I chose to look into Justin Bieber as he has a very unique and interesting

background starting out his career.

Justin Bieber used YouTube as his platform to form his career. His original intentions were never to go into the music industry however he has always had a passion for music. Justin started a YouTube account with the username ‘Kidrauhl’ and uploaded videos of himself singing covers of songs such as ‘With You’ by Chris Brown, ‘Cry Me A River’ by Justin Timberlake, ‘So Sick’ by Ne-yo and many more so that his friends and family from across the world would be able to watch them. However the videos of Justin went viral and got many more views, comments and subscribers than ever expected! Justin was later found online by Scooter Braun and signed by the Island Def Jam Recordings Music Group as Usher Raymond as a mentor.

Justin Bieber’s career has taken off tremendously since 2008 as he has released 6 albums. His song ‘Baby’ featuring Ludacris from his debut album ‘My World 2.0’ was released in January 2010, this instantly became an international hit as it charted at number five on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top ten in several international markets. His music video for this song became the most watched video on YouTube in record history. Justin’s album ‘My World 2.0’ was reviewed and received “generally favourable reviews”. It debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 making Justin Bieber the youngest solo male act to top the chart since Stevie Wonder in 1963. This album also debuted at number one in places such as; Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and it reached the top ten in fifteen other countries.

Justin Bieber’s created a twitter and facebook page to promote himself and his music, he also did this to be able to connect with his fans. His twitter account was recorded to have more than six million followers in 2010. Creating a twitter follower record. When Justin first started off he found it very hard to get his music played on air at radio stations because of his age. Therefore him and his manager decided to be creative with their promoting and travelled to as many radio stations as they could every single day for a few months, he would perform his first single ‘One Time’ live on air to receive airplay. In time his songs started to receive airplay from these radio stations and he soon enough became a worldwide teen sensation.

This film was then released in February 2011. It also included home videos of Justin at a very young age, fan videos sent in as a promotional contest which ran for 24-hours. It was classed as a 3D Concert Documentary film, purple 3D glasses were specially made and supplied to cinemas and theatres in America and London. These became a huge craze as they were something new and very unique as this had never been done before. In December 2013 Justin will be releasing any 3D Concert Documentary film into cinemas following his ‘Believe’ tour and showing fans an insight to his personal life.
