Residential Construction Keying-RCKsystem,involvesasinglekey,replicatedtobeusedbytradesmenforallhomesduringtheconstructionphase.Buildingcompanieswillbesupplied25keysfree(additionalkeysbynegotiation),whichcanbereusedonfuturehouses/apartments.EachbuildingcompanyreceivesapersonalisedRCKsystem,sonotwobuildingcompanieshavethesamekeys.Whenthenewhomeownertakesoverthehouse,theyarepresentedwiththeirownkeys,whichwhenusedautomaticallyresetsthelockcylinder,makingtheRCKinoperableandprovidingthehomeownerwiththeirownuniquecombination.

Master Keying–MasterKeyingisamethodofcontrollingaccessthroughabuilding.Akeyscheduleispreparedfromprovidedfloorplans.Includesakeytrackingsystemwhichlocateskeysandlocksandkeepsasecureprocedureonwhatkeyinghasbeenundertaken.Securityisbasedonasystemwhereonelockhasitsownkey.Thiskeywillnotoperateanyotherlocksinthesystemhoweverwherealllocksareinthesamesystemthelockscanbeoperatedbytheonemasterkey.
