POP Pop Music was Originated in 1950’s. It gained popularity

in 1960’s It was derived from rock and roll. Short songs

with a basic format of repeated chorus’ and catchy

melodies. Pop music is an eclectic mix of many different

styles of music from jazz to country, rock and roll to

rap.There are core elements which define pop , such include

generally short-to-medium length songs, written in a basic

format often the verse-chorus structure, as well as the

common employment of repeated choruses, melodic tunes,

and catchy hooks.

Mis en scene of a pop music video can depend on the music, lyrics and the type of music video that is being filmed. Mis en scene includes, clothing certain outfits for different people, artist, band , make up, themes, props, performance equipment, artist merchandise, locations concert halls, venues, streets houses and facial expressions.

Album Cover’s

In the above picture we could see different album cover’s of the early pop artist “Madonna”. She uses her own picture on every album cover. Different fonts are used . Things common on her album cover are that she has her name written on every album cover and is clearly visible. Different camera shots are used to take the cover picture. The colour scheme is completely different in every cover picture. She’s making different kind of poses mostly she’s trying to seduce. In some of her covers she’s making innocent faces.
