Overview, Objectives & Learning Outcomes
Check your drinking is a survey that is designed to help participants answer some questions about their drinking habits as well as test their assumptions of regular College and University student drinking habits. Once completed, the survey calculates the participant’s results and provides information about their drinking in terms of yearly costs, calories/weight gain, compares their drinking habits to the norm of their age and gender, discuses whether or not their drinking is considered a “problem” and finally shows the risks drinking can cause to one’s body and how to reduce these risks.
Learning OutcomesParticipants will:
1. Gain knowledge of the tool “Check Your Drinking”2. Consider their own drinking habits, as well as the impact that their drinking may have on their life and
their bodies.3. Consider how they can educate their students through programming about safe drinking using a tool
such as “Check Your Drinking.”
