• From the results of this study, when Questionnaire distributed before the third day of the competition a total of 30 subjects were moderately high (17-24) . This shows that there is no athlete in high levels of anxiety.
• When Questionnaire distributed an hour before the match, there were 25 subjects hockey athletes are at a high level (24 or more) and 5 of the athlete is moderate to high (17-24). This indicates that the level of concern for athletes is very high.
![Page 14: RESEARCH Thailand](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062522/56d6bd5e1a28ab30168db9d6/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
• This proves that there are differences in the level of anxiety among subjects in both the test run.
• Overall, the table above shows the level of concern is at a high level before an hour of the match in the last minute of the match to begin

• Based on the table above, the analysis shows the total scores before the 3 days of competition are 566 per hour while the total score before the game is 730.
• This shows an increase in total score on an hour before the match.
• The overall mean value 3 days before the competition is 25.84.
![Page 17: RESEARCH Thailand](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062522/56d6bd5e1a28ab30168db9d6/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)
• While an hour before the game also has a mean value of 10.20.
• Analysis of both tests showed mean difference of 5.74 is obtained. This clearly shows that there is a comparison of the mean between the two different timing of questionnaires distribution.

DISCUSSION
• The study found significant differences in the level of anxiety among the data questionnaire distributed three days before the game and one hour before the match.
• In addition, the findings of the analysis show that there is an increasing level of concern before the hour when compared to the level of competition concerns three days before the game.
![Page 21: RESEARCH Thailand](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062522/56d6bd5e1a28ab30168db9d6/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)
• Many sports psychologists like Arent and Landers (2003); Weinberg and Gould (2007), states that the optimal level of anxiety can help athletes achieve remarkable performance, while the anxiety level is too high and too low to bring the issue to achieve good performance.
• Thus, researchers suggest coaches should run a psychological skills training (PST) to reduce the level of anxiety, especially at the last moment. It also is due to the findings show that almost all athletes, 25 athletes from 30 athletes to achieve a high level of anxiety before an hour of the match.
![Page 22: RESEARCH Thailand](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062522/56d6bd5e1a28ab30168db9d6/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
• Anxiety is a negative emotional state characterized by nervousness, anxiety and fear and is associated with activation or arousal body (Weinberg and Gould, 2007).
• Therefore the coach must find a solution in order to improve performance in a hockey game.
CONCLUSIONS
![Page 23: RESEARCH Thailand](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062522/56d6bd5e1a28ab30168db9d6/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
• Researchers also found that anxiety in hockey among athletes because it is one sport which is categorized as an aggressive sport.
• In conclusion, the study found that athletes have a very high level of anxiety at the last minute before set foot in the field compared to the level of anxiety before match days
