land

• Before the land exchange moves forward and construction begins, Resolution must begin the U.S. National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process

• Established in 1969, NEPA requires a comprehensive environmental and regulatory review process with public consultation

• Evaluation of environmental impacts the mine will create as well as our actions to minimize impacts and commitment to provide offsets

• Process can take 5 years or more

• NEPA provides a forum for significant public input, government to government consultation
